“Am I okay?! Do you expect me to be?!" I raised my voice, raising my body to sit.

He stretched his hand to reach for me, "I'm sorry, I didn't know he woul-".

“I clearly told you! I begged you to protect me. I could have died. How are you going to protect me and the unborn child if you can't just listen to me and protect me? Do you know what could have happened if I didn't step back?” I shouted.

“I'm really sorry. I didn't want him to cause chaos in the pack,” He apologized, placing his hand on my shoulder as his eyes lingered on the stitch.

I jerked his hand off me. “You have to choose one! Being the Alpha of this pack? Or being my mate? Which one do you think it's better when it's safer and more protected? I'm pregnant, Damian, with your child, and you can't be slacking on your responsibilities. I understand you're now the Alpha but you need to learn to balance it out and know when to prioritize one over the other, okay?”.
