Sharon stepped out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her petite figure. It had been a long time since the whole supernatural fiasco that went down at Daniel's. As much as she wanted to take advantage of this strike and spend much time with her friends, she didn't think she could psychologicaly bear the brunt of another strange event. Besides, her friends were locked up at their homes out of fear. She wouldn't blame them though. No sane person would go through what they did and think it wise to parambulate around the street like everything was alright.
She sighed and slumped to the bed tiredly. She wasn't completely dry though and the bed began to soak up a bit but she paid no attention to it.She had more worrisome issues to think about.
Where did it go wrong? Why can't everything go back to the way it was before? Normal.
The shrilling ringtone of her phone startled her and she opened her eyes. She picked up her phone and checked the screen. The ID
Daniel stared at the paper which contained those detailed words. The words which revealed the weapon of Luke's demise. Annabelle had laid her head on his thighs with her eyes closed. Although, she wasn't sleeping. Eric sat at the couch opposite him, typing away on his phone. Occasionally, the two would spare glances at each other. Daniel glaring, Eric smirking. The fact that Eric decided to stay the night was reason enough for the staredown between the two siblings."Oh,will you two cut it out already? The heated staredown is enough to fry ten billion eggs." Annabelle groaned from her position below. Daniel caught her lips twitching up slightly to form a smile, though her eyes remained closed."Don't look at me. I'm just here minding my own business." Eric shrugged, giving a blank stare at the couple."Right." Daniel snorted with a roll of his eyes. He had been on edge since Eric's arrival. He knew he was safe at least but he wasn't sure about Annabel
A streaming light from the moon penetrated through the window to illuminate a small room. A room which held two captives.Jake groaned as part of the moonlight bathed his face, rousing him awake. He tried to move but discovered to his dismay that his hands were chained to the wall."What the hell?" He was fully awake now and took an observatory glance around his prison. It was barely occupied. A few crates here and there. A large wooden table beside the door. His ears perked up as he heard another moan. A moan of pain. He glanced to his right just in time to see a barely awake Tomiwa."Jake?" She groaned."I'm here, babe." He whispered."Where are we?" She grunted in pain as she felt the impact of the chains around her wrist."I don't know. Some kind of small room." He replied. He craned his neck to look towards the window. A bad choice as he felt a crick in his neck. He cried out in pain.Tomiwa didn't get the chance to comfort him as the door
Eric stopped the car and the trio stepped out. His eyes went wide as he took in the sight of the huge building in front of them."Wow. This is huge. " He whistled."Yeah. Well,we can have the time to admire it later." Daniel retorted indifferently. He wore a black hoodie and navy blue jeans. His signature crossbow was held at his right hand. Glancing at his watch, the time read 1:30AM."Alright, this is it." Eric said. He pulled out a shot gun and cocked it,a serious gaze crossing his face as he stared at the mansion." We've gone through our plans and I know no one is having second thoughts."He stared at the other two.Daniel nodded. However, Annabelle who had been quiet throughout the ride to the place, said nothing."Babe?" Daniel turned to her. " What's wrong?""Honestly, I'm just having a strange feeling.Something just doesn't feel right." She sighed, running her hand through her hair. She wasn't a stranger to sudden intu
Annabelle grunted in pain as she fell on her back for about the hundredth time. So far she was fighting a losing battle. She had tried every attack imaginable on Chris. But try as she might,Chris was just too experienced and powerful. The last time she was able to take him down was almost a year ago at the forest. But even at that, It took using Tomiwa as bait for that to work. But this time, there was no bait.No plans. No strategy. Just the two of them with a restricted Jake and Tomiwa as the spectators.Chris walked towards Annabelle who was still crouched on all fours. He kicked her at the sides, eliciting a grunt from her."Goodness,I'm having way too much fun." He cackled as he held her by the back of her neck. He pulled her towards him with her back resting on his chest."I expected much more from you,Annabelle. " He whispered into her ear. " But I suppose this is what I should expect from someone with a limited diet. Tell me,when last di
Daniel stared hopelessly as Luke walked to him. He was in a tight corner. Figuratively and Literally. The look on Luke's face was something he had never seen before. Almost like he was deranged. Like someone who had been expecting a gift but had to wait a long while for it. Well,so to speak.'God,I'm really screwed.' Daniel thought as he looked around for some kind of escape. The training he went through at the hands of Annabelle in the past seemed pointless now. Sure,he may stand a chance against any regular vampire. But this was Luke. The first. The father of them all."I would like to say it has been a pleasure knowing you." Luke said dryly. " But I would just be lying to myself."Before Daniel could move...or even think of his next action,he found himself in the tight grip of Luke, who had held him by the scruff of his hoodie and raised him up."At long last." Luke muttered darkly,as his eyes began to darken red. " I am invincible. "
Daniel stood in front of the raging blue ocean at the beach clad in nothing but a pair of blue shorts. It had been seven years since the battle. He had now added more muscle mass and sported facial hair. His mouth pursed in a thin line as he reminisced all that had happened in almost a decade:After the strike was called off,the university resumed and everything went on. Almost like nothing happened. Projects, assignment and finally graduation.Sharon and Segun were going steady. Jake and Tomiwa' relationship blossomed. A smile crossed his features when he remembered a call from Jake giving him the news about purchasing an engagement ring. Well it was about time. Seven years of dating was no laughing matter. Eric had joined the armed forces, convincing Daniel to tag along. With vampires out of existence, the brothers could actually channel their abilities to defending their country. Though Esther disapproved her son's intentions at first, It took a lot of convincing and rem
Daniel listened intently to the deep voice of the dean of his faculty booming over the mic. It had been almost three hours since he started his introductory speech and it didn’t seem like he was going to stop anytime soon. So far, it was talks of welcome, rules, how to excel in the university and of course, the old days speech of how he suffered in his youth and was able to breakthrough with determination. Daniel sighed for the thousandth time in annoyance, wishing the old man could just get it over with. Another thing he regretted was not eating before entering the big hall as the results began to manifest in form of a growling stomach. He glanced at his watch: it read 2:30pm.Throwing his head backwards, he let out a frustrated groan which caught the attention of his friend sitting beside him.“Dude, just try and endure, okay?"Daniel turned to him. “ Easy for you to say,Jake. My stomach is killing me. You know I didn’t eat before l
“Wake up, wake up, wake up!! It’s time for morning devotion!!” came the voice of a random student as he went from door to door in the hostel banging rather loudly on each door.He was met with curses from some rooms as the boys voiced their displeasure at being disturbed at a rather early morning.Daniel rose from his bed and glanced at his phone screen. 4:30 AM glowed brightly“Seriously?” He grunted in annoyance. On the bed below him, Jake slept surprisingly soundly over the noise.Unable to go back to sleep, Daniel hopped down from the bed and went outside to relieve himself. Knowing the state of the hostel toilets, he opted to usethe gutter near the hostel borehole. How grown up boys managed to make use of the toilet without flushing was still a thing of mystery to him. Yet this same boys outside will be acting like princes in order to get the eyes of their feminine counterpart. He had just finished

*FLASHBACK* ~1517~A nobleman sat in a chair in the living room entertaining his guest. Though it was a traditional setting, the living room was quite furnished and neat. Two chairs made of mahogany wood were on each side of a silver-ardorned table which was occupied with different delicacies of food. On the floor was a rug made of animal skin. At the adjacent side of the room stood a wooden shelf which housed different ornaments made of gold. It was quite clear to those who knew him and those who visited him for the first time that the nobleman was very rich and powerful. However within the exterior of the man was a soul pocessed with greed and drunk with power. The nobleman wanted more. He wanted the whole town and how he got wealthy in the first place was not by clean acts."I te
Deep within an abandoned area was an uncompleted building. In it sat four men surrounding a lamp and playing a game of cards. These men were what you could refer to as the scum of the earth. Hardened criminals who had wasted lives without remorse. And they all looked the same. Rugged, heartless and ugly. This place was their regular hideout where they all met to drink and gamble as a means of celebration of a successful raid. The snap of a twig from a short distance outside the building caught their attention and they paused."Tunde." The leader whispered to a short guy beside him. "Find out what that was."The short guy got up and brought out a revolver from his back pocket. With a look of alert on his face, he cocked it and stepped out. The remaining three were waiting for his return when an ear-piercing scream was heard. They quickly sprang to their feet and pulled out their guns. Moments later, footsteps could be heard approaching the building and the silou
