CHAPTER FIVE

Raven pov

The second probability was that I pass neutral ground and appear in the human world. Gosh, that is probably the best of my situation. That shouldn't have been in the options to start with but it is better than death.

And thirdly, I pry into another pack, then consider myself a rouge, and get killed once I'm in sight. Either way, they all end with me dying. pathetic isn't it?

I guess it's survival instincts because one minute I know I have to die, and the next minute, I'm running away from the death that I would definitely face.

When I saw Green Oak Pack art on the top of a huge and gigantic gate, I knew that option three had befallen me.

Well, I can not die by the hands of the rogues, so it's better to die a fair death. To my benefit—to the benefit of death actually—the gate to the unknown pack was wide ajar, and I fled in with no caution.

Even the guards could not stop me, and once I was inside, I swerved to see the rouges retreating in defeat.

“Yes! Take that you all stupid idiotic rogues” I screamed shaking my little ass on them at my little victory

"Who are you?" The Stern voice of a guard questioning me brought me out of my moment of celebration back to the reality that I had just entered another pack without permission.

"First things first, I'm not a rouge. I just happened to get chased by those rouges," I began, pointing towards where the rogues retreated to while raising my hands slowly and letting them down in a way of telling the guard to calm down while I took a few steps away from him.

"And yeah, it was my fault because I refused to listen to my parents. Step mother and my real father, technically, I went hunting, and now I am in the middle of somewhere I can not even fathom." I concluded and heaved a deep breath.

Gosh, I am spouting nonsense, but who would not when the sharp and dark gaze of the guard bored into my eyes and fear gripped me as that familiar chill made my body vibrate, but then this very delicious smell lingered in the air making my wolf roam about uncomfortably. Mind you, my wolf has never spoken past a sentence to me, much less move about like this.

"So I would take all the explanations you just made that you got missing in a nutshell, right?" The guard asked, and his deep baritone voice seemed like music to my ears as it sent shivers down my spine.

Yuck, what's this foreign feeling? Damn brain and body and wolf, I have a freaking boyfriend!!! And his name is Jack!

"My Lord, who is she?" I heard someone else ask, and I took the opportunity to stare at his appearance and around me. Wait! What? Did he just call this guard, My Lord?

Unless-unless—Oh my goodness. My hand flew to my mouth as I my legs moved back on their own accords

Staring at his outfit, I realized that I had been talking to someone of the royal family. Only royalties dress in this royal regalia.

"You are...you are...damn, you are royalty?" I  forced my speech out as I kept stuttering, my brows twitching and keeping that expression I keep when I am accusing someone of telling lies to me. He did not really lie to me, but I don’t care as it equals the same thing because he led me on, keeping me convinced that he was a guard and letting me speak as I like.

"How dare you call the Alpha a member of the royal house? Have you gone nuts?" I heard someone yell, and immediately a blade was sent to my neck, piercing through my skin, and as a liquid flowed down my neck. Blood. This is it, the end for me.

How great my star and destiny can be. Accept me into your covers holy goddess since you really want me up this early, I can’t believe I just rasped my mouth at not just anybody but the Alpha of this pack? I am so gone, I will surely see my mother and brother now. I was so caught up in my thoughts that I did not hear their questions

"Is an Alpha not a member of a royal home, or you all just got confused?" I questioned with a hitched breath and lowered gaze, daring not to look at the Alpha or his guard in the eye for fear of the unknown. I think I'm pretty lucky that they had not sliced me into two at this point.

"Mate." I heard him mutter, and I instinctively looked behind me in search of who he was referring to as mate, but at the sound of mate, my inner wolf peeked.

As the guard, sorry Alpha stared into my eyes, I knew that my eyes had given off the golden glow. No, no, no, no!!

Lost, and now what? A mate, who is the Alpha of this pack? I'd rather go into tribulation and steal Martin from his mate than accept a total stranger as my mate.

"I, Raven Asmodeus, reject you, Alpha..." I started but trailed off almost immediately as I realized I didn't even know the Alpha's name to complete the severing of ties ritual.

"Stupid! Just as much is expected from an omega." The Alpha suddenly scoffed as he glared at me while the blade of the sword that was still pointed at my neck loosened up a bit.

"That's not how it's done, darling. I, Alpha Claw Gray-night of Green Oak Pack, reject you, Omega Raven Asmodeus, as my fated mate." The guard—no wait, that's not right—the Alpha proclaimed, and I could not believe I had just been rejected till the pain hit me right in the center of my heart like I was pierced with an arrow.

How dare he? Wait a minute, why am I even angry when I wanted to reject him first? Why did I even try to reject him? Is my wish not to find my destined mate? Gosh, I'm such a psycho.
