FINDING PROOF

“Why won't you believe me, Alpha Aleksander?” Alina pleaded, her frustration evident in her voice and stance as she stood before him in his office chamber. “I'm telling the truth, I swear it.”

Aleksander sighed, his gaze finally leaving the paper in front of him as he leaned back in his seat, his eyes narrowing slightly. “So, this is what you've been pushing for? This is why you came here?”

Alina's hand threaded through her hair, her anxiety heavy. “It's been three days since your father's visit, and I fear we're running out of time. I don't understand why you refuse to work with me.”

Aleksander's expression remained skeptical, his voice firm. “I'll only consider it if you provide me with concrete proof, Alina. Anything less is just empty words.”
