Chapter 11: Leaving Her

[Sam’s POV]

Gia’s orgasmic and pleasurable moans were the most divine and euphonious music I have ever heard. None of us planned on taking it this far with her tonight. Granted she is our mate, and it is natural for mates to seal the bond upon first meeting each other. With her being human though, we wanted to wait and give her time, but she is so intoxicating.

I haven’t had issues with self-control since my early days of being a youngling vampire. “We need to take her home,” I said softly to Max and Damen. “I don’t want to let her go,” Max said with a low growl. “I don’t either, but...” I started to say when Damen interrupted. “We won’t be gone from her for long,” said Damen. The three of us looked down with a pouting sadness on our faces. This one human woman has managed to turn three adult male beasts into pudding in her little hands.

Damen lifted her legs to delicately put back on her pants, shoving her panties in his pocket. I couldn’t help but shake my head slightly and laugh a little as the perv pocketed them. Of course, I would have done the same. Max held her upper body while I placed her thin little black shirt back on and Damen grabbed her shoes and purse to carry to the SUV.

I picked her up out of Max’s lap and cradled her exhausted body in my arms. Feeling her so close to me had tingling butterflies dancing in my stomach and sparks flowing into me. “I will get Jason to send some pack warriors to keep a patrol on her and her son, until we can be with her again,” Max directed. “I don’t like the idea of leaving her, and I am going to stay with her until we can get everything worked out for her and her son to live at the mansion,” Damen said with a look of sternness. “That is fine, but from a distance so we don’t freak her out right away,” I ordered him. It was decided and Max went to talk to his Beta, Jason and Chris, his Gamma to arrange everything quickly.

As we stepped out the club via the VIP room exit to our SUVs parked in the alleyway, I caught a faint smell of burning flesh and hawthorn tree, which had me on heightened alert. Only certain types of demons reek of that combination of smells. These demons are expert hunters and assassins. I notice Max and Damen caught the smell as well, and Max mind links his warriors to inspect the vehicles before we get into the main one.  “All clear Alpha,” Jason declares to Max. “Let’s get in and get out of here quickly, but everyone keep an eye out to make sure we are not followed,” Max commands his crew with sense of urgency in his voice.

Max, Damen, Gia, and I ride in the middle SUV, with Max’s Beta in the vehicle ahead of ours and his Gamma in the one behind ours. I keep our gorgeous sleeping mate tightly in my arms, as Damen finds her address on her phone. Looking at her sleeping so contently I don’t want to leave her for the night. We have a council meeting to attend tomorrow morning, and we need to give her some time to process our new dynamic. “We will need to move her and her son to the mansion soon,” I say to them while staring at her.

“Agreed, and I will get all preparations made for them,” Max states. “I will do some research on the bond memory upload, while I watch her and until you both can be with us in a couple days,” Damen says with curiosity in his eyes. “It is odd for hunter demons to be in our territory without permission from one of us,” says Damen as Max lets out a growl.

[Max’s POV]

Damen has a great point. Only a few times in the history of our shared lands has any hunter demon breached our borders. This is not a coincidence, and for it to be at the club, so close to the four of us. “Let’s send out some scouts to track the hunter down. We will need at least two scouts from each of our packs, lairs, and covens on this mission,” I instruct with a hint of concern in my voice. “I agree. I think we should have Gia and her son meet with Trinton for a reading of her potential abilities as well,” Damen requests. Trinton is the high warlock of Saint Paul. He is a magnificent being with strong psychic abilities. He and his coven are also highly trusted allies to our three families. Sam and I nod our head in agreement with getting Trinton involved.

[Sam’s POV]

Listening to her breathing is more than comforting to me. Staring at the passing city lights, listening to her breathing, filling her chest rise and fall gently, I ponder what our future will be like. I cannot wait to meet her son. Thinking about the five of us as a family triples the butterflies in my stomach. The three of us will do anything for her and her kid.

As we approach our exit off I-94 and onto interstate 494, I feel a small pang in my chest, knowing I will have to leave her until the day after next. If she wasn’t human, we would pick her child up and take them both immediately to the mansion. However, this world is so very different from what she has been led to believe.

Warlocks, witches, fae, and mages have used powerful spells to cloak the world of the supernatural. They have also developed philosophies, religions, and other set constitutions that humans generally follow blindly. Only through close and intimate contact can a human possibly see us for what we are. There are some humans who know of some of our existence such as the Vatican church secret council members, higher level monks, some celebrities, some departments of governments around the world, and other confidential religious leaders. These humans gained knowledge primarily from covert research, but some had help from supernatural beings that enjoy mischief and chaos, mainly fae, demons and some angels. Yes, they all exist! This world is far more expansive in species than most humans could possibly conceive. Hell, at one point there were trolls and giants, most are extinct now though.

The vehicle pulls up to a small townhouse community, which appears quiet and safe. Our vehicle passes Beta Jason’s, and we pull alongside a truck the driveway of her end unit. Jason and Chris’ vehicles park at the other end in the guest parking spots. “I will bring her up and talk to her sister,” I affirm.

Max gets out first, opens my door and picks her up so that I can get out of the vehicle. I grab her shoes and purse before Max places her back in my arms. Thankfully the windows of the SUV are blackout tinted with only our driver in view, as we don’t want to worry her sister. Human women tend to have much to worry about, especially when it is night and multiple men are involved.

I walk her to the front door, knock gently and wait for the door to open. When it opens, a beautiful and slightly younger lady proceeds closer to the screen door between us. She shoots me a glare of suspicion before she opens the door. “What happened to Gia!” she declares with a look that could kill.

I immediately use my trance ability to take over the situation and to keep it from further aggravation. She steps aside as I carry Gia up to her room. I lay her in her bed and pull the covers over her before I place a longing kiss on her forehead. Before I leave, I alter her sister’s memory of how Gia got home.

We pull out of her driveway to allow her sister to leave. Damen gets out of the vehicle to stay behind with some of Max’s warriors that arrived to watch over her and her son. Max and I gave a knowing look of frustration and pain of having to be away from her for the next day or so. Pulling away from her street, my heart clenches up and worry sets in.

[Gia’s POV]My soul was thrust into a portal. Feeling the energies swirling around my aura, while watching the colorful explosions of light all around me, had me confused and in awe. I looked up towards my destination and saw what appeared to be a city, that my soul body was fast approaching.Upon reaching the city, my body slowed down and I spun myself around so that my feet would hit whatever the destination of my trajectory is. When I landed, I felt the softest grass tickle my toes and smelt the most fragrant of flowers that I have ever smelled. The air around me was light and warm. Three suns and three moons radiated around whatever planet I was on.As I adjusted my vision to better see, a beautiful and tall woman, wearing a Greek-style white dress, approached me. [Gia’s POV]Damen started his story by telling me that the world around us is not the whole picture. He told this fantastic tale about how werewolves (AKA shifters), vampires, demons, angels, fae, witches, warlocks, and just about anything else that one could imagine are all real. They live among us, work at many of our businesses and governments, and for hundreds of years they have kept themselves cloaked with help from witches, warlocks and other spellcasters.Supernatural beings have even been a part of creating many religions, as the grand creation stories have helped humans to cope and to forget the existence of the other beings. There are those that prey upon humans, depending upon laws, locations, and the types of beings they are. There have been many times throughout history where supernatural beings ruled over humans. Also, times where they have wreaked havoc upon humans as well, an example would be the Dark Ages. Although there has been a waxing and waning of power struggles

It is just that I and my wolf, Dom, have not been able to concentrate without her with us.All the North American leaders are in attendance here. We received notice of this urgent and mandatory meeting a few days ago. The only way Sam and I were able to get Damen out of this meeting was to get emergency permission for him to stay with our mate to keep her and her son safe. Thankfully, the council elders granted us the request. I fully trust my pack warriors to keep her safe, but it is just not the same as one of us mates doing it.Sam’s General and my Beta and Gamma have been in hammering out the protection details for the past six hours now. We have also made plans for the tri-circle mansion renovations and move details for Gia and Dante to move in swiftly and smoothly.I registered Dante at the pack school for

I must pace myself though, as this is about her, and as much as I want to feel her insides with my iron-hard tumescence, I felt her panic attack happening and need to break her free from anxiety. Since marking her, I have felt her emotions as if they are my own, her worries, fears, doubts, pleasure, and everything. She is so passionate and feels so deeply, that it pains my heart for her to feel anything except happiness, peace, and pleasure. She is my mission in life now and I am fully dedicated to break the chains of trauma that have held her down. Running my pointer finger down from the start of her slit slowly I watch as her body reacts to my touch, and it is exquisite. There is something about Damen that repels my anxiety as our bodies are close together. There is so much I want to understand right now, but this gnawing feeling of being followed has my mind occupied. Damen places his hand on mine as we sit in the back of this massive SUV with Jace and Dante. The instant his hand is on mine, my body relaxes. We seem to be heading towards the town of Afton, or at least in that direction from what I can tell. After turning my head to take in Damen’s exquisite features, I glance back towards my window. That is when I see it again! The strange silhouette figure appears to be moving through the trees and keeping up in pace with our vehicle. My hand tenses in Damen’s and he follows my gaze towards the figure as well. “We are being followed,” I say in a concerned whisper to Damen. “Once we reach the border of our lands, it will not be able to get through our current wards,” Damen attempt

[Gia’s POV]Staring up at the four goddesses, I began feeling even smaller in these vast phenomena of life, death, the after, and in-between. “Once again, I see your wheels turning in your mind, my child,” Visha said. “How do I become what you want me to be? My soul has not even progressed to the next stage of the divine being. I know I was on the “soul” path to leveling up, but I failed in this life,” I said in a melancholy tone. “We brought your body here with you. We need that vessel specifically, as we coded it for your transformation. You did not fail! You are still on your soul path, but with an extra boost in leveling up,” Hecate declared. The word transformation pressed forward in my mind. “Yes, you will go through a transformation, one that will change you from mortal to immortal,” Visha replied to the thought in my head. Of course, she can read my mind, I said with an internal giggle. “Wait, immortal! But I will outlive Max and my son,” I questioned in panic. “The blessings

[Gia’s POV]Time slowed as the towering goddess walked from behind the triple moon goddesses' thrones to me. My soul buzzed with electricity the closer she got. Like an Amazon woman in some cheesy 70's movie, her height was unbelievable, standing at least ten feet tall. Her skin shimmered as if every cell was made of diamonds. In contrast, her dress is the boldest color of sapphire. The dress was knee-length with triangular-fringed ends. A shawl covered one of her shoulders, and both garments were bound at her waist by a diamond-studded belt. My eyes followed the trail of her exquisite beauty to her dark black hair that disappeared behind her shoulders. Upon her head, she wore a triple-banded gold crown with fourteen dangling Lemurian stones placed approximately two inches apart. When my eyes locked on her sapphire-colored eyes, I felt mine roll back into my head. A warm and gentle breeze flew through me, and I could feel her large hand take hold of me. His grin was wicked and sadistic, revealing his true malicious intent.I did not falter or look away, as he marched straight towards me, with a grin that was twisted and malevolent, a clear sign of his sadistic joy.Our destinies seemed to align at this moment as if guided by the spark that had opened the portal between worlds. [Gia's POV]We walked through a different door out of the ritual chamber and entered a long hallway. The air was heavy with incense and the sound of our footsteps echoed against the stone walls. I couldn't shake off the feeling that I was being watched, that the very walls were observing me and whispering secrets to each other. As we ventured down the hall, the torches lining the hallway seemed to ignite on their own as we walked by. [Gia's POV]The darkness seemed to stretch on forever as I flew back, the walls of the tunnel closing in on me until I hit something solid. It was pitch black, but I could faintly make out the outlines of the walls and ceiling. The darkness was so thick that it seemed to swallow every trace of light, the only source coming from a faint glimmer bouncing off the walls. I could see a liquid pooling around my hands, a viscous black substance that seemed to pulsate and writhe in the dim light. Again, in this darkness, I thought as I stood up and wiped my hands on my dress. "It will not be long now, my child," I recognized Hecate's voice as I stood in the darkness. Her words echoed around me, bouncing off the walls and filling the void with her presence. "Hecate?" I called out, my voice trembling slightly. I couldn't see her, but I could feel her energy surrounding me. "Yes, my dear," she responded, her voice coming from all directions. "What is this place?" I asked, looking around in
