[Gia’s POV]

Damen started his story by telling me that the world around us is not the whole picture. He told this fantastic tale about how werewolves (AKA shifters), vampires, demons, angels, fae, witches, warlocks, and just about anything else that one could imagine are all real. They live among us, work at many of our businesses and governments, and for hundreds of years they have kept themselves cloaked with help from witches, warlocks and other spellcasters.

Supernatural beings have even been a part of creating many religions, as the grand creation stories have helped humans to cope and to forget the existence of the other beings. There are those that prey upon humans, depending upon laws, locations, and the types of beings they are.

There have been many times throughout history where supernatural beings ruled over humans. Also, times where they have wreaked havoc upon humans as well, an example would be the Dark Ages. Although there has been a waxing and waning of power struggles, many of these creatures have chosen to abide by recent peace treaties, set forth by a council that is made up of every type of being of intelligent life, even a few humans.

Several larger and more powerful governments including ours, has whole covert departments designated to the research of, diplomacy with, and policing of the supernatural world. I guess, Area 51 and Aliens are not the only focus of these types of departments. Where does that leave me now, besides sitting in my dining room, with five men who are far from human, supposedly?

“Wait, so let me get this straight, you Damen are a hybrid angel and fae and Prince of the Netherworld? Sam is the King of vampires in North America? Max is the Alpha King of werewolves of North America, and I am mated to the three of you, is that correct,” I shook my head in disbelief and questioned. “Maybe it would be better if I show you. Are you okay with that my dear,” Damen asked. “I am ready when you are,” I said with slight sarcasm in my expression and tone.

Damen stood up, smiled, and shot fricking black angel wings out his backside! “What the…,” I stopped myself from adding my favorite “F” word, knowing Dante was in ear shot. “Wow! That is the coolest thing ever,” Dante shouted from the kitchen, making Jace and Jackson laugh. I just sat there frozen in shock while staring at the sexiest man alive, who has wings, eyes that turn different colors and pupils that change shape.

Trying to keep myself from freaking out, I slammed the rest of my coffee down my throat. What if they drugged the coffee? Maybe I am still asleep. So many questions flooded my mind as I watched him retract his wings and sit down again.

Pinching myself I said, “I am sorry, this is going to take me a moment. I want to understand, so we are fated mates, everything you said is true, and I am Alice falling hard and fast down a very deep rabbit hole. Or maybe I am Dorothy. Either way this is a lot to consume.”

“I get to be the Mad Hatter then! Sam and Max can fight over who gets to be the March Hare or the Dormouse,” Damen gleefully stated with a chuckle. “This is amusing to you,” I questioned with slight annoyance.

Damen stood up, walked over to my side of the table, got down on one knee, grabbed my hand and said, “you are adorable and with your permission I would like to kiss you.” Tingles and sparks flew up my hand that he was holding, I smiled and moved closer to him. I looked into his ice blue eyes and said, “please.”

With that, Damen brought his lips closer to mine, feathered my lips lightly with his, and then pressed them firmly against mine. His kiss is pure magic! Electricity funneled from him into me while my arousal started to heighten. “Gross! PG only please,” Dante protested from the kitchen. We released our kiss. As I fell back into the chair feeling slightly euphoric, Damen smiled and went back to his seat.

My focus was brought back to the room, the table, the amazing smells of bacon coming from the kitchen, as Damen’s phone rang and broke me out of my spell. Damen answered the call as Jace grabbed my favorite Paris mug to refill the coffee.

[Damen’s POV]

Tasting my decadent mate’s lips has my focus shifting to what we could be doing in the bedroom. I only got a small taste of her sweet flower last night and have been painfully hard all night into this morning. So many things work differently in the world of supernatural beings versus humans.

When mates find each other, they spend days, sometimes weeks, mating. It would be the equivalent to humans on their honeymoons. Except with our kind, we don’t stop. No, we only desire each other more and more throughout the days, years, centuries, and so on.

I know this is a huge struggle for Max and Sam as well. The three of us are in a painful state of extreme blue balls right now, and our inner spirits are screaming to come undone with her. I know we must be patient, as this is all very new to her.

Thankfully, Max just broke me out of my love trance by calling me. After tapping accept on the phone, Max, and Sam both attack with the twenty questions on how our mate is doing, what is going on, does she know yet, what time should they expect us to have her moved into our mansion, etc. I reassured the both of them that I am working on it and she is doing well.

Before hanging up, I tell them that I did smell that same awful smell last night near her patio. I probably should have waited to tell them, as I know they are freaking out inside, but we don’t keep things a secret and it is their right to know that our mate might be in danger.

“Let’s eat,” Jackson says as they bring several large plates stacked high with pancakes, bacon, breakfast sausage, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, and muffins over to the table. Dante giggles and takes a seat at the table.

Alex places juices, cups, napkins, plates and eating utensils on the table, while Jace, Jackson, and Stefan take their seats. Once Alex joins us at the table, we start to distribute food on the plates, making sure Gia and Dante are taken care of first. Gia looks around at the crew devouring food like starving animals, as she sports a look of astonishment.

“You guys really can eat,” she declares. “You haven’t seen anything yet! Wait until we get back to the pack house,” Jackson proclaims with pride in his ability to consume mass quantities of food. “I have heard multiple mentions now of this pack house and mansion, who all lives there,” She questions while putting a small strawberry in her mouth.

I could just lick her right now. Damnit I need to get my mind on something else or I will not be able to refrain from grabbing her, running up to her room, locking the door, ripping her clothes off and having my way with her.

“Many years ago, our three families built a mansion that sits right in the middle of where all three of our territories meet. On Max’s side of the mansion there is a pack house that extends off one wing.

A pack house to werewolves is the main home of the pack. It is where many warriors, Max’s Beta, Gamma, their families, and traditionally the Alpha and his or her family live. Max takes up residence in the main mansion though.

Although our three mansions are connected, we each have lived in our own territorial side of the mansion. In the middle, where the three come together, there is a huge circular multi-story mini mansion. It has been vacant for many years, until we met you last night.

We have our builders working on restoring it for the five us to live in. Max’s Beta Jason, his Gamma Chris, and these fine fellows at this table will also be moving into the center with us. Sam has several men and I have several men we will be bringing to reside there as well. We are all very excited for you and Dante to move in with us,” I explain with a sense of pride and hope.

“Wait, what? What do you mean move in? We literally just met last night, and this is crazy,” Gia said with stress in her voice and posture. “It is natural for mates to live together upon finding each other. I understand that is not how it works for humans, but I can assure you that it is normal for us. Plus, we can keep you both safe on our lands. Whereas here, we would constantly be worried for you both,” I stated in hopes I explained it well enough.

“Are we in danger? I don’t understand the safety concern. Also, what about my home, and Dante’s school? Where is this mansion even located,” she inquired and understandably so. “You are the mate of the leaders of the most powerful families in North America. The safety of you and Dante are our top priority. Also, I think something followed us here from the club last night,” hoping I didn’t just freak her out by stating all of that.

[Gia's POV]The moment of impact of their magic upon my head produced tidal waves of energy into my being. It felt like a thousand hurricanes had collided with my skull, each with its unique fury and force, and they were all converging in an opus of chaos within my body. It was an experience beyond words, beyond comprehension, and yet, somehow, it was also beautiful in its terrifying way.The air around me seemed to ripple and distort. The world's colors blur and warp as if viewed through a broken lens. A bright light flashed before my eyes, momentarily blinding me before fading into a pulsating aura of energy that engulfed my entire body.I was thrust through an invisible portal in the sky and found myself falling feet first as the perception in the portal inverted. It is as if the two realms mirror each other's gravity, one where on one side you fly upwards, and the other you fall downwards. As my human vessel fell through the portal, a burst of energy filled my ears, drowning out a

[Gia’s POV]Staring up at the four goddesses, I began feeling even smaller in these vast phenomena of life, death, the after, and in-between. “Once again, I see your wheels turning in your mind, my child,” Visha said. “How do I become what you want me to be? My soul has not even progressed to the next stage of the divine being. I know I was on the “soul” path to leveling up, but I failed in this life,” I said in a melancholy tone. “We brought your body here with you. We need that vessel specifically, as we coded it for your transformation. You did not fail! You are still on your soul path, but with an extra boost in leveling up,” Hecate declared. The word transformation pressed forward in my mind. “Yes, you will go through a transformation, one that will change you from mortal to immortal,” Visha replied to the thought in my head. Of course, she can read my mind, I said with an internal giggle. “Wait, immortal! But I will outlive Max and my son,” I questioned in panic. “The blessings

  • Crossing The Bridge   Chapter 70: Air of Revelation

[Gia’s POV]Time slowed as the towering goddess walked from behind the triple moon goddesses' thrones to me. My soul buzzed with electricity the closer she got. Like an Amazon woman in some cheesy 70's movie, her height was unbelievable, standing at least ten feet tall. Her skin shimmered as if every cell was made of diamonds. In contrast, her dress is the boldest color of sapphire. The dress was knee-length with triangular-fringed ends. A shawl covered one of her shoulders, and both garments were bound at her waist by a diamond-studded belt. My eyes followed the trail of her exquisite beauty to her dark black hair that disappeared behind her shoulders. Upon her head, she wore a triple-banded gold crown with fourteen dangling Lemurian stones placed approximately two inches apart. When my eyes locked on her sapphire-colored eyes, I felt mine roll back into my head. A warm and gentle breeze flew through me, and I could feel her large hand take hold of me. A feeling of warm sand unde

[Someone’s POV]“She sure does not disappoint, does she,” an unknown woman’s voice said in the distance. The voice was like a silk thread being pulled through a needle's eye, weaving through the air with a hint of mischief and curiosity.Feeling weightless in my once physical self, as if my body had been stripped away and all that was left was my consciousness, my eyes struggled to open to see which side of the karma coin my soul landed in this time. A loud metal-on-stone sound reverberated in my mind, as light seeped in through my sight. The sound pulsed through my mind, it felt like sharp vibrations were shooting through my entire body, causing my muscles to tense and my bones to ache. With a sudden burst of force, my soul slid back into a physical body. The feeling was jarring, like being thrown into the world without warning. As I gasped for air, the pressure of the cold floor on my face brought me back to my senses.Unsure if anyone could hear me, I managed to get the words, “Wh

The portal shimmers and glows with an otherworldly light, illuminated by my mate's power. I stand mesmerized, unable to take my eyes off the scene unfolding before me.It wasn’t until Sam snapped at Damen and me through the mind link that I was fully drawn back to the present. “Is the spell wearing off for you both,” Sam asked. “I don’t feel any more effects from it, and the wolfsbane is almost out of my system as well,” I replied. “Great, I have already loosened the binds on my wrists and am working on my ankles now. Max, I know the silver is the worst for you, but can you and Dom manage enough strength to get free,” Sam inquired. My mind felt a jolt as Sam's message reached me through the mind link, causing a tingling sensation in my head. [Gia's POV]Staring into Kali’s eyes, I knew our fates were sealed. Kali's eyes were a deep, soulless black, like dark pits of coal. In them, I saw swirls of fiery red, reflecting the flames of destruction and death that burned within him. His grin was wicked and sadistic, revealing his true malicious intent.I did not falter or look away, as he marched straight towards me, with a grin that was twisted and malevolent, a clear sign of his sadistic joy.Our destinies seemed to align at this moment as if guided by the spark that had opened the portal between worlds. Every move he made exuded power and pure evil.Stopping roughly two feet away from me, Kali’s smile grew wider with a profound sense of inflated ego. “You have done well, my Queen.
