Chapter 14

As Jason hung up the phone, his face sour, Heather couldn't help but feel a gleeful sense of triumph from her little prank. She had successfully forced him into buying a pregnancy test.

Not long after, she emerged from the bathroom to find Jason leaning against the wall, waiting for her.

Pouting, Heather said, "It didn't show anything. I think I might be getting my period soon though, there was a little blood."

Jason showed no reaction—no relief, no disappointment. Heather figured that, aside from anything involving his first love, nothing else really seemed to matter to him. In his eyes, she was probably no more important than Chrishell, just another insignificant passerby.

His indifferent attitude inexplicably irritated her. She commanded, "I didn't bring any sanitary pads with me. Go to the store and get me some."

Jason's gaze darkened as he stared at her, it was not exactly friendly.
