Chapter five: Comeback

I've never felt uncertainty in my life like I felt now,all my ego had been thrown out of the window the moment I met Xavier,I was now completely lost didn't even know whether I wanted to be independent anymore.

There was something about him that made him look dangerous and intimidative ,I wasn't the type to be walked upon,but it felt different with him,there is something inside me that told me he wasn't the type to be messed with.

But I wasn't gonna give up my dream of being a working independent woman just because some testosterone intimidated me,no.I stepped out of the taxi clinging into my black trench coat gazing at the building,I heaved a sigh and paid the taxi driver before he left,I trudged towards the building with scurrying steps ,I flashed Celeste a fake smile before walking to the elevator,the devil must have been working 24 hours to torment me as I found Xavier on the elevator.

He threw me a fleeting glance before looking the opposite direction,I stood next to him feeling the tension brewing between us, my palms begin sweating and I felt like I've been standing there for eternity.

“Are you William Kay's daughter?”

Xavier suddenly said.

I glanced at him and gulped as he eyed me skeptically.

My tummy writhed in knots and I felt a pit forming inside,why did he ask,I thought he couldn't notice since I was trying to keep a low profile.

“why do you ask -sir”

I muttered nervously.

“Dont call me sir ,call me Xavier ”

“Okay ,Si-xavier ”

I mumbled sheepishly.

“You didn't answer my question”

He stated grimly.

“No am not,it's just a coincidence that I have same name as Sally Kay,I mean Sally Kay , daughter to William Kay ”

I stated nervously smiling,he hardened his face making my smile to fade.

“I thought so, how can you be,you are just a commoner ”

He said threwing me a withering glance.

The hell with this guy,who does he think he is,even if I wasn't the real Sally Kay or I was ,that didn't give him the ticket to treat a person like trash .

The call button dinged and I heaved an exasperated sigh which I didn't know I was holding, Xavier glared at me before he walked out,I strided to my office and removed my trench coat before slumping my back on the chair.

I knew as long as I remained working for him, I will surely have a hard time, working was more frustrating than I had anticipated,but am not the type to give up.I immediately started  working.

“Let me buy you lunch today ”

Sean the cafeteria chef stated while looking at me.The guy had been trying to court me ever since I started working here,we were beggining to be quite friendly with each other from the fact that I always come here for Xavier's coffee daily,so he was used to seeing my sad face.

“I will see ”

I smiled at him and he frowned .

“You always say that but you never see,it's as if you are blind ”

I chuckled at his words and he smiled.

“Seriously Sean today I'll see if I can get the time ”

I stated .

“you keep seeing ,it'll reach a time and the train will have already left ,yull loose a treasure,a handsome guy like me”

He stated smirking .

“Ohh come on Sean enough with the self praise,spare the girl your boasting ”

Cinthia stated walking towards us holding a tray full of dirty utensils.I threw her a knowing smile before gazing at Sean .

“You should just go Sally before you make the he tiger wait for his tea ,he hate being kept”

He stated as he continued doing what he was doing.

I took Xavier's tea to leave .

“Sally be careful around him,he mostly prey on his secretary and to me you are his type of prey”

Cinthia stated looking at me sadly.

“Noted”

I mumbled before walking out.

I knocked at Xavier's door before walking in,he was speaking on a phone and he paused when he saw me.I placed the cup on his desk before turning to leave.

“Sally,wait ”

He called out.I immediately stopped and turned to face him.

“Do you have a boyfriend?”

I asked her gazing at her brown eyes, this was going to be my fast move on her,I was expecting for her to melt at my question but she stared at me with a deadpan face.

“I think that question is unprofessional sir ,that's my personal life and non of your business sir”

She blurted with annoyance while glazing at me.

Ohh,she is playing tough?.

I love tough .

I stood from my seat and walked towards her in slow step while keeping my eyes on her,I could feel the tension between us and she moved uncomfortably.

I reached where she was and took my hand to her thigh lifting her skirt a bit up,she gasped while looking at me shocked,I smirked at her while throwing her a wicked smile.

“Sir, please stop ”

She said closing her eyes sharply .

“Do you mean stop or continue”

I smiled while bringing my face close to her and put my lips on hers kissing her.

I thought I felt electricity fizzling inside me and my heart began pounding faster before a sharp pain stung me on my main area ,I crouched down clinging to the place where it hurt the most.

She hard hitted me.

“Am not the type of bitches you are used to,if I'll work for you,you learn to respect me”

She blurted before slamming the door as she left.

Damn it.
