"My secretary told me that you were her high school friend. I didn't expect the world to be this narrow, Mr. Mendez.”

Jerrald smiled slightly out of politeness. But his eyes seemed reluctant to talk about it.

"Were you in the same class?"

Jerrald's eyes narrowed. He pretended to remember. Not long after, he opened his mouth. "I'm not sure. Maybe we were in the same class, but maybe not."

Jerrald stared at the beautiful woman his age, wide-eyed with surprise.

"You don't remember?" the middle-aged man asked curiously.

"When I was at school, I preferred to spend time alone."
