46. The Seconds of Mission End

Miss, your mission is only three days away. Mr. Addison has prepared a private jet for you. I will come to pick you up on that day.

"WHAT?" Feli squealed in surprise after finishing reading the message Eric had just sent. She unconsciously stood up from her seat. Her eyes continued to be fixed on the phone screen which still showed a message from Eric.

"What's wrong?"

Feli immediately realized that she was not alone in this room. She quickly turned off her phone, then smiled at the man who was currently stepping towards her.

"What happened?" the man asked again after reaching Feli. His face looked worried. Afraid that something had happened to his woman.

Feli shook her head. "N-nothing. I just saw something creepy."

"Like what?"

Feli blinked a few times as she saw her lover squinting for an explanation. What should she say?

"Can I see what you call creepy—"

"No need! I'm afraid you'll be surprised."

"I won't—"

"No. Don't. It's really creepy."

"What exactly did you see?"
