But this time, that was going to happen.

I slowly smiled, looking at him as if he were a stranger. "Zack, why do you still think I'm being unreasonable? Every decision I made was the result of careful consideration. I loved you before, so I was willing to bare my soul to you. Now that I no longer love you, you mean nothing to me. I hope Mr. Davis won't disturb my life again."

Zack could no longer maintain his calm demeanor. He stumbled back, his voice trembling.

"Anna, you're still angry, right? How could you not love me? I was wrong. My relationship with Sherry was just out of spite. It was my fault we got into a quarrel that time. Anna, I won't do it again. Let's remarry, okay?"

I sneered and didn't respond.

After a long pause, I took Simon's hand and smiled. "It's too late, Zack. I won't have any connection with you anymore."

After leaving the boutique, Simon and I wandered around some more.

In the past three years, I had never felt as relaxed as I did now.
