I let out a bitter smile; it seemed that Zack was not as considerate as the older, quality young man in front of me. I must have been blind back then.

Simon seemed to sense my emotions and casually asked, "Feeling down?"

I smiled and subtly changed the topic, "What do you think of the proposal, Mr. Jameson?"

"The proposal is good, but... I have an unusual request."

"Feel free to tel me."

"Would Ms. Wood be willing to spend an evening with me?"

I was a bit confused by his meaning. "Huh?"

Simon took me to the riverside, where there was a grand and romantic fireworks display. Various colors cut through the night, bursting in exquisite brilliance, then quietly fading away.

"When I was young, I wanted to watch fireworks like this with someone. I thought that when the fireworks reached their peak, I would confess my feelings to her,"he said all of a sudden.

I found it a bit amusing but still played along. "So, Mr. Jameson, did your confession succeed?"
