Camille's POV
"You are?" He asked, chuckling. "I knew you couldn't resist,"
I laughed along, hailing a cab. "Yeah well, I'm on my way. See you soon."
"Soon,” Gavriel repeated gruffly and ended the call.
I had to come up with an excuse for my Dad. I couldn't tell him I had more work. I didn't want him building resentment that Gavriel was 'overworking' me. I giggled at the thought. Oh, I was working alright. But half the time, the extra hours and trips were me trying to work Gavriel's cock in my pussy.
I could not tell Dad that.
I dialed his number, running through the available excuses I had in my head.
"Hey princess," Dad said in a very excited tone.
"Oooh, someone is in a good mood,"
"You could tell?" He laughed.
Camille's POV“We hit a roadblock last week, but it's going pretty well now, “ Dad spoke from the phone animatedly.I was on a video call with him. He had flown to Geneva this morning to smoothen out a few things with the convention organizers. It had been two weeks since his gamepad got approved and he was pretty excited about it. I made a mental note to ask Gav if we could go to the convention to support Dad. He would never expect it. I hadn't attended any of his conventions because I thought they were too nerdy. But now that I thought about it, I would be taking over the company and I ought to have an idea at least of what exactly went on at events like this.“Well done, Dad,” I cheered. I had arrived from work not quite long ago and I was exhausted. I had been on my feet for a good pa
Gavriel's POVI raised my hand to pound on the door one more time.“Sir,” one of Caldwell's security guards approached, a wary look on his face. He had let my car in through the gate because he knew me and because I had threatened to run it down when he said he wanted to ask Camille if she could let me in.“Is everything okay?”“Yes, it is,” I tried to keep my voice even. What the hell was that bloke doing with my woman? And it didn't help that Caldwell wasn't home dammit. I thought she hated his guts. Or at least disliked him enough. The door opened then and Camille opened the door with a timid smile on her face.“Hi Gav,”I arched my brow, “Where is he?”
Camille's POV“Sure thing Caldwell,”I stirred at the sound of that voice. And those words. What was going on?“No, everything is fine now,” Gavriel said. “Camille is fine.”My eyes flew open then. The room was dimly lit. The clock on my beside read 4:03 in the morning. I tried to move but I was spooned in by Gavriel. His chest was hot and pressed flat against my back. I could feel his heat on my skin despite the robe I had on.Wait a minute. I did but remember changing into a robe. Or climbing the stairs. I must have fallen asleep downstairs while playing games with Megan and Chad.Aww, that meant Gav had carried me up to my room. I reached up to stroke his neck when he spoke again.“I'll tell her to call you when she wakes. Yes.
Camille's POV“Sleeping beauty's finally awake,” Chad taunted me when I descended the stairs.“Careful with the stairs, Aurora,” Megan joined him in his taunt. They laughed, shared a high five and I frowned.“Since when did you two get all chummy with each other?”“Since you slept off on us while playing charades,” Megan said, giving me a pointed look. “You snored like a horse before Mr Donovan picked you up and took you to bed.”“You guys were still awake then?” I had been crazy exhausted. I wasn't surprised that I had fallen asleep. I glanced around the living room. There was no sign of Gavriel either.“He left,” I looked up at Megan to see the knowing look on her face. “But not without
Gavriel's POVI stared at Camille in disbelief."I'm sorry," She said very quickly, rising on her feet. I watched her walk round the desk towards me, her doe eyes pleading. "I thought it could be fun. I miss clubbing Gav,""What's there to miss?" I snapped, feeling angry that she would suggest canceling dinner so she could go with some people from nowhere- "Wait a fucking minute. Are you going with Norman? That kid?""He's not a kid," She defended."Exactly. I'll bet it's all a fucking excuse to get you to himself." I growled. The jackass had gone as far as starting a fan club in Camille's name. I knew he wanted her. Damn him.Fuck I didn't need this. Just how many men would I have to fend off to make sure she remained mine? I dragged a hand through my hair, t
Camille's POVThings had started well.I had texted Linda and Norman with the news that I really would be going clubbing with them. They sent the club address and Linda said everyone was going for a black theme so I had to wear a black dress. And I had been fine with that. Black dresses were my thing. I had a lot of them. When Dane dropped me off at home, I'd first spent a good thirty minutes in the bath. I didn't want any stress lines on my face or skin and with all the frowning at the computer screen that I had done today, I needed a nice warm bath.I texted Megan asking if she would like to come along but she refused saying something about having a deadline to meet. When I finally shoved on my dress, I knew there was no way Gav would say yes to it.It was a b
Gavriel's POVI pinned the piece of shit against the wall, driving my fist into his stomach repeatedly. I had arrived to see his dirty hands on Camille. On my woman.I always knew he was up to no good. I hadn't expected that he would have a death wish as well. The sight of Camille struggling to get out of his hands while he groped at her breasts was burned in my memory."How dare you!" I snarled."Hey man, calm down! Calm down!" Someone yelled, trying to pull Norman from my grip.I tightened my hold on him, ready to pummel the screaming fool to tiny bits when Camille wrapped her arms around me, sobbing against my back as the sound tore at my chest. I dropped Norman to the ground and turned to her, pulling her to my chest."Hey, it's okay. It's okay," I whispered, stroking her hair lightly. People still d
Camille's POV"Will you be okay?"Uncle Robert stood before the cabin door, staring at me with pity in his eyes.It was the same look most people had on their faces when they attended Dad's burial earlier today. I could imagine what they all thought in their heads. The poor kid just lost her father. She's an orphan now. Others attended with a rather snobbish look on their face. Robert had told me who they were.My father's business associates. They were investors in Dad's company. And I could imagine what went on in their heads. To them, I was the new head of the company. And I didn't exactly have experience or a good reputation to run a company. I was the wild puny daughter, who only knew how to spend my father's money and had no clue how hard he worked for it."I'll be fine," I mumbled
