Emily’s POV
Am I dead?…
I asked myself looking around hoping to find someone to ask what exactly was going on
As I turned to face the ground, I noticed I was barefooted and wondered why I had a different dress on
The place I was, it wasn't a place familiar
Everything around me loomed with light making it so hard to see
Nonetheless, I pushed my way through and it all felt like I was in a tunnel of light
I kept on walking not minding where the tunnel was leading to
I felt a bit scared but summoned up courage as I was all I had at that moment so I had to be strong
On getting to the end of the tunnel, the picture of what was in front, which had been blurry from the beginning of the tunnel became clear
It was a garden…
A garden I felt looked so familiar from the year before but had a few trees taken off currently
On entering, I saw how different the garden from last year to what it is now looked
Wondering what this meant
“Good morning Emily,” A lady said as she went back to doing her business
It was the female gardener in our chambers
For a moment I stood feeling so confused about why I was brought back to the garden
As I moved towards our huge building, I wondered what more the day had to offer
I walked to the doors and pushed them open closing my eyes
As I entered, I opened my eyes
“Where the hell have you been, young lady?” A voice came in
I turned to see who it was
It was my mother, who had her kitchen gloves probably coming out of the kitchen
I rushed to embrace her feeling so happy seeing her again
“I can see you are excited about tomorrow,” she said smiling trying to break herself free from my embrace
“What's happening tomorrow?” I asked feeling so curious
“Roman, your hand in marriage, remember?” she said making signals with her fingers for me to remember
“Marriage?” I asked still trying to gather the pieces of the puzzle of what was happening
As we spoke, I saw the maids bringing in new decor to the living room as the scene felt so familiar
I looked around for more evidence of what I suspected to be
After a few minutes, Dad walked in looking so happy
“My beautiful bride,” he said pulling me in for a hug
That was when it all made sense
The moon goddess had given me a second chance bringing me back to the year before
A day to the day Roman was to ask for my hand in marriage
I hugged my mother and father so tight they screamed
“I'm alive!!!” I yelled as I ran up the stairs feeling so happy and energetic
Everyone stared at me in confusion as they went on with their duties
I got to my room and I went through my closet to find clothes from the previous year all arranged one after the other
I smiled when I saw my favorite scarf I had lost on my way to Lily's house
And then I remembered
Lily!!!
I looked around for my cellphone as I went through my call log and messages seeing all the texts and calls from Lily
And Dorian
How stupid I was to have fallen for their tricks
But never again
I was granted another chance by the moon goddess so right now I'm one step ahead of them
And making things right was all I had in mind
After a few hours of lurking around my room, I got into the shower and let the cold water run through my skin
I closed my eyes remembering how cruel Lily was
Watching me lay in my pool of blood
I was shocked to have heard her call Dorian her mate and how they have been mates for a while now
One thing led to another, they went into a relationship without me knowing
I was so stupid not to have seen those flags
There were times they hung up without me, I felt so disgusted at once
On getting out of the shower, I walked to the study section of my room where I saw my collection of books and how neatly arranged they were
Like I hadn't read them in a while
And then I remembered how most of my time was taken by Lily and me hanging out all the time
Lily wasn't so much of a good influence but I liked how easy it was to relate things with her
Most especially issues concerning my relationship with Dorian
And now it all makes sense
I would never forgive myself if I ended up making the Same mistakes
I got dressed for the day as I remembered meeting up with Dorian that day when I was so blindly in love reassuring Dorian I was going to decline the marriage proposals
As I stared at my reflection in the mirror, my phone beeped
It was a text from Dorian…
The text read, “Where are you?”
I turned off my phone almost immediately after I got the text
They have had their way with me for just too long and now, it happens to be my turn to the whole bargain
I smiled at my reflection in the mirror as I prepared for tomorrow
Although, still remember the disaster I caused on that day
But this time it was going to be different
I accepted my fate of being mated to a Roman
Who was a fine young man, and happens to be the alpha of the red creek pack.
And was also known to be ruthless, cold, and dominant
Well, not on me anyway…
Not that I had any feeling of affection for him, but I was ready to take revenge on Dorian and Lily
And I was going to make them pay for what they did to me
I'm in charge now…
Roman's POV
“She’s a pretty young lady, not to worry you will like her,” the elder who had me summoned said as he gave me a tap on my shoulders
Being the alpha of the red creek pack has been from one task to the other
One of which was getting a bride to be mated to
This year, being my second year of becoming Alpha made the elders and the members curious about why I was without a mate or a bride
I guess the moon goddess had her timings concerning that
I stared at her photo given to me by the elders of my pack
She looked so innocent and yet young, I watched how long her hair was left to flow to the side of her face and her eyes had those sparkles in them
Her smile was everything
I thought about how long I had been the Alpha of the pack I was born into
And yet without a mate or a bride to call mine
The elders of the pack had arranged for a certain girl who was in her 17s to be my bride and mate
And who was I to detest
The ceremony was to be held tomorrow and I was so nervous than usual
I wasn't so much of a woman type of man
But as customs demanded, I had to get one for myself as soon as possible
Being that, the Alpha of her Father's pack had no daughter, I was left with no choice but to settle for the daughter of the beta
The day of the ceremony finally came and I felt so reluctant to even move from my bed
I got off the bed and I sat for seconds on deciding to take a shower
I thought about how different things were going to turn out to be having a woman around the house
Good or bad?... I asked myself
I was used to having them over for a night and paying them off
And now I'm to be stuck with one for the rest of my life
As I had the waters flow through my body I thought of calling off the meeting ceremony
But then again, thought about the disaster I would be causing if I do so
Or what about if she declines
Well I won't be at fault for that and it definitely would save me the stress of starting a family with someone I'm not in love with or have any feeling of attraction to
I looked into my reflection staring at the outfit I had on after several picks on which to wear
I turned around in search of my staff
A staff I had inherited from my dad a long time ago before he passed on
Leaving me to the care of the elders of my pack
On entering the car, I felt so nervous as fidgeted with the sleeves of my shirt trying to make myself feel comfortable amidst all that was happening
“Welcome” I heard the guard say bowing his head as we were ushered into the Palace from the gate
As I entered, I wondered why the building looked so magically tall and even more beautiful than the palace if the Alpha of their pack
Or was I in the wrong house?... I asked myself
To my surprise, harps and other musical instruments were played on our arrival in honor of our visit to their palace
I smiled when her father the beta approached me also with a smiling face as he held his hand out for a handshake
“Welcome son,” he said holding onto my hand as he smiled more
“This way please,” he said ushering us in
The living room had its decor color combination making the environment so beautiful and comfortable to relax in
I felt almost too comfortable as I sat
The ceremony soon started I tried so hard not to stutter as I gave my speech
I saw how happy her father and mother were all through the ceremony and wondered how bad I would make them feel by turning them down or calling off the ceremony
And then, she was ushered in
Emily!!!... Like her dad said
She wasn't just pretty in the photo but in reality, was prettier in person
I couldn't take my eyes off her when she climbed down the stairs
And as soon as she did I got a scent I had never gotten elsewhere before
I could even taste it
It was a combination of candy and my favorite fruits
They had her face covered as she came close and as soon as they had her vail opened
My wolf cried out
Mate!!!
Mate!!!
I couldn't stand the look I got from her
She was beautiful
One thing I still wasn't sure of and was still confused about what was happening was that for years now I have been in search of a mate
And now, the very First Lady I'm meant to marry turns out to be my mate
I clenched my fist when I tried suppressing my wolf from transforming
It was more like a gift or a curse I would say of being transformed the moment I can not control my wolf side
I bit my teeth so hard still holding them in and wished for the ceremony to be rounded up soon
The ceremony soon came to an end as we were both handed our bond bracelets
I held her hand for the first time as I had it placed on her wrist
I wondered why I felt so gentle with her
I couldn't understand the looks she gave when we stood right in front of each other
And how easy it was for her to look straight into my eyes when I stood in front of her
The scent I got earlier became stronger and stronger I could feel her inside
I could taste her…
What does this mean?...
Emily's POVAs I was ushered in by my father, I saw how he stared at meIt was like he had found a lost treasure and was ready to claim it will all cause Being that the Alpha of our pack had no daughter leaving my father the beta his only option for marriage I was seeing him here for the second time and still admired how handsome he looked As I got closer, I got a closer look at his dark blue eyes and brown ruffled hair He was just the perfect rival for Dorian I smiled when they had my veil removedI looked up at him, as we exchanged glancesI saw how nervous he felt staring at me, good thing I wasn't the only one feeling this nervous and trying to suppress itI could see him fighting over something else That made me chuckle seeing him this way, I held back the urge to speak to me as I wasn't allowed to yet until the end of the ceremony And when they finally popped the question of me accepting him or not without hesitating I accepted “Yes, I Emily James accept the proposal of
Dorian’s POVI was fuming so much the moment she had me thrown out of her Father's house She was to be married in few days time as I thought about talking her out of itBut instead I got thrown out of the house Somehow I was angry at the way things turned out to be not having her around anymore As much as I didn't want her for a mate, I wanted her for publicityGetting entangled with the daughter of the beta of our pack was one big goal I had set out to achieve a long time ago I wouldn’t deny that I was angry with all happening but at the moment Suddenly my phone started buzzing and I got a text message from Lily which said, “where are you, we need to talk”I wasn’t in the mood for any of her rants on letting me Emily go When I read the message I instantly knew she wanted to talk about me finally voicing out to the pack on getting mated to her a long time agoBut I didn’t want thatI wasn’t just letting Emily go just like that, well good thing she somehow declined Lily had onc
Emily povAs the wedding day dawned, I could feel the anticipation building within me. It was the day I had been dreaming about ever since I first laid eyes on Roman. The sun peeked through the curtains, casting a warm glow in the room where I was getting ready. My heart fluttered with a mix of excitement and nervousness.I glanced at myself in the mirror, adjusting my veil and smoothing down the delicate lace of my gown. My mother stood beside me, beaming with pride and happiness. Her eyes welled up with tears as she took in the sight of her daughter preparing to embark on this new chapter of her life."Emily, my dear, you look absolutely breathtaking," she said, her voice filled with love and admiration. Her hands trembled slightly as she reached out to brush a stray lock of hair behind my ear. "Today is the beginning of a beautiful journey for you and Roman."I smiled back at her, feeling an overwhelming sense of gratitude. "Thank you, Mom. I'm so glad you're here with me on this s
Emily povI woke up the next morning feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day. As sunlight streamed through the curtains, I stretched my arms and let out a contented sigh. With a smile on my face, I made my way to the bathroom to start my morning routine. As I stood in front of the mirror, I caught a glimpse of myself, slightly disheveled from sleep. I reached for my toothbrush and applied a generous amount of toothpaste. With rhythmic motions, I brushed away the remnants of yesterday's meals, savoring the minty freshness that enveloped my mouth.Feeling the need for a refreshing cleanse, I turned on the shower, allowing the sound of running water to fill the room. Stepping into the warm stream, I closed my eyes and let the droplets cascade over my body, washing away any lingering drowsiness. The sensation was invigorating, as if the water itself carried the promise of a new beginning. After a leisurely shower, I wrapped myself in a fluffy towel and stepped out into the cool air
Emily povI picked up my phone and dialed the number to summon the palace maid, Clara. Today, I longed for an adventure beyond the palace walls, a chance to immerse myself in the beauty of the surrounding park. Clara answered the call with her usual warmth, her voice resonating through the receiver."Clara, could you please come and join me for a stroll in the park?" I asked, my voice filled with excitement. I could almost hear her smile on the other end of the line as she replied, "Of course, Miss Emily. I'll be right there."Moments later, Clara arrived at my doorstep, her crisp uniform perfectly pressed. She greeted me with a friendly nod and a gleam in her eyes that mirrored my own eagerness. Together, we stepped outside, the grandeur of the palace fading behind us as we ventured into the world beyond. As we entered the park, a gentle breeze tousled my hair, carrying with it the scent of blooming flowers and freshly cut grass. The lush greenery stretched out before us, inviting us
Emily povAs the sun began its descent, casting a warm golden glow over the park, I knew it was time to return to the palace. The peacefulness of the surroundings clung to me, a sense of serenity that I carried with me as Clara and I made our way back.As we approached the grand entrance of the palace, the ornate doors swung open, revealing the opulent interior that awaited us. The marble floors gleamed under the soft light of crystal chandeliers, and the air carried a faint scent of luxury and history.Clara and I stepped into the foyer, our footsteps muffled by the plush carpeting. I turned to her, grateful for her company throughout the day. "Thank you, Clara, for accompanying me on this lovely adventure. It was truly a memorable experience."Clara smiled warmly, her eyes twinkling with appreciation. "The pleasure was mine, Miss Emily. I'm glad to have been a part of your day. If there's anything else you need, please don't hesitate to ask."With a nod of gratitude, I bid farewell
Emily povAs night descended upon the palace, a captivating stillness settled over the surroundings. The moon shone brightly in the sky, casting an ethereal glow that illuminated the lush gardens. It was in this enchanting moment that Roman, my beloved, had a vision for his park—a vision that called for a gathering of friends and acquaintances, a celebration of life and shared joy.Roman's enthusiasm was infectious, and as a natural leader, he wasted no time in bringing his vision to life. With his commanding presence and charisma, he rallied the palace staff, inviting them to join him in transforming the park into a place of merriment and revelry. The preparations began, and under Roman's guidance, the park underwent a metamorphosis. Strings of fairy lights adorned the trees, casting a warm, twinkling glow. Colorful lanterns were hung delicately, their vibrant hues adding an air of festivity to the night. Roman POVAs the morning sun streamed through the windows, casting a warm glow on the room, I turned to Emily, my beloved. The weariness etched on her face did not go unnoticed, and concern welled up within me. I couldn't help but express my worry."My love, how are you doing? I hope you're feeling well," I said, my voice filled with genuine concern. I observed her closely, taking in every detail of her tired demeanor.Emily met my gaze, her eyes reflecting a hint of exhaustion. She mustered a faint smile, reassuring me with her words. "No, my love, I'm not sick. I just feel tired."Her response didn't entirely alleviate my concerns. I couldn't help but wonder if there was more to her fatigue than she was letting on. Perhaps the festivities of the previous night had taken a toll on her energy reserves. With a gentle touch, I reached out to Emily, holding her hand in mine. "You know, my love, I noticed how weak you seemed this morning. It worries me to see you like this. Is there anyth
Emily's POVAs I awoke from a night's rest, the soft morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a gentle warmth on our bedroom. Beside me, our baby was cocooned in the crib, softly cooing. A smile graced my lips as I gazed at our precious little one, a testament to the love Roman and I had built together.Carefully, I reached down to lift our baby into my arms. The world was still and peaceful, a tranquil start to the day. As our child's eyes blinked open, I couldn't help but feel the immense love and responsibility that came with motherhood. My heart swelled with adoration as I looked down at this tiny, fragile life that we had brought into the world. The bond between us was unbreakable, a connection forged in love and nurtured with care. The journey of motherhood was both a challenge and a privilege, and I was determined to embrace every moment.Slowly, I rose from the bed, our baby cradled in my arms, and made my way to the kitchen. The scent of freshly brewed coffee waft

Roman and I often took walks here, embracing the tranquil beauty of nature amidst our responsibilities. On this particular morning, the sun's gentle rays painted the world in gold as we wandered through the park, hand in hand. The whispers of the leaves in the wind seemed to echo secrets only the trees knew.Roman's presence beside me was a comforting anchor. He, the formidable Alpha, carried the weight of leadership with unwavering strength. His dark hair, kissed by the sun, caught the light in a way that made me catch my breath. As we walked, we spoke about the pack's recent achievements and challenges. The park, with its magnificent trees and blooming flowers, seemed to offer a sanctuary for candid conversations. We had built our lives around these discussions, sharing our dreams and plans as we roamed the park's hidden paths."I'm proud of the pack's progre

The announcement of another addition to our family was met with celebration, laughter, and an overwhelming sense of unity. It was a testament to our unwavering bonds and a promise of the beautiful days to come.As the Alpha, I couldn't have been happier. The prospect of becoming a father once again was a gift I cherished deeply. To share this moment with my beloved Emily was a blessing beyond measure. We gathered under the open sky, a myriad of pack members and friends, each person with their own story and connection to our growing family. The atmosphere was brimming with positivity, as if the entire pack had embraced the notion of new life with open hearts and open arms.My gaze remained fixed on Emily, her smile radiant as she mingled with well-wishers. I couldn't help but feel a surge of pride, knowing that she would be the mo
Emily POV With the unity of our pack restored, every day was a testament to our strength and resilience. The damage caused by the previous turmoil was slowly but surely repaired, and our home began to regain its former splendor. Every morning, I woke up to the soothing sounds of nature outside our window. The park came back to life, and it was as if the trees whispered stories of our triumph to the skies above. I couldn't help but smile as I looked at Roman sleeping beside me, his chest rising and falling with each peaceful breath. We had endured so much together, and I knew that our bond had grown unbreakable. Roman's love and support were the pillars upon which I could always lean. It was in moments like these, watching him sleep, that I realized how fortunate I was to be the Luna of this extraordinary pack. One morning, Roman woke before me and, with a mischievous glint in his eye, decided to surprise me. He gently kissed my forehead and whispered, "Emily, wake up, my love." I
Roman POV Under the azure canopy of the park, a lush expanse that seemed to stretch on forever, our pack gathered. It was a day of celebration, a testament to the unity and strength that defined us. Families spread their picnic blankets beneath the shade of towering oaks, while children laughed and played. The scent of grilled food wafted through the air, carried by a gentle breeze. Our warriors stood sentinel, ensuring the safety of our gathering. As Emily and I entered the park, we were greeted with cheers and smiles. The bond we shared with our pack was undeniable, and moments like this filled us with profound gratitude. The center of the park was transformed into a makeshift stage, adorned with colorful banners and flowers. It was here that we stood, surrounded by our pack members who looked upon us with respect and affection. Emily took the microphone, her eyes sparkling with warmth and gratitude. "Today, we come together not only as a pack but as a family. We celebrate our u
Roman POV As we concluded our conversation, Emily and I decided to have our meal in the lush gardens that surrounded the palace. The warm sun bathed us in a gentle glow, and the soft rustling of leaves added a soothing soundtrack to our meal. We settled at a pristine white tablecloth spread with a delectable array of dishes prepared by the palace chefs. The scent of freshly grilled vegetables mixed with the savory aroma of roasted meats. Platters of colorful salads and fruits added vibrancy to the table. My heart swelled with contentment as I watched Emily, her radiant smile more brilliant than the sunlight dappling through the leaves. Her happiness was my greatest reward, and I cherished every moment we spent together. Emily reached for a fork and playfully teased me. "Roman, you're staring again. Is the food that enticing, or is it just your lovely Luna?" I chuckled, unable to deny the truth in her words. "I'm afraid it's a combination of both, my love. This meal is a feast for
Emily POVThe tension in the pack house had reached its breaking point. For days, I had felt the growing unease, the sense of a storm brewing on the horizon. I knew it was coming, but nothing could have prepared me for the confrontation that would change everything.Lucy had grown bolder with each passing day, testing the boundaries of what was acceptable in our pack. Her constant presence, her attempts to get close to Roman, had driven a wedge between us. I couldn't bear it any longer. One morning, I decided I'd had enough. It was time to confront Lucy, to make her understand that Roman was mine, heart and soul. I knew this wouldn't be an easy conversation, but it was necessary.I found Lucy in the garden, seemingly lost in her own thoughts. She looked up as I approached, a sly smile on her face. It was a smile that infuriated me, knowing the intentions behind it."Lucy," I began, my voice steady but filled with authority. "We need to talk."She raised an eyebrow, feigning innocence.
Roman POVMorning light filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow on our room. The incident with Lucy last night had left me feeling uneasy. I knew that my love for Emily was unwavering, but Lucy's persistence was unsettling. I needed to discuss this with my beloved Luna, to let her know how serious the situation had become.I gently shifted in bed, careful not to wake Emily. Her peaceful form beside me, her hand resting protectively over her womb, was a sight that filled my heart with both love and concern. The twins growing within her were a testament to our love and the strength of our pack. I couldn't allow anything to jeopardize that.Silently, I slipped out of bed and made my way to our private bathroom. As I turned on the tap, the sound of running water mixed with the soft chirping of birds outside. I splashed my face with cold water, hoping it would help clear my thoughts. The reflection in the mirror revealed the weight of responsibility etched in my eyes. After taki
Lucy POVRoman was unwavering, and I couldn't understand why he wouldn't give in to my advances. It had been a long time since I had left the pack, only to return with a burning desire to win the Alpha's heart. From my perspective, it was clear that Roman was the Alpha, strong and powerful, and he was meant to be mine. His commitment to Emily was something I just couldn't fathom. It infuriated me, and I was determined to change his mind.I would often visit Roman's room when I knew he'd be alone, knocking gently as though I was his beloved partner. I'd enter and create an illusion of intimacy, hoping someone would witness us and question the strength of his relationship with Emily. With a wicked smile, I'd trail my fingers along Roman's arm, trying to invoke a reaction from him. But he remained steadfast and focused on his own activities, making my efforts seem futile. My motives were clear. I believed that if I could just create the façade of a romance with Roman, it might break his
