Emily's POV
As I was ushered in by my father, I saw how he stared at me
It was like he had found a lost treasure and was ready to claim it will all cause
Being that the Alpha of our pack had no daughter leaving my father the beta his only option for marriage
I was seeing him here for the second time and still admired how handsome he looked
As I got closer, I got a closer look at his dark blue eyes and brown ruffled hair
He was just the perfect rival for Dorian
I smiled when they had my veil removed
I looked up at him, as we exchanged glances
I saw how nervous he felt staring at me, good thing I wasn't the only one feeling this nervous and trying to suppress it
I could see him fighting over something else
That made me chuckle seeing him this way, I held back the urge to speak to me as I wasn't allowed to yet until the end of the ceremony
And when they finally popped the question of me accepting him or not without hesitating I accepted
“Yes, I Emily James accept the proposal of Alpha Roman,” I said smiling and looking straight into his eyes
And at that moment, the scene of Dorian smiling down at me In my pool of blood resurfaced in my mind as I became so angry
Not realizing I was giving Roman worried glances making him wonder what had been playing in my head
Soon rather than later, the ceremony was over as I exhaled on getting over accepting a proposal I wasn't interested in
And soon the guests made their way out one after the other all in wait for the big day
My big day actually
On getting to my room, I lay on my bed as I had my eyes closed from the day’s stress
When I heard a knock on the door
“Who's there?” I asked still feeling scared from all that happened with Dorian, Lily, and I
So I became cautious about who entered my room
“It's me” The voice sounded so familiar
It was Dorian…
I gulped hard as I took a deep breath
I was scared of what he was here for
“C-come in,” I said trying to hide how nervous I was seeing him here
“Did I wake you up?” he said as he walked in and headed for my bed
Me being so scared and nervous got up having my back to the headrest of my bed without uncovering the sheets
“No, no!! not at all” I said trying hard not to show how scared I was having him in my room
As we spoke, I looked at how fake he sounded when he spoke
I held back myself when I had the urge of killing him
“I just woke up and wasn't expecting anyone coming around,” I said
I saw how confused he looked hearing me say that
“What do you mean anyone? I have been calling and texting since last and you seem not to be responding to any” he said wanting to hold my hand
I pulled myself away holding back the anger I had built inside
“What's wrong Emily?” he asked holding onto my cheeks
“N-nothing” I stuttered faking a smile
“If you say so,” he said
“Do you remember we were supposed to meet up right after your ceremony?” he added
For a moment, I remembered I had met up with him from my past life reassuring him over me declining the request of Roman
But this time, it was different as I was so bent on getting my revenge on every one of them
“Oh yes, I was so exhausted from all the activities and felt the need to rest a bit” I lied
“Our flight to Paris is at seven tomorrow remember?” he said looking straight into my eyes
The morning after the Proposal ceremony, Dorian had taken me far away from my mother and father after I had turned down the hands of my suitor Roman
And we were in Paris for a day or two until the chaos back home had subsided
I looked at him as I played with my fingers
“What!” he asked feeling so worried
Fake!!!!
“I didn't decline his Proposal Dorian” I finally voiced out as I held onto the sheets so tight knowing what was coming afterward
“What do you mean you didn't decline his Proposal?” he said looking angrier than the moment he walked in
“I said Yes Dorian” I yelled looking away and wishing for him to leave
“What about us?” he said holding onto my arms and pulling me In for a kiss
Lies and all pretense!!!
I pushed him away as I resisted him kissing me
“What's happening?” he asked curiously
My eyes widened when I saw him in tears
Fake tears…
As we spoke, another tap came on the door
“Come in” I ordered
It was Lily
As she entered, I almost immediately had the urge to send them both out
I felt so scared of them both together in my room all alone
“Why haven't you been returning my calls girl?” she asked as she sat right next to me on my bed
Pictures of the innocent young girl I bumped into at the playground soon resurfaced in my mind
She isn't that girl anymore, I reminded myself
“I forgot, I'm sorry,” I said
She noticed how uneasy I was from the look I had on my face
“Are you okay?” she asked holding onto my hand
Without any response, I shook my head turning away from them
Seeing them both here kept on bringing a side in me I have never experienced as I tried holding back my wolf
“So how did it go?” she asked like she was expecting an answer I knew of already
“She didn't decline his request,” Dorian said with his head lowered to the ground
“Huh?!” she asked tilting her head towards Dorian
I watched how much strangers acted in front of me
“But why? She asked
“Please I would like some time alone,” I said to both of them
And this time, I didn't care about any of them being hurt over what I said
They both looked at me in astonishment as I looked away closing my eyes
And just like I wanted, they both left as they had the door closed behind them
As they left, I heard them murmuring to themselves like they were arguing over something
I smiled when I finally had it all in control
Unlike Lily coming in to convince me not to accept, it was her now angry over me not declining the proposal of Roman
Bunch of confused wolves
As soon as they were completely out of sight, I went out for a walk
Just as I assumed moments of me being dead and taken away from a palace I was born into
When I came out of the room there was no sign of my mother and father as the palace looked empty and void of people
As I walked around the whole living room remembered how different the whole living room looked from what it is now
For a few seconds, I lightly rubbed the back of my head as I thought of what to do about Dorian and Lily
I was reluctant at first, still reeling from the betrayal of those I had once trusted.
But as I thought about it more,
I realized that this was the perfect opportunity to get my revenge.
And of course, accepting the proposal of my newfound mate and soon-to-be husband, Roman, taking down Dorian and Lily once and for all.
Which I already did…
They had me betrayed, using my love for Dorian against me and when they had the chance, they had me killed
But not on my watch anymore
Seeing Roman for the second time made things easy getting him to like me
He was a ruthless wolf so definitely would like his wolf fierce and without fear
And he would be instrumental in my plans for revenge.
He was tall and imposing, with piercing blue eyes and a deep voice.
I was immediately drawn to him at seeing him this time
but I knew that our relationship was purely strategic -
At least, for now…
As the days turned into weeks, and the weeks turned into months, the preparations for the wedding drew near as everyone went on with one duty or the other
A date had been announced by my father who is so much excitement read out his speech for the whole pack to hear
I looked to my mother who stood beside him as he read through the lines
All I cared about was finally getting married to Roman for Dorian to see and then I would strike
Soon the meeting was over and we all went back to our various home
I had caught glimpse of Dorian in the crowd about a while ago as I wondered why he stood to hear amidst all that was happening
If there's anything I should do I have to be fast about it… I thought to myself
I went to the kitchen counter to get a glass of water when I bumped into Lily
I had gotten the scent of her perfume about a while ago when she entered
But I just ignored it as I carried on with the glass of water
Still a bit shaky and yet brave
I had cut all meeting arrangements with her lying to have been busy with preparation for the wedding
She wasn't so much of a best friend anymore but a rival
I saw how she watched me without a word for a while
Getting uncomfortable with the way things were turning out to be I cleared my throat
“You know when you stare for too long it gives one the creep,” I said as I had my head turned towards
And of course, I saw how shocked she looked when I spoke
“Wait don't tell me you saw me come in a while ago,” she said faking a smile
“You will miss out on a man if you keep doing that,” I said sipping my glass of water not minding if she had come into the kitchen right before me
“I don't need a man,” she said playing with her hair
Of course, she doesn't definitely because she's mates with Dorian
I wasn't mad at that fact but that they kept it from me for so long without letting me know
I laughed when she spoke, she must have wondered what exactly I was laughing about
Finally completing the journey of letting them both, I called in Dorian moments after I had Lily dismissed
“Thanks for coming,” I said as I tossed around the chair in my room
I saw how angry he was over me not reaching out to him for days
“It's Over!!” I finally voiced out
Dorian couldn't believe what he just heard as he had his head raised
“What's going on?” he asked
I wondered why it is they were bent on getting rid of me completely even right after I had accepted the proposal from Roman
Wasn't that the plan?
Get me to decline and finally get me killed
So why are they all acting up this way
I sometimes try to understand how nobody is perfect enough to see much of an actor he was when around me
Looking straight into his eyes once again
I voiced out those words
It's Over!!!
“Please leave,” I said pointing towards the door to be specific about what I meant
Dorian was shocked at what was happening as he stood in front of me
“What's happened to you?” he asked holding onto my face and pulling me in for a kiss
Feeling so disgusted, I pushed him so hard that he fell to the ground
Leave!!!
Dorian’s POVI was fuming so much the moment she had me thrown out of her Father's house She was to be married in few days time as I thought about talking her out of itBut instead I got thrown out of the house Somehow I was angry at the way things turned out to be not having her around anymore As much as I didn't want her for a mate, I wanted her for publicityGetting entangled with the daughter of the beta of our pack was one big goal I had set out to achieve a long time ago I wouldn’t deny that I was angry with all happening but at the moment Suddenly my phone started buzzing and I got a text message from Lily which said, “where are you, we need to talk”I wasn’t in the mood for any of her rants on letting me Emily go When I read the message I instantly knew she wanted to talk about me finally voicing out to the pack on getting mated to her a long time agoBut I didn’t want thatI wasn’t just letting Emily go just like that, well good thing she somehow declined Lily had onc
Emily povAs the wedding day dawned, I could feel the anticipation building within me. It was the day I had been dreaming about ever since I first laid eyes on Roman. The sun peeked through the curtains, casting a warm glow in the room where I was getting ready. My heart fluttered with a mix of excitement and nervousness.I glanced at myself in the mirror, adjusting my veil and smoothing down the delicate lace of my gown. My mother stood beside me, beaming with pride and happiness. Her eyes welled up with tears as she took in the sight of her daughter preparing to embark on this new chapter of her life."Emily, my dear, you look absolutely breathtaking," she said, her voice filled with love and admiration. Her hands trembled slightly as she reached out to brush a stray lock of hair behind my ear. "Today is the beginning of a beautiful journey for you and Roman."I smiled back at her, feeling an overwhelming sense of gratitude. "Thank you, Mom. I'm so glad you're here with me on this s

With a smile on my face, I made my way to the bathroom to start my morning routine. As I stood in front of the mirror, I caught a glimpse of myself, slightly disheveled from sleep. I reached for my toothbrush and applied a generous amount of toothpaste. With rhythmic motions, I brushed away the remnants of yesterday's meals, savoring the minty freshness that enveloped my mouth.Feeling the need for a refreshing cleanse, I turned on the shower, allowing the sound of running water to fill the room. Stepping into the warm stream, I closed my eyes and let the droplets cascade over my body, washing away any lingering drowsiness. The sensation was invigorating, as if the water itself carried the promise of a new beginning. After a leisurely shower, I wrapped myself in a fluffy towel and stepped out into the cool air
Emily povI picked up my phone and dialed the number to summon the palace maid, Clara. Today, I longed for an adventure beyond the palace walls, a chance to immerse myself in the beauty of the surrounding park. Clara answered the call with her usual warmth, her voice resonating through the receiver."Clara, could you please come and join me for a stroll in the park?" I asked, my voice filled with excitement. I could almost hear her smile on the other end of the line as she replied, "Of course, Miss Emily. I'll be right there."Moments later, Clara arrived at my doorstep, her crisp uniform perfectly pressed. She greeted me with a friendly nod and a gleam in her eyes that mirrored my own eagerness. Together, we stepped outside, the grandeur of the palace fading behind us as we ventured into the world beyond. As we entered the park, a gentle breeze tousled my hair, carrying with it the scent of blooming flowers and freshly cut grass. The lush greenery stretched out before us, inviting us

The peacefulness of the surroundings clung to me, a sense of serenity that I carried with me as Clara and I made our way back.As we approached the grand entrance of the palace, the ornate doors swung open, revealing the opulent interior that awaited us. The marble floors gleamed under the soft light of crystal chandeliers, and the air carried a faint scent of luxury and history.Clara and I stepped into the foyer, our footsteps muffled by the plush carpeting. I turned to her, grateful for her company throughout the day. "Thank you, Clara, for accompanying me on this lovely adventure. It was truly a memorable experience."Clara smiled warmly, her eyes twinkling with appreciation. "The pleasure was mine, Miss Emily. I'm glad to have been a part of your day. Emily povAs night descended upon the palace, a captivating stillness settled over the surroundings. The moon shone brightly in the sky, casting an ethereal glow that illuminated the lush gardens. It was in this enchanting moment that Roman, my beloved, had a vision for his park—a vision that called for a gathering of friends and acquaintances, a celebration of life and shared joy.Roman's enthusiasm was infectious, and as a natural leader, he wasted no time in bringing his vision to life. With his commanding presence and charisma, he rallied the palace staff, inviting them to join him in transforming the park into a place of merriment and revelry. The preparations began, and under Roman's guidance, the park underwent a metamorphosis. Roman POVAs the morning sun streamed through the windows, casting a warm glow on the room, I turned to Emily, my beloved. The weariness etched on her face did not go unnoticed, and concern welled up within me. I couldn't help but express my worry."My love, how are you doing? I hope you're feeling well," I said, my voice filled with genuine concern. I observed her closely, taking in every detail of her tired demeanor.Emily met my gaze, her eyes reflecting a hint of exhaustion. She mustered a faint smile, reassuring me with her words. "No, my love, I'm not sick. I just feel tired."Her response didn't entirely alleviate my concerns. I couldn't help but wonder if there was more to her fatigue than she was letting on. Perhaps the festivities of the previous night had taken a toll on her energy reserves. With a gentle touch, I reached out to Emily, holding her hand in mine. "You know, my love, I noticed how weak you seemed this morning. It worries me to see you like this. Is there anyth

Emily POV With the unity of our pack restored, every day was a testament to our strength and resilience. The damage caused by the previous turmoil was slowly but surely repaired, and our home began to regain its former splendor. Every morning, I woke up to the soothing sounds of nature outside our window. The park came back to life, and it was as if the trees whispered stories of our triumph to the skies above. I couldn't help but smile as I looked at Roman sleeping beside me, his chest rising and falling with each peaceful breath. We had endured so much together, and I knew that our bond had grown unbreakable. Roman's love and support were the pillars upon which I could always lean. It was in moments like these, watching him sleep, that I realized how fortunate I was to be the Luna of this extraordinary pack. One morning, Roman woke before me and, with a mischievous glint in his eye, decided to surprise me. He gently kissed my forehead and whispered, "Emily, wake up, my love." I
Roman POV Under the azure canopy of the park, a lush expanse that seemed to stretch on forever, our pack gathered. It was a day of celebration, a testament to the unity and strength that defined us. Families spread their picnic blankets beneath the shade of towering oaks, while children laughed and played. The scent of grilled food wafted through the air, carried by a gentle breeze. Our warriors stood sentinel, ensuring the safety of our gathering. As Emily and I entered the park, we were greeted with cheers and smiles. The bond we shared with our pack was undeniable, and moments like this filled us with profound gratitude. The center of the park was transformed into a makeshift stage, adorned with colorful banners and flowers. It was here that we stood, surrounded by our pack members who looked upon us with respect and affection. Emily took the microphone, her eyes sparkling with warmth and gratitude. "Today, we come together not only as a pack but as a family. We celebrate our u
Roman POV As we concluded our conversation, Emily and I decided to have our meal in the lush gardens that surrounded the palace. The warm sun bathed us in a gentle glow, and the soft rustling of leaves added a soothing soundtrack to our meal. We settled at a pristine white tablecloth spread with a delectable array of dishes prepared by the palace chefs. The scent of freshly grilled vegetables mixed with the savory aroma of roasted meats. Platters of colorful salads and fruits added vibrancy to the table. My heart swelled with contentment as I watched Emily, her radiant smile more brilliant than the sunlight dappling through the leaves. Her happiness was my greatest reward, and I cherished every moment we spent together. Emily reached for a fork and playfully teased me. "Roman, you're staring again. Is the food that enticing, or is it just your lovely Luna?" I chuckled, unable to deny the truth in her words. "I'm afraid it's a combination of both, my love. This meal is a feast for
Emily POVThe tension in the pack house had reached its breaking point. For days, I had felt the growing unease, the sense of a storm brewing on the horizon. I knew it was coming, but nothing could have prepared me for the confrontation that would change everything.Lucy had grown bolder with each passing day, testing the boundaries of what was acceptable in our pack. Her constant presence, her attempts to get close to Roman, had driven a wedge between us. I couldn't bear it any longer. One morning, I decided I'd had enough. It was time to confront Lucy, to make her understand that Roman was mine, heart and soul. I knew this wouldn't be an easy conversation, but it was necessary.I found Lucy in the garden, seemingly lost in her own thoughts. She looked up as I approached, a sly smile on her face. It was a smile that infuriated me, knowing the intentions behind it."Lucy," I began, my voice steady but filled with authority. "We need to talk."She raised an eyebrow, feigning innocence.
Roman POVMorning light filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow on our room. The incident with Lucy last night had left me feeling uneasy. I knew that my love for Emily was unwavering, but Lucy's persistence was unsettling. I needed to discuss this with my beloved Luna, to let her know how serious the situation had become.I gently shifted in bed, careful not to wake Emily. Her peaceful form beside me, her hand resting protectively over her womb, was a sight that filled my heart with both love and concern. The twins growing within her were a testament to our love and the strength of our pack. I couldn't allow anything to jeopardize that.Silently, I slipped out of bed and made my way to our private bathroom. As I turned on the tap, the sound of running water mixed with the soft chirping of birds outside. I splashed my face with cold water, hoping it would help clear my thoughts. The reflection in the mirror revealed the weight of responsibility etched in my eyes. After taki
Lucy POVRoman was unwavering, and I couldn't understand why he wouldn't give in to my advances. It had been a long time since I had left the pack, only to return with a burning desire to win the Alpha's heart. From my perspective, it was clear that Roman was the Alpha, strong and powerful, and he was meant to be mine. His commitment to Emily was something I just couldn't fathom. It infuriated me, and I was determined to change his mind.I would often visit Roman's room when I knew he'd be alone, knocking gently as though I was his beloved partner. I'd enter and create an illusion of intimacy, hoping someone would witness us and question the strength of his relationship with Emily. With a wicked smile, I'd trail my fingers along Roman's arm, trying to invoke a reaction from him. But he remained steadfast and focused on his own activities, making my efforts seem futile. My motives were clear. I believed that if I could just create the façade of a romance with Roman, it might break his
