A/N// So you’ve met the beast…he reminds me of a certain someone! And do you think Verya's father knew that those faes weren't actually all dead?
“Are yo~” He stumbled back holding onto his chest. “My session is over…this is the longest I can keep my control over this body. It’s too weak…I have to go…”The black in his eyes cleared to white and Verya caught Sathe’s body before he could fall. He was out cold, a log against her shoulder…Sighing, she struggled to get him on her back, not because he was heavy, but because it was hard to relocate a limp body. She managed, but that didn’t stop her from frowning as she carried on deeper into the woods. His body was putting pressure on her injured shoulder, she wouldn’t be able to get far like this, but she had to try. Jake would be suspicious if he found her with a naked Sathe covered in fae blood. She had to find them water where they both could wash what was supposed to be a secret off of them. However, even with the determination, she didn’t get far enough, she had to stop when the pain got too much…and still, she had to change forms in order to keep Sathe warm when the evening
Sathe woke up wrapped in Verya’s silver fur as well as the redolence of her scent. It was comforting, after spending two days away from her, waking up in her scent was a privilege to him.But regardless of that, he had to leave again…He sat up, turning to stare at her. It was dark out, and the cold breeze swept across his bare skin like hands: harsh and cold, but despite being in her wolf form, Verya seemed to be suffering from it more than him.She was shaking, and even in her sleep, her teeth were chattering. He didn’t think she was fine, she didn’t at all look fine. His hand reluctantly reached for her, but he stopped before he could touch her. He had been thinking of using this opportunity to get away without her knowing, but if he woke her up, he’d lose it, wouldn’t he? She’d stop him, he knew, only a couple of words from her could persuade him.But how could he leave when she was like this?Sighing, he shook her awake. “Verya, are you okay?”Verya’s hazel eyes fluttered open, s
Sathe’s heartbeat froze when the fluttering of wings drifted across his ears. They were closer, just above them. He took a chance, looking back at the creature that stalked the sky and he wasn’t wrong, it was a fae… ‘Help…’ he called out to his self-consciousness. ‘Help me…please…’ The beast within him responded almost immediately, it was as if he had been waiting to be called. ‘Pathetic…’ Sathe closed his eyes as his control slowly slipped from his grasp. He could feel as his eyes changed colour, and feel as fur covered his arms. His claws came forth next, unintentionally sinking into Verya’s thighs. “Owe…Sathe…what’s tha…?” She looked down at his arm, eyes widening when she saw what was happening. “N-No…Sathe you can~” “Verya!” Both Sathe and Verya turned to stare at the creature who called out. It landed behind them, and Sathe growled as he turned around to look at it. It was a fae, yes, but it was a child. She stepped back, holding her hands up in defence. “Jake sent me…he tol
_ ~It was a hunt for blood, but the hunt instead ended with love~ _ Every two hundred years comes a beast in the form of a man. Its mission is one of destruction, no love, no peace, no matter how much he tries to restrain. You see, there's a side of him, a deadly side, a beast. It travels with wings like that of the devil, its eyes are as black as night, and on two feet it walks, but on four it runs when it's time to hunt. It's a werewolf the myths say, but how can a werewolf be born with wings as sharp as shards, wings that can slice through its prey and feet with nails longer than the city's tallest building? Surely not an ordinary one, right? Then what to call it? The mythical, wing having beast of death? Perhaps so, but no matter how scary its name became, Verya was determined she'd kill it in this century. She was born with the blood of her father; the blood of an alpha, and though many did not, and still don't believe in her, she'd prove that she's worthy of her alpha
_~Fear scorched their very beings, eyes big and red upon seeing something so unreal. It was so dangerous, something that not even shackles could conceal…it was here to take their lives as though with the devil it had made a deal.~_The forest was dark and silent, but with hazel eyes as bright as the moon, Verya could see her path.Nothing went unnoticed to her, not even the sight of a tiny thorn. The breeze felt cool against her skin, whistling by the leaves as it passed. The grass beneath her feet sunk with her every step and under the full moon were beautiful fireflies that drifted slowly along the wind. The night was beautiful, more so than the day. The silence and the darkness always calmed her desperate heart and soothe her wandering soul. But tonight, her heart was erratic, the pace of it was far faster in velocity and far louder in frequency. She was nervous, she hadn’t fought anything but ferals and rogues, and yet she was going out to hunt something even more dangerous.Wha
_~Blood tainted the floors of the earth, but her courage wasn’t the slightest bit hurt.~_She ran fast on her feet, watching as the people ran towards the direction she was coming from.A sum of five of the alpha’s who came were right behind her, ~Simon included~ running towards the danger instead of from it, but the rest were too scared to even move. Why come if they didn’t have any courage to fight?Despicable, they all were and yet they called themselves alphas.A bloodcurdling roar echoed from in front and a shiver wracked down Verya’s spine as she drew for her swords. There was no mistaking it, this was the beast, and it was thirsty, thirsty for blood. She could hear flopping sounds and she knew instantly that it came from its wings. She regretted leaving in a hurry now because she left her bag, and her arrows and her bow were right inside of it.F*ck!“The beast! It’s here! It’s here!”The words were screamed by a running man who didn’t make it much further. He was taken down,
_~How can a lost ever become a victory?~_How did this happen...? The beast, the same one she had come to kill was her mate. She didn’t get it, she didn’t understand...how could the beast be her mate? And how could it be an omega in human form?Omegas could not withstand the power the beast had according to the elders, so...what was this now?Was she mistaken? No, she couldn’t have been, she saw the full transformation, the beast had turned into a man, this man...Should she...should she kill him?If she did, then she’d really get to prove herself to father, but she would be left without her true mate for the rest of her life...would she be able to live like that? But even if she couldn’t, how would she ever love a beast?Verya lifted her gun, pointing it at him. He was dangerous, he’d probably try to kill her when he woke up, she had to kill him.Her finger pressed lightly against the trigger but stopped when the omega in front of her groaned. He reached for his injured arm, the on
_~Lust awakened from the dust, blurring the vision of its preys and bringing them nothing but pleasurable days~_“I’m...I don’t know...” Sathe looked down when her arm caged him against the tree.“Is it because of me?”“Y-Yes...”“Then doesn’t that mean I should take responsibility...hmm?” Her index finger ran along his naked chest and down his flat ab-less stomach. “Answer...”“N...yes.”“Look at me, Sathe...”Sathe slowly lifted his head, facing her. “Yes...?”“Do you want me to take care of it or not?”“I...I do...”“Then move your hands. my little monster.”Sathe’s movements were hesitant, but he listened and by his sides his hands now laid. His eyes were so caught up in her hazel ones. They were beautiful, she was beautiful. He’d never have thought that someone as useless as him could ever get a mate that looked like this. Her black hair was so tall and beautiful and that smirk on her plump lips was doing something to him. There was this sensation running through his body, an i

He raised his head to look at her, eyes still completely black; without the whites. “If that’s what you’re worried about, I won’t…I’ve never had a mate before, this life is way more privileged than the others. But…”Verya knitted her eyebrows curious as to what the vile creature had to say next. “B-But?” “You’re disappointed in me, aren’t you? I could see it in your eyes…you were angry. But why? I did it for you…you shouldn’t be angry…you should be happy.” “Happy that you’re killing innocent people?” “No…happy that I’m doing it to protect you.” He hung his head low. “Ruffle my hair…tell me I did good.” Verya glared at the top of his head, the anxiousness had now melted into nothing, and her fear was now dead. “Are you kidding me right now?” “I’m not…I really did all of this for you…I deserve to be praised. I feel weird, I don’t like the disappointment that I saw in your eyes, I don’t like the anger or the hate. I’ve never had a mate before, so I want to be reassured, I want to co
Her glossy eyes drifted up, meeting the horrendous sight of a creature she didn’t wish to see. Its eyes were black, all the natural whites eradicated and taken over. Its red fur was soaked in blood giving it a stench that made it seem a lot more dangerous than it probably was… It had no humanity in those eyes…it seemed lost, only remembering how to kill and it was doing just that. Every arrow that came at it was proven to be of no good, even when they pierced the creature it didn’t cry out in pain…instead it effortlessly pushed them back out. Did it perhaps get stronger? Was its healing ability almost immediate now? Verya shook her head, it wasn’t the time to assess its strength, she had to stop Jake. Her eyes shifted back down, spotting Jake who had already transformed into his wolf form. He looked tiny when compared to the beast, but in truth, his wolf was just as big as hers. The beast truly was a giant, perhaps that’s why so many different supernatural beings had to join forces
Verya had never been one to look forward to a long walk, and this time it was no different. The fae had said it was close, but this was by far the furthest she’d ever walked on two legs with a destination in mind. She wanted to forfeit, to give it all up, but she had to remind herself that it was all for a good cause. ‘For Sathe…’ She thought, groaning as she took a look at the long way ahead. Why was Sathe doing this to her? No, the real question was ‘why was she doing this to herself?’ Sathe didn’t ask her to hunt him down, she had chosen this path singlehandedly, but it was so f*cking hard to see it through. God dammit! “Are we even close yet?” She was ashamed of herself, the fact that her mate ran away from her had her pride dirt low, and not truly knowing the real reason why made it worst. All she could do was come up with assumptions... He left because he was scared... He left because of her father... He left because he felt self-conscious Or the worst assumption of the
As the fae said, the cave wasn’t far, it was at the very bottom of the mountain, dark and quiet. Jake was the first to step inside and Verya followed him hesitantly, leaving Aron and Ethan behind.Inside was almost beyond her werewolf eyes, she could barely see anything. There were just rocks, rocks and dirt. “You think she’s here?”“I know she is…she’s scared…she wouldn’t come out. I smell her too.”Verya nodded, she smelled something too, the stench of a creature she didn’t really like, but despite that, it was pitiful. It was almost impossible to not sympathize on the current situation, especially since it happened because of her.Sighing, her eyes darted around, spotting a slight movement behind a rock in the corner of the cave. She grabbed Jake’s arm, gesturing towards it. “I-I think she’s here.”Jake stopped, looking towards the rock. “Come out.”A harsh breath dragged on in the silence but there was no further movement. Jake stepped towards the rock, but stepped back when someo
Verya pocketed her hands as she continued into the woods. The sun was rising, and though she didn’t sleep much through the night, her steps were energetic, and her eyes wide open. Jake, Ethan and Aron were walking in front of her…all three were unwanted company, but the more help, the better, right? Sighing, her eyes drifted through the bushes with a sad gleam in them. She missed Sathe…it had been two days of searching now and she couldn’t pick up a trace of him. Would he really not return to her? And did she have the right to look for him when he left willingly? He said he didn’t want to stay anymore, what would she tell him when she found him? That he should come back to a place that he didn’t want to be? What if he refused to listen to her…? What if it all ended with a rejection? Verya was so scared and confused right now, she didn’t know what to do and why this was happening, she was completely lost…but she knew one thing and it was that she wouldn’t let him go without a proper
Sathe looked down at his bloody body with a sick smile on his lips. He didn’t know why, but the fact that the blood on his bare skin was for once not his gave him a sense of superiority. The voice was rumbling in his head, dark and alluring, nothing he was afraid of, and the dead bodies he stepped on as he walked out of a havoc he created pleased him greatly. He felt powerful…like a monster…a beast…but wasn’t that what he was? Sathe’s smile grew even wider, his eyes drifting towards a fae who was pitifully trying to crawl away. Her body was soaked in the blood that fed the earth, her heavy breaths the only thing that dragged on into the night. He walked over to her, pressing his foot into her back. “And where do you think you’re going?” “Please…I beg you…d-don’t kill me.” A chuckle, one with not an ounce of humour drifted up his throat. “Please…? Should I really not kill you? Beg some more and I’ll consider leaving you alive.” “Please…” She turned to stare at him, her face just
