I wrapped my arms around my husband’s back, hugging him tightly. I kissed the black phoenix tattoo he had there before I laid my head on it.
He turned around and put his glass of whiskey on the table nearby, wrapping his arms around me as he embraced me. He kissed the crown of my head, allowing me to lay my head on his bare chest.
“A penny for your thoughts?” I asked. He got a call from Luka, and has been out here in the veranda since then, and though I knew that he most probably won’t tell me what it’s about as not to worry me, I was still curious. He looked down at me and smiled shaking his head in assurance, as I had expected earlier.
