Eliana:
“Can I know where you’re taking me?” I asked as Viktor put his hand on my lower back, guiding me through the long halls of whatever building we were in. I could swear that we were walking in some kind of palace, and no matter how many rooms we crossed, we would be passing through a hall to enter through another huge room. The interiors were different in every room making me think that we were going inside through different buildings.
“You need to eat something, and I can’t trust you with utensils in your bedroom”
“You can bring plastic ones if not”
“You’ll still find a way to use them as a weapon” Viktor teased. I had to fight back laughing at his words before we walked inside one of the rooms. My eyes widened at its size, but I quickly recomposed myself. The smell of food hit my nostrils, I had to admit that it was both satisfying and disturbing as the urge to throw up grew stronge
Vladimir:“Dad, you and mom have been married for almost thirty years” I said looking at dad who raised an eyebrow at me “you know I suck at this, but you and I both know that you would be losing yourself without her”“Your wife is kidnapped, and here you are worried about my and your mom’s marriage?” dad asked “what are you playing at, Vladimir?”“She’s fine, for now at least, but I also need your help in something” I said making dad frown in confusion “first, we’ll discuss you and mom”“Vladimir…”“Dad, I can’t let the two of you lose one another after everything you’ve been through” I said looking him in the eye. He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose as he listened to me, I knew that I tended to be harsh at times, and drove him crazy over the years. But the old man supported me with everything he could, and
Eliana:“So?” I asked Viktor who stayed quiet as he studied my expression. The man looked as if he was having a mental battle with himself, and for a second, I believed that he was.He opened his mouth to speak when the door was knocked breaking our conversation as the doctor walked inside with a paper in her hand. She handed him the paper before walking to me, her eyes remaining on the IV as she removed it from my hand, her expression gentle.“You need to be sure to watch out for your nutrition, and be sure to take the prescribed vitamins, other than that. You should be good” she explained. I nodded not saying a word, watching as she walked out again leaving Viktor and I alone in the room. His eyes studying my expression as he fought to find the proper words to explain what he wanted to say.“You do know that I don’t bite, Viktor” I said raising an eyebrow.“That can’t necessarily be true, as y
“Vladimir, you better not lay a finger on my daughter” Nina said walking inside the house where her daughter lived. Luka and I were sitting by the little girl, having bought her presents and sweets, the little child was satisfied; however, as assumed, her babysitter went and called Nina.“Mommy” the girl smiled and ran to her mother. The woman carried her daughter and hugged her tightly, kissing her cheek. The little girl, Riley, was the biggest weakness that Nina had, and taking that to my advantage, as I had assumed; it lured her here.“You will get out of here, Vladimir, the fight is between you and me, my daughter has nothing to do with this” Nina snarled. Riley looked at her mom with teary eyes, fearing her tone and I shook my head at her recklessness to the situation.“But mommy, the nice man bought me gifts” she said extending her hand to show her mom the toys. Nina kissed her daughter once more before putti
Eliana:“Viktor, stop it!” I said pulling the man to a stop once we reached an empty alley. We had been walking around for the past hour, hiding from whatever danger he saw. But now the man’s bandage was being smudged by his blood, letting me know that he was losing a lot more than he should.“Eliana, we need to get you as far away from here as possible” Viktor snapped despite his tired state. Had it been a different situation, I would have slapped the life out of him for this, but seeing what we were in now; I knew that I wouldn’t leave him like this.“Have you ever considered taking me back home? You’re bleeding out, and it is only a matter of time before your body has lost its strength. Considering the fact that you won’t tell me what the bloody hell is going on, nor will you return me home, and not to mention the fact that you stopped me from trying to go home; you will at least let me treat that stupid b
Vladimir:“What do you mean by you lost trace of them, Daniro?” I asked wide eyed. Fear could be heard in my voice as I worried about my wife, my mind going back to the ambush that I saw.“The cameras on a thirty-mile radius were shut off, not to mention that we completely lost track of Viktor’s phone; both went MIA” Daniro answered. I could hear him typing as he spoke to me, and that fact alone worried me considering the fact that I knew that he was trying to track something on my wife. The idea of me allowing her to stay where she was when I knew for fact that I should have gotten her out when I knew exactly where she was disturbed me more than ever. My mind going back to what I saw earlier, she was with Viktor handling a gun; she could have easily escaped, but she seemed to be following him rather than trying to leave.“I’m on my way home, Daniro” I said not answering what he said. The fact that she was willingl
Eliana:“You’re not eating anything, Eliana, and it’s not good for your baby” Viktor stated looking at me as I sat on the couch. I laid my head on the armrest as I kept my eyes on the wall wondering what the hell I did wrong to be here. The feeling of numbness ran through every vain in my body, and it was like I suddenly couldn’t feel anything. This situation just felt like some dream to me, and I just couldn’t seem to wake out of it.Knowing that Vladimir would probably be going mad right now, I had nothing to do but wish for the best of outcomes from this. The man would end up killing everyone who thought of standing in his way now, and that wasn’t something that I wanted to think of.Viktor having told me that he was a federal agent keeping me safe from my own brother who was trying to kill me, not to mention revealing the fact that HE killed my parents and threw them in a building which he set on fire. I didn’t
Vladimir:“Anything?” I asked Alexis as he walked into my office. The man shook his head and I sighed running my fingers through my hair. Its been days since I last heard or saw my wife on footage, this was the longest I’ve been without her since the two of us got married, and I was NOT liking it.“We’re still doing our best to track any of them, but so far we haven’t been able to trace anything, boss” Alexis said avoiding my eyes. It took everything in me not to shatter my glass of whiskey which was on my desk. I’ve been at this every night since she was kidnapped, but now it was getting worse, especially since Luka had to carry my knocked out ass to the bedroom every night after finishing a few bottles.“Get out” I said looking down at the glass. Alexis knew better not to object as he walked out quickly. The door to my office was opened a minute later and my eyes hardened “I said, get out, Alexi
Eliana:“What the bloody hell was that about?” I snapped at Viktor who glared at me. His blue eyes piercing daggers at me, and I could swear he was plotting my death by just simply glaring at me.“I should be asking you the same thing. The man doesn’t know that I am on his side!” Viktor snapped back at me. The man was an idiot if he believed that I didn’t know that, but I also didn’t want my husband thinking that I was living with a man who could be plotting my death at any given second. I wanted him to be assured that I was alright.“I am trying to help the two of you fix things, and you just go on ahead returning the whole bloody thing way back to step one! Viktor, I do not want your brother to kill you when you are innocent of all the bullshit you made him believe” I said glaring at the man whose eyes showed visible anger.“That is not for you to decide, Eliana. I chose this path knowing the r
"Vladimir, I am not going to sit around while you..." Eliana snapped at her husband."You cannot expect me to sell you to the man, Eliana. That is out of question, so no!" Vladimir said glaring at his wife."We need to get inside, Vladimir. You and I both know that's the only way to do it"***************It started out with a marriage.A simple contract signed. But when their love conquers even the mafia's darkest desire of revenge.Things start taking a different path. Both Eliana and Vladimir Romanov would be forced into a war like no other. It is one of power, strength, and money. And remember, the Mafia's world only has one rule "there is no rule to follow when it comes to power"Would they be able to do what it takes? Will their love strive to survive through it all?Or would both crumble under it?
“Boss, it’s for you” the secretary said walking toward her boss. The one man that everyone feared, the mysterious man known as the enemy of all mafia families “it’s your son” He nodded at his secretary to leave the office, leaving him to talk to his son. The woman knew not to let her boss repeat himself twice. She knew the consequence of defying the man. He wasn’t a normal one anyway, a normal boss would fire his employee. This man would do it literally. “Leonardo” he said answering his son. His eldest son, his and his love’s first born. The man’s blessing and curse. The one person he knew that he would be willing to die for, well, that was in the past anyway. He wasn’t so sure about that now. “You sent me a message to call, Lorenzo” he said calmly. He didn’t like calling his father, the man knew that for fact. Having blamed him for not living with his mother, then hearing of her death after years of waiting to be reunited with her. The man wanted nothing mor
Eliana:“Be sure to call us when you arrive, yeah?” I asked hugging Kiara.“Don’t worry, love, we’ll call. Plus, now I have an excuse to pop up at LA every once and a while” Kiara teased and I laughed “you have an English sister by your side whenever you need me. Just one call, and I’ll be here by your side, yeah?”“Thank you, for everything, really” I said hugging her again. I watched as Vladimir and Nikolay said their goodbyes before Nikolay walked toward me. His eyes gentle, and his smile genuine as he wrapped his arms around me, pulling me in for a tight hug.“Stay safe, Eliana, and be sure not to get kidnapped again” he teased. I laughed pulling away from the hug watching as he cupped my cheeks and kissed my forehead “we’ll be coming back and forth, and I’m sure the same would go for your family. Whenever you need anything, just let us know, you have a fam
Vladimir:I wrapped my arms around my wife, holding her to my chest.“A penny for your thoughts?” She asked looking up at me. It’s been days since her breakdown, and despite her not shedding a tear in front of anyone. I was glad that she trusted me enough to open up to me.“I was wondering whether or not you wanted us to leave town for a few days. Just you and me, away, on the beach?” I asked looking down at her. She raised herself to look at me, and despite her love for the beach, she shook her head.I sighed but didn’t say a word to object knowing that she was still mourning. I wouldn’t lie when I said that I didn’t like her mourning over a man that did everything in his power to break every spec of confidence she ever had in her. But I couldn’t expect her to just live, move on, and forget that the man was her brother after all. She grew up with him, and no matter what she tried convincing herself ab
Eliana:I washed my face trying to wake myself from the trance that I was falling into. The pain that I was in, everything which was eating me alive. My husband who didn’t want to look at me, him holding me the way he did…I shook my head at myself, snapping myself out of it. I walked toward the bed and laid on it, gripping the blanket tightly as to keep myself safe from the world. I didn’t know what I was expecting next, and Ian’s words kept playing in my head as I tried closing my eyes.“Eliana…” Vladimir’s voice broke my heart, partly because of what he had heard, and because of what happened. I felt the bed dip beside me as he sat down beside me. He slowly removed the blanket from over my shoulder, revealing my face; however, I closed my eyes and turned around, giving him my back.Vladimir sighed and ran his finger over my bruising arm, where he had gripped it “I’m sorry, malyshka”
Vladimir:Eliana and I walked toward the basement’s door and I sighed when Eliana stopped a few steps back as not to hear her brother’s bone shattering.Riley was upstairs in her playing room with Grace and Kiara, and the TV was loud enough as for her not to hear what was happening down here.“Eliana…”“Vladimir, I want to go and see him” Eliana said stopping me. I froze for a second not sure if I had heard what she said right. Her eyes met mine and I could see the seriousness in her expression “I have to hear this from him, Vladimir”“Eliana, what are you going to hear from him? More specifically, would you be able to look at him?” I asked. Eliana stopped for a second to think, before nodding.“I am sure, Vladimir. I wouldn’t be able to live with this if I don’t hear this from him, and whether or not I’ll be able to handle the vision; I don’t kn
Eliana:“We aren’t the ones who are practically kicked out of the house” I heard the maids mock inside the kitchen.“One more word and I will be sure to rip your tongues off” Aurora snarled.“Do try, you know, boss wants you out of the house…”“What is the meaning of this mockery?” I asked walking inside the kitchen. The girls who were watching as Aurora cut the onions. Their hands which were crossed over their chests, and their heads which were held high lowered to their feet as they avoided my eyes. None of them opened their mouths to speak, and Aurora continued to chop the onions for tonight’s dinner.“Rather than working, you’re choosing to mock a family member?” I asked angrily. I could hear Aurora stop chopping, though she made no attempt to turn to face me.“We apologize, M’lady…”“Pack your things, and thankful t
Vladimir:“Well, well, well, if it isn’t our beloved snake” I said entering the basement where Ian was locked. Luka, Nikolay, Viktor, dad, Dimitri, Richard, Sebastian, and I were inside while the girls waited for whatever we were to tell them when we walked out. I knew that Audrey wanted to be here, but I was going to give it a while before I’ve allowed her to walk inside. There were still answers that I wanted to get.“Ah, boss decided to arrive. What happened? Couldn’t find what you were looking for?” Ian smirked.“If you’re referring to your boss, then I’ve found what I needed, for now. However, I was to make sure that you begged to die before I watched you bleed to death” I whispered to the man before dragging my knife along his jawbone. The man fought to stay quiet, but I could tell by his shivering that he was already frightened of whatever fate I decided to give him.“Now, I&rs
Eliana:I watched as my husband walked inside the hotel suite where I was sitting with Luka waiting for him in the living room. My hands were crossed over my chest as I sat after growing tired of pacing around the room like some psychotic woman who was on the verge of killing someone.Vladimir smiled at me and wrapped his arms around me when I got up and walked toward him. He kissed the crown of my head and I laid my head on his chest, right over his beating heart, relaxing in his embrace. We pulled away to look at one another and Vladimir cupped my cheek, softly pecking my lips. Luka got up and crossed his arms over his chest, waiting to hear what happened since he was sent here with me. The poor man has been bearing with my rant since then, well, it wasn’t technically a rant, it was just me snapping at myself for being a fool and believing whatever anyone has told me.“Two were dead, the rest are on our sides…” Vladimir told Luk
