My hands shook as I watched Vladimir walk out of the suite.

He had gotten a call from Luka, and whatever it was, he left the room without saying a word to me. His angered expression which was both filled with rage and disappointed was stuck in my head. It played over and over again, and no matter how much I tried, the image just seemed to appear whenever I blinked.

The fact that he found out the way he did killed me, I didn’t want it to be this way; but then again, I never thought of a way of telling him to begin with. Maybe because we were never actually a couple, but the betrayal on his expression broke my heart, and the thing was, I couldn’t blame him.
