My heart raced against my ribcage as I stared at Alberto’s lifeless body.

Dad’s eyes were wide in both fear and shock, and I could tell that he was trying to keep himself composed as not to flinch in front of Vladimir. Though that was almost impossible considering the fact that Vladimir had the place surrounded by his men, and they were all armed.
