ALPHA KONAN'S POV

I am from a pack of rogue wolves, and I am second in command.

"This information is past me already. Tell me exactly what I need to know. On whose orders do you act on?" I questioned coldly.

He squirmed under my glare.

"Apart from our leader, there's another man, someone powerful, who pays us handsomely and contracts us to wreak havoc, attack vulnerable packs or kill people. I don't know his name and I haven't seen his face before."

"Go on," I commanded.

"All I know of, is that the man pays us handsomely for every job well done. He is someone of a high status. But there should be something you should be wary of. There's a spy living in your pack giving crucial information to the man in question. Someone close enough to know everything," he said anxiously.

I rubbed my palms together. A spy. I had known for weeks, sensing betrayal close. This confirmation, though not enough, solidified my suspicions.

The man before me knew little information about who was

PETRA'S POV. Here I stood, standing face to face with Godfather. Copro and Kong were nowhere in sight. His eyes were narrowed and his expression revealed hints of malice masked by a facade of pity. "I am sorry Petra, he said. I can't grant you the request of releasing your sister to you. Be rest assured, she's in safe hands," he replied smoothly, his voice dripping with dark deceit. My heart closed up as I stood and stared defiantly at Godfather. "Godfather, it is lame for you to go back on a promise made. You gave me your word. You promised to hand my sister back to me if I successfully carried out the mission. C'mon Godfather, look at everything. Alpha Konan is devastated, Madeline is suffering bitterly, and Oceanwolf pack is on the brink of chaos. The results are depicting exactly what you want" Godfather chuckled confidently. The sound of his chuckles left me in total disbelief. "No, no, he said shaking his head as though amused by my naivety. You are mistaken Petra. I neve

MADELINE'S POV "Madeline, how are you doing today," Grandma Catherine asked as she passed my lunch to me from the food trolley. "I am doing great Grandma Catherine," I responded with a forced cheerfulness. "I heard the Alpha is coming to supervise the Penal Pier today, regarding the last accident that happened." I felt a twinge of nervousness at the mention of alpha Konan's visit. The nerves I had been trying to suppress surged back with revenge. "I have to move along. Everything must be in order," Grandma Catherine continued, her voice tinged with urgency. "Look for the best time to explain yourself to Alpha Konan, she added. The penal pier is not a sweet place for a sweet lady like you." Grandma catherine patted me on the shoulder and trudged along." Ever since the tragedy, I have been wanting to see him, to explain myself, to tell him that I was not a murderer and can never be one. I wanted to tell him things weren't adding up even when all the evidences were pointin

ALPHA KONAN'S POV I couldn't sleep all night. The emotions swirling within me refused to let me rest. Madeline's rejection had caught me off guard. How dare she!!! I needed distraction, a lot of it. I so much craved for an outlet, a physical outlet to undo the anger and frustration trying to camp within me. I headed down to the pack training grounds. I hoped the sight of disciplined warriors honing their skills would remind me of the order I demanded in my life. But what I saw only deepened my anger. Scattered warriors milled about aimlessly, some lounging, others chatting idly. Not one of them noticed my presence. I stood there, watching them for a moment, disappointed. They were supposed to be our first line of defense against attacks. Instead, they were wasting precious time. "What is the meaning of this," I bellowed angrily. Everyone went still. Their face a mixture of surprise and fear was lined on their faces, as they scrambled to form a line. They bowed in unison, greet

MADELINE'S POV I was bent over, breaking stones in the quarry as usual, my hands number from the repetitive motion. A faint tap on my shoulder didn't register nor the second one. "Madeline!!!" The sound of my name rang sharply in my ears jolted me back to reality. I looked up, startled, and saw grandma Catherine staring at me with concern. "Madeline, you have been out of it for days now. I have been trying to get your attention for a while. Are you sure you are okay?" She asked gently. I forced a smile, hoping it would mask the whirlwind in my mind. "There's no need to worry grandma Catherine, I am fine." She studied me for a moment, her brows furrowed, before nodding. "If you insist, I will go go ahead and continue my work. But take care of yourself child." "Of course. Be careful too," I called after her, watching her walk away before returning to my task." The physical labor was supposed to quiet my mind, but it didn't. My last encounter with alpha Konan kept playing a loo

MADELINE'S POV Hands akimbo coupled with her intimidating physique and imposing aura, Rosaline stood before me. "I confronted Petra about your miscarriage," Rosaline said abruptly. I scoffed. "I never agreed to cooperate with you. Without my cooperation, you have no right to confront Petra about her involvement in my miscarriage. You could be backing up the wrong tree, you know." Rosaline tutted shallowly. "I don't need your permission to address an impending danger to the pack. I am having this conversation with you because I want to, not because I need to." Her words stung. Before I could retort, she continued. "You are unwilling to cooperate and for the record, I don't back up wrong trees." My sources have seen Petra sneak out of the pack at night and return before dawn, not once, not twice. It's a pattern and patterns don't lie" "I had to confront her to confirm my suspicions while i gather evidences. For now, I think you need to have a major rethink for the love and loya

  • Contracted Mate To Alpha Konan   CHAPTER THIRTY THREE

ROSALINE’S POV The once peaceful northern borders of the pack were gradually turning into a battleground. It was no longer safe, and the attacks were becoming frequent . It was clear to everyone that our current strategies were failing. To keep the pack secure, we needed a better plan—one that could withstand the growing threats. I called for a quick meeting with the serving ranks stationed at the northern borders. They assembled promptly, their faces marked with a mixture of anticipation and tension. “Our current strategy is no longer working,” I began. “After careful discussions with Alpha Konan and the pack elders, we have come to a decision. Starting today, we will be restructuring our positions and strategies." "Each of you will be assigned roles based on your individual strengths. Your ranks remain unchanged, but your duties will shift to ensure we’re always one step ahead of our enemies. Does everyone agree?” There was a collective nod of understanding, though I could

PETRA'S POV I sat on the bed in my room with pile of papers scattered around me. I had perfected alpha Konan's handwriting. I was finally ready to rescue Marilyn, my sister. A sense of relief and fear came over me. When I arrived Godfather's cottage, Kong and Copro were not in sight. It was just me and Godfather. "Petra, why are you here without invitation," he asked. "I have successfully perfected the handwriting, Godfather. I am ready to rescue my sister," I replied with a steady voice. "Excellent. Ahh, Petra you are right on time, he replied with a slow, sinister smile." Godfather offered me a seat, and I reluctantly sat down. From a drawer, he pulled out papers, two of them and slid then to me. One empty and the other one with something written on it. "Now this is it, Petra, You are to transfer what is written on this paper to blank sheet of paper." I said nothing and I obliged. I picked the paper from the table and read through the contents. I gasped and my blood ran co

  • Contracted Mate To Alpha Konan   CHAPTER THIRTY FIVE.

PETRA'S POV My eyes slit open gradually as I struggled to get accustomed to the environment. I had been held captive for three days, and each day felt like an eternity of suffering. My body was exhausted, drained of all strength, every muscle screaming in protest. The air was thick and suffocating, almost as if it carried the weight of my guilt. The silver shackles on my wrists and ankles burned like fire, sizzling against my skin with every attempt to move. The pain was unbearable, but it was nothing compared to the agony I felt in my heart. My back throbbed from the punishment they had given me, the lacerations from the whip still fresh and raw, mingling with the dried blood that clung to my body and clothes. I had written a letter to Godfather three days ago, asking for help, pleading for mercy. I had confessed that I was compromised and needed to escape this mess. But now, as I lay here, waiting, the silence stretched on. There had been no response. I knew that by now, I was

ALPHA KONAN'S POVI carried her towards the bed and sat down, placing her comfortably, on my crotch, straddling me.She began to gyrate slowly and softly on my crotch. Even through the fabric of my pants, I could feel how wet she was, how badly she needed me.And then her hands found the hem of my shirt, and she pulled it over my head, exposing my chest. She stopped gyrating. Her fingers trembled as she traced her soft, small fingers over my chest, feeling the hard planes of the muscles. Her touch was featherlight, as if she was trying to memorize every inch of me.In turn, I unzipped her dress and let it fall to a pool on her waist, leaving her with only the flimsy lacy underwear.Oh Moon Goddess...What I saw! That only made me want to take my time with her.She wore no bra. Her naked full breast with protruding hardened nipples called to me."You are beautiful," I complimented, watching her through hooded eyes. Her lips parted as if she had something to say, but she said nothing.I

ALPHA KONAN'S POVMy eyes widened in shock."What?! I exclaimed softly. What did you just say?Madeline stared at me. Her once innocent eyes were now wild and desperate. A hunger burned in them— a hunger that mirrored my own."You heard me, Alpha Konan," she murmured with a hoarse voice filled with urgency. "Claim me!"I curled and uncurled my fist beside me. Every fiber of my being scorched, my control stretching impossibly thin."I think I will go insane if you don't," she exhaled sharply, her chest rising and falling with uneven breaths. "I want your lips on mine, your hands on my skin. I ache for you," she said raspily.Shudder racked through me. Did she even understand what she was asking? What kind of beast she was unleashing? Elyan surged forward. Feral. Restless. But this was happening too fast."Are you sure about this, Madeline?" My voice was low and guttural. She didn't hesitate to reply. "I have never been more sure of anything, Alpha Konan."This wasn't enough. I needed

ALPHA KONAN'S POVThe journey to Crescent Pack is now confirmed, Rosaline said. Everything is in place.I just gave her a knowing, short nod.Sera's memory has improved faster than we expected, compared to the last time I reported to you. That was a relief, but I stayed silent. Also, Godfather now pressurizes Sera to bring him the new pack agreement. He can't wait much longer.I released a slow breath, reached into my desk drawer, and pulled out the document, then slid it to her. She picked it up and went through the pages. A slight frown emerged. "Are you giving Godfather the original agreement?" she asked."Yes," I replied. She lifted her gaze, scrutinizing me. "You are actually giving it to her?"I rested my back on my seat. "She needs something real. Something with Oceanwolf Pack seal. Godfather should never suspect anything. If not, he will tear through every lie she tells. He needs to believe Sera is not compromised. The more he trusts her, the more reckless he will become."Ro

MADELINE'S POVThe moment we were far enough from Alpha Konan, I yanked my hands away from Damien's grip.He stopped, tilting his head with a mockingly amused expression. "That's a weird way to say thank you," he mused."Thank you? For what?""For saving you from that conversation with Alpha Konan," he said smoothly. "I saw how much you wanted to get away from him. Now you need to make it up to me. We have a lot of catching up to do."I scoffed, rolling my eyes. "What do you want, Uncle Damien?""A date," he blurted.I blinked. "A what?""A d-a-t-e," he stressed, as if I had difficulty hearing. "We are going to have a date, in public, where the whole pack sees us. His eyes shining with mischief. I want us both to be a thing."A laugh bubbled up from my throat. I shook my head, letting it spill out, filled with ridicule."That can never happen between us Uncle Damien. We can never be a thing."I turned on my heel, ready to walk away."If that's all, then I—But then he spoke, and his w

  • Contracted Mate To Alpha Konan   CHAPTER NINETY

MADELINE’S POVRelief settled in my chest. I wasn’t the only one Alpha Konan had summoned. Rosaline, Dan, a few high-ranking warriors, and the pack elders were all here. That meant this meeting wasn't personal, but important. I exhaled quietly. At least it wouldn’t just be me and him.Still, I couldn’t stop my eyes from drifting toward him. He looked… different. His sharp, commanding face was rougher, etched with deep worry lines, and he lacked the composure he always carried. Then my gaze moved lower. His left hand was wrapped in bandages, messily done, with only his fingers peeking out. The rumor floated through my mind—the one about him losing control, destroying things. Maybe it was true. Maybe he had really spiraled, hopefully not because of me.My hands curled into fists, nails digging into my palms. Whatever pain he was feeling now, it was nothing compared to what he put me through. And yet… my wolf didn’t listen to reason. My heart did its own thing, tugging in a way I wished

  • Contracted Mate To Alpha Konan   CHAPTER EIGHTY NINE

GODFATHER'S POVI was in Alpha Gritus's den. He was seated in his usual place, and his presence always carried an edge of danger. It was something I was already used to, but I never forgot to act cautiously."She's doing exactly what I asked. She reports Madeline's activities to me promptly. So far, there has been no slip-up because I always double-check whatever information she brings to me."Alpha Gritus tilted his head slightly. I could see he was interested in the results I brought. Encouraged, I pressed on."She's also close to better her hands on the new agreement between Oceanwolf pack and Crescent pack. Once she does, we will sabotage it according to plans. The alliance between the two packs will crumble, and with it, alpha Konan, Madeline, and Oceanwolf pack will be finished."I saw a slow, satisfying smile spreading across Alpha Gritus's face, and I felt a surge of pride. It was this approval I was waiting for.But then, nurse Maude had to open her mouth."How can you be so

MADELINE'S POVEven though I had done everything to the wound, it wouldn't stop bleeding. There was no other option than to send him to the Pack Hospital. As soon as we entered, it unfolded into chaos. Doctors and nurses rushed towards him. Without a word, they whisked him away leaving me standing in the hallway, my hands still sticky with his blood. I stayed outside the door as I waited for him to be treated. Finally, the door creaked open, and the pack doctor stepped out. His face was calm, and I rushed to meet him halfway."How is he?" I asked."He is stable now. If it were a normal human, he would have died," the doctor said flatly. "But surely, it will take time to heal. You can go in and see him now if you want to."Did I want to? I wasn’t sure. My feet stayed rooted to the spot even as my mind screamed for me to turn around and go back to my quarters. After all, he had others who would come to check on him. He didn’t need me.Yet, my feet betrayed me, carrying me toward the doo

MADELINE'S POVAlpha Konan had been gone for weeks. I hadn't seen him since the day I rudely told him off at the Pack hospital. Those words had come from a raw place inside me, and once they were out, there was no taking them back. In fact, I didn't want to take them back. I thought they would make me feel better, and make him distance himself away from him, but all it had done was leave a bitter taste in my mouth. And then, he was nowhere to be found. At first, I noticed his absence in small ways—empty study, his commanding voice during pack meetings. But as the days stretched into weeks, the emptiness became worse. My wolf was always restless, pacing inside me like a caged animal.I tried to ignore it, to shove the ache down and focus on my daily life and life as a diplomat, but it didn't work.I couldn't stop thinking about him. One day, curiosity got the better part of me and I asked Rosaline about him. I tried to sound normal, though I doubt I pulled it off."He's out of the pack

MADELINE'S POVThe air in the pack hospital felt unnaturally still. Since I woke up, Alpha Konan hadn't left my side. At first, I thought nothing of his presence, but as time went on, it became overwhelming.Every time I opened my eyes, he was there, watching as if I might disappear if he blinked. The sight of him sleeping in that uncomfortable chair, head tilted awkwardly, warmed my heart and displeased me at the same time. I needed to make him leave."Alpha Konan," I called softly. His head shot up immediately, scanning my face."You are awake," he said in a groggy voice. "Do you need anything? Water? Or should I call the pack doctor?" He asked intermittently."I need nothing," I replied. "I am fine, better actually. You don't need to be by my bedside all the time."He frowned."I am not leaving, Madeline, until I am sure you are fully rested."His words sent shudders of unease through me. The last thing I wanted was to be a burden to Alpha Konan."I will be very fine on my own. Yo
