Chapter 9: Her Punishment of Bitch Flora

Logan POV

As I watched Anne’s face, the sudden shift in her expression was stark, her usual composure replaced by a raw, almost palpable anxiety. It was clear something—or rather, someone—had unnerved her greatly. “Are you all right?” I asked, concern coloring my tone as I tried to gauge the cause of her distress.

She glanced at me, her eyes wide and shimmering with a mix of fear and uncertainty. “Yeah… I mean, no… I think I need to use the restroom. Please don’t mind,” she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper.

I was puzzled by her abrupt need for privacy but respected it nonetheless. “It’s fine. I’ll wait here by the bar until you come back. I want to introduce you to our guests together.” I gestured toward the restroom and then made my way to the bar to wait, leaning against the counter with a casual ease that seemed to draw a few admiring glances.
