Chapter 48 : Kylie gains the trust of the Graham family

Kylie’s POV.

Reuniting with my family had infused me with renewed strength and determination. Sitting around the kitchen table, I explained the next part of my plan to my parents. “I need you to take back the complaint against Graham,” I said, my voice steady but firm.

My parents exchanged confused glances. My father was the first to speak, his brow furrowed in concern. “But Kylie, you were the one who asked Michael to capture Graham in the first place. Why are you asking us to withdraw the case now?”

I took a deep breath, knowing I had to make them understand. “I wrote to Michael to capture Graham for a reason,” I began, looking directly into their eyes. “I needed to win over Graham’s family. They would never trust me as Anne, and since we’re competitors in business, they’d always be suspicious. By having Michael capture Graham, I’ve created an opportunity to gain their trust and make them my pawns.”
