Kylie’s POV

As the tension from the evening’s events still lingered, I watched Graham retreat to the restroom, clearly flustered and embarrassed by the spilled wine. My instincts told me to help him, despite the turmoil he had caused earlier. Logan, sensing my intent, stepped forward to follow.

“Should we help him?” I asked quietly, glancing at Logan.

Logan nodded. “I have an extra shirt in the car. Let’s head to the valet and get it.”

We made our way through the bustling party, weaving between guests who were blissfully unaware of the drama unfolding. As we reached the entrance, Logan flagged down a valet. “Could you please bring my car around? There’s something I need from it.”

The valet nodded and hurried off. As we waited, I turned to Logan. “Thank you for this. I know it’s not your responsibility, but it means a lot.”

Logan gave me a reassuring smile. “It’s nothing. Graham might have been out of line, but everyone deserves a chance to save face.”

The atmosphere in the Wolf Clan’s meeting hall was charged with tension. Elders and leaders sat around the large, circular table, their faces grave and expressions tight. I took my place beside Logan, feeling the weight of the situation pressing down on me. This wasn’t just another meeting but a matter of life and death.Logan began the meeting, his voice steady and authoritative. “We’ve received disturbing news about the Umbra Academy. They have taken control of Elder Horace’s Pack and kidnapped his daughter, Leila.”Gasps and murmurs of shock rippled through the room. Elder Horace, a respected figure in our community, looked devastated. The worry etched into his features shattered his usually composed demeanor. His hands trembled slightly as he clasped them on the table.“What do we know about the kidnapping?” one of the Elders asked, his voice laced with concern.Logan glanced at me briefly before addressing the group. “The Umbra Academy has been targeting smaller packs for mont

Kylie’s POV.I was almost ready to tell Logan everything, to finally reveal my past. The mark on his neck had stopped me in my tracks—the shock of seeing it had stolen my words, leaving me speechless. As I gathered the courage to speak again, Logan suddenly looked up.“The grilled fish! It must be ready by now,” he said, cutting through my shock with his abrupt exclamation. He stood up and hurried out of the room, leaving me alone with my swirling thoughts.I took a deep breath, trying to steady myself. The heaviness that had settled over me when Graham left was lifting, replaced by an inexplicable sense of contentment. “How is this possible? I never thought I could trust anyone again.” Logan’s presence was slowly changing everything I thought I knew about trust and betrayal. Graham had shattered my ability to trust, but Logan was piecing it back together, bit by bit. Each kind gesture, each moment of care, was mending the broken parts of me. “Can I really let him in? Can I trus

Logan’s POV.I pressed my lips against Anne’s, feeling the warmth of her body against mine. Our intimacy was growing deeper, our kisses more passionate, and our embraces tighter. Her touch sent electric shivers down my spine, and for a moment, the rest of the world ceased to exist.Suddenly, the door swung open, and one of my betas stumbled in, his eyes wide with shock. He quickly realized his mistake and bolted out, leaving the door slightly ajar. The interruption startled both of us, and Anne’s eyes widened in surprise.“Damn it!” I growled, untangling myself from her. “Of all the times…”Anne rolled further into the bed, pulling the blanket over her head. “Just deal with it, Logan,” she mumbled, her voice muffled by the covers. “I’m going back to sleep.”Frustration boiled inside me as I stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind me. I found the beta waiting nervously outside. His eyes darted to the floor as I approached, my anger palpable.“What the hell were you think

My heart skipped a beat, excitement was quickly replaced by a sense of dread when I heard his moody tone.“Anne, get back to the pack. ASAP.” Logan’s voice was terse, clipped.“Logan, what’s going on?” I asked, concern lacing my words.“Just get here,” he said, and before I could ask anything else, he hung up.The abruptness of the call left me reeling. Logan never acted like this. “What’s happened? Why is he so moody?” I wondered, feeling my heart pound in my chest. I needed to get back to the pack fast.I turned to Graham, who was still standing nearby, clearly reluctant to leave. “Graham, I have to go. Kylie’s POV.The room was faintly illuminated, the soft glow of the bedside lamp casting a warm light over the bed. I lay there, my body aching from the torture I had endured, but Logan’s gentle touch brought me comfort. He carefully applied ointment to my wounds, his fingers moving with a tenderness that belied his fierce nature.“How are you feeling?” Logan asked, his voice soft yet filled with concern.“I’ve been better,” I replied, trying to muster a smile. “But knowing you’re here makes it easier.”Logan’s eyes softened, and he leaned in closer. “The people of the Umbra Academy are under our control now. You don’t have to worry about them anymore.”I let out a sigh of relief, though a part of me still felt uneasy. “They’re ruthless, Logan. They won’t stop until they get what they want.”His grip on my hand tightened, his eyes filled with determination. “I won’t let them touch you again. I’ll always be here to protect you, Anne. You have nothing to fear.”His words were like

Kylie’s POV.I sat on the edge of the bed, my thoughts a tangled mess. The whisper of Coral’s voice still echoed in my mind. “Have faith in him,” she had said. It had been so long since I’d heard her, my wolf, my other half. Her voice had been a constant companion until Graham had shattered our bond. Now, hearing her again after all this time was both comforting and unsettling.“Coral,” I whispered aloud, “you’re back.”There was no response, just the silence of the room. But I could feel her presence, a flicker of life within me that I hadn’t felt in so long. She was as much a victim of Graham’s betrayal as I was. When he hurt me, he hurt her too. Every wound I bore, she bore as well. The pain, betrayal, and heartbreak had all been shared.“Remember when we trusted him?” I thought, my mind drifting back to those days. “We believed in him so completely.”Coral had trusted Graham with everything. She had opened up to him, just as I had. We had both been so naive, so willing to beli

We’ve seen your dancing and painting skills, and they’re extraordinary. But what about swimming? How good are you?”I could almost see the smirk on his face. Graham loved to show off his swimming prowess, and this was his way of challenging me. “Swimming? I can hold my own,” I replied, keeping the anticipation out of my voice.“Great! How about we hit the pool tomorrow? I’d love to see you in action,” he suggested.“Tomorrow sounds perfect,” I said, smiling. “I’ll meet you there.”As soon as I hung up, I started planning. This was another chance to solidify my identity as Anne and further entwine Graham in my web. “If he sees me swimming, he’ll have no doubts left,” I thought

She had no idea that I had taken allergy medication beforehand to counter any symptoms. “You won’t catch me that easily,” I thought, suppressing a smirk.I had anticipated Flora’s interference. Her persistence was admirable, but ultimately futile. I had installed surveillance at Graham’s house the moment I moved in, a precaution that now proved invaluable. The cameras had captured Flora’s visit to Olivia, and I had watched the footage with a mixture of amusement and irritation.Flora had been thorough, I had to give her that. She had tracked down the swimming coach I initially went to, learning about my fear of water. She had also managed to snap a photo of Logan and me, further fueling her suspicions. “Flora, always digging,” I mused. “You think you’re clever, but I’m always one step ahead.”I handed Olivia the empty glass, her eyes se

My father was the first to speak, his brow furrowed in concern. “But Kylie, you were the one who asked Michael to capture Graham in the first place. They would never trust me as Anne, and since we’re competitors in business, they’d always be suspicious. By having Michael capture Graham, I’ve created an opportunity to gain their trust and make them my pawns.”My mother’s face softened with understanding, but there was still a flicker of wo
