Brooklyn-
I was sure I pissed him off this time. Just because he hasn’t hit me, he still had the biggest temper I have ever seen. That was saying a lot too. Considering I had been surrounded by people that hated me to the max. Was I intentionally trying to test him or something, to see just how far I could push him?
This hot and cold temper of his frustrating me to no end. I couldn’t figure him out and I spent all night trying. He had left in such a hurry last night without even finishing his food. Had I said the wrong thing? I mean one minute he was asking me how I felt and the next he was practically storming out of the place.
It was five in the morning and while I didn’t want to deal with everyone, I knew I had no choice. It was part of the contract and I was obligated to follow it. Digging through the clothes I had, I couldn’t decide what to wear. There hasn’t been a time in my life that I could remember that I had so many options.
Sifting through
Tatum-Turning around, I let my gaze travel up and down her body. Seeing her in my clothes, had me fighting the urge to throw her on my bed to ravish her fully. There was no way I could deny that she was stunning. Every inch of her, from the top of her head, that I now know smelled of cherry almond, down to her small and dainty feet.I was almost certain she has been untouched by any man, or at least I hoped so. I would hate to find out something far worse than what she has already told me, happened to her. Clenching my jaw, I didn’t move until I knew I could trust myself not to react and do exactly what I had in mind.Taking a few seconds longer than I wanted, I was finally able to approach her. She flinched slightly but stayed in place as I tugged on the bottom of the shirt, to tie it off to the side. Knowing that her response was from the way I handled her when we stood in her bedroom, it quelched my desire for her. Well, enough that I could be this clo
Brooklyn-It had been a little unnerving having Tate so close to me. I hadn’t known what his intentions were, and it had taken me a minute to understand what he was trying to do. As we moved, I started to feel surer of myself. Each thing he called out, he helped me with the movement. Some of the things he wasn’t able to help me in the same way, he would occasionally tell everyone to hold their position so he could correct my stance or where my limps needed to be.I tried to remember every movement and what they were called. I appreciated what Tate had done, but I felt like it put me at a disadvantage with everyone else.If it wasn’t for me, I am pretty sure that they would have been doing more advanced things.I was going to make it a daily routine that every chance I was able to, I would practice these moves in my room, or in private. The last thing I wanted to do, was to show everyone my incompetence. We continued training
Tatum-It was five after six in the morning and Brook still hadn’t shown up to training. Whatever her reason for being late was, it better be good. I had let her not attend training the first couple of days because she had been injured. Now there were no excuses. After yesterday’s performance, I was more insistent that she continues training. She could barely even throw a punch.I knew she wasn’t injured, weak maybe, but not injured. Her weakness didn’t even stem from her injuries. I was certain that after everything she had told me, she was just malnourished to the extreme. It really was no wonder her wolf hadn’t shown itself, she probably wouldn’t even survive her first shift. If she didn’t think she had anything to wear, well I had already seen to that yesterday and had dropped off a bag of clothes after dinner. She hadn’t answered the door, so I had left them hanging on the doorknob. I knew she got them since t
Brooklyn-Tate continued to help me with my form, each time my punching improved and I was soon able to throw a proper punch. The longer we worked on it, the better I started to feel. It felt good knowing that I could now throw a punch. It may not be much, but it was better than what I had known.“Let’s call it a day for now. We can work on your kicking tomorrow in class.”Now was my chance. I could see if maybe I could work on my own up here. I wasn’t going to tell him the real reason, but maybe I could convince him to let me train alone, at least until I approved.“I would like to train on my own.”“No, out of the question.”“I promise I will work hard every day, but I am only holding everyone back. It isn’t fair to them that they are being trained at my level.”I hadn’t wanted to use that reason, since it showed just how unskilled I really was, even though he a
Tatum-“Today we spar.” I told Brook, as we headed up the stairs, to the gym.“You think I am ready?”She turned her head and looked up at me with those big blue eyes of hers. She was getting more beautiful by the day and it was getting harder keeping my thoughts away from what I would like to do to her. Regardless, nothing I think about will ever bring me to even attempt to do anything with her. She seems to have improved a lot, but I can still see the fear and the ghost of her past.“It has been two weeks. You aren’t going to get much better than you are now without actually sparing with someone.”Actually, she has exceeded my expectations, to be honest. She looked healthier, put on just a bit of weight, and filled out more. She was still small, but I could now see the definition in her muscles. She has taken to wearing black shorts that formed to her body and a black sports bra. It made concentrating on
Brooklyn-As much as I knew Tate was right, I needed him to train me more than he realized. If he would just give me a chance, I am sure I could overcome this fear. I had to, if I didn’t everything I was doing was for nothing.I had chased after him to try to convince him I was ready, but I had hesitated too long. Just as I caught up with him, he had already been on a bike and driving off like a mad man. I had been given the opportunity to become stronger and finally defend myself. Yet this fear I held onto was holding me back.I have been training nearly every waking moment I could. Learning early on that I couldn’t push myself so hard, I found a pace that suited me. When I wasn’t training I was working on building up my strength by eating more. Or I was learning my way around the territory. Albeit, this was a lot large of a territory I was used to.There were stores I had never even heard of. Everything here was large and extravagant.
Tatum-Skidding my bike sideways to a stop, I stopped my bike in the middle of the road. The rear end of my bike was with inches of hitting the male guarding the main road leading into the pack entrance of Lunar Eclipse.“What the hell man? You could have hit me!” The man said, jumping back after I had already come to a complete stop.Moving my gaze over the man, I wondered if he was a complete moron or what. If he had been worried about me hitting him, he should have moved out of the way. Instead, he had just stayed there like an idiot and only moved after the threat of me hitting him wasn’t even an issue. Rolling my eyes I ignored his statement.“Let your Alpha know Alpha Tatum is here to see him.” I said through clenched teeth.“Right away sir!” The guy said, standing up straight, puffing out his chest.I waited for a few seconds, letting my anger continue to boil. Not that it was even possible to
Brooklyn-I don’t know how long I had walked around the forest for, after leaving Jason to get back to his patrol. The sun had already set and the night chill was setting in. The feeling like I was being followed still flowed through me. Every cell in my body was urging me to run. I would, but I didn’t even know where I was.I must have veered off slightly, it was like I was walking in a never-ending forest. If it weren’t for my ability to adjust well to the dark, I wouldn’t even be able to see anything. I no longer knew if I was even in the pack territory any longer. Maybe if I just stopped and got a sense of where I was, I could figure out which direction to go.Coming into a small clearing, I stopped and turned around a couple of times, trying to see if I could see a path that would lead me out of the trees. When I came full circle once more, I found I was no longer alone. I hadn’t heard him, smelled him, or even sensed him. Stan
