Chapter 5

ALPHA LORENZO'S POV

The thought of being married to an omega, like Loretta irks the fuck out of me.

I hate this marriage with every blood running through my veins.

If not for the fact that Gamma Rover had something against me, I swear on my late parent's grave, I would have rid his entire family from existence.

But I had to keep cool. Until I work out a plan and catch him off guard.

I just can't wait for the fun to begin.

“ Alpha,”

A knock was placed on the door, causing a hiss to escape my lips.

Oh, how much I hated to be interrupted during my time alone.

“ What do you want, Leo?” I asked, my voice evidence of how annoyed I was.

“ I'm sorry to interrupt, but she refused to stay in the room you gave her.” Leo said, his head hung low.

My brows creased, as a devilish smirk tugged at the corners of my lips.

Interesting, isn't she?

“ And why is that?”

“ She said she wanted a room in separate chambers.” Leo replied. “ She doesn't want to stay in the same chambers as you.”

“ If she doesn't want to stay there, she should stay at the maid quarters.” I shrugged. “ I give zero fucks about her or whatever she does here.”

“ Okay, Alpha.” Leo bowed his head, leaving at once.

Today was one hell of an hectic day.

I had so many reports piled up and my head has been stuck in those reports for the past few hours.

Finally, I was done, and I needed a cool bath and a good fuck to calm myself down.

As I made my way to my chambers with the guards vigilant behind me, I came across Loretta.

She jerked to a stop when she saw me coming, and the fear in her eyes was so thrilling.

I enjoyed how scared she was whenever she saw me.

“ Good evening, Alpha…” she trailed off, bowing her head to avoid my gaze.

“ I heard you refuse to stay in the room opposite mine.” I stepped forward, an inch closer to her. “ Why is that? Aren't we supposed to be pretending like a married couple? Isn't that what you and your father had always wanted?”

The atmosphere seemed to plummet as my voice became incredibly low and menacing.

“ I never wanted any of this.” She retorted, trying to keep her voice casual.

Loretta was trying to hide her fears from me, but little did she know that I'm a devil. I see the innermost thoughts and desires of people, including hers.

“ So why are you here? If you never wanted any of this, you could have declined.”

I could see ice seeping through her veins at the way those emotionless and dark eyes of mine bore into hers.

She went silent. She fucking went silent!

Am I a joke to her?

“ I don't think I owe you any explanation,” she said, raising her head to stare into my eyes. “ I will sign the contract like you wanted, and we will be cool.”

I wasn't satisfied. I wasn't damn satisfied.

My eyes roamed around her body like a predator sizing up its prey.

“ You better stay the fuck out of my sight, all else…” I paused and took another step closer, while she took a step backward. “ I will kill you and send your body to your father!”

I felt her breath sized, and fear clouded her eyes.

That was what I wanted. To instil fear in her.

A slow smile tugged at my lips, the smile of a true psychopath.

Once I was done, I took a step away from her, straightened up and walked away, with the guards trailing behind me.

Upon getting to my room, I perceive a faint scent which doesn't belong to me.

With my keen senses, my strong instinct for smell, helped me locate the intruder inside my room.

The scent was lavender and honey.

Walking slowly with silent footsteps, I made my way into the bathroom.

My eyes snapped towards a petite woman, her back turned against me as she rubbed her body slowly under the shower.

My eyes clouded with lust and the urge to devour her under the shower, but I stopped myself.

Now wasn't the right time to fuck anyone.

“ What are you doing here?” My voice dropped into a rumble. “ You're breaking my rules, Natalie.”

She freezed, and slowly turned around, her boobs bouncing as she did.

“ A…. Lorenzo.” She stuttered with an awkward smile.

“ I asked you a question.” I said, stepping closer. “ What the fuck are you doing here? In my bathroom.”

“ I…I missed you…it's been a while since you called me… I missed your dick.” Natalie said, taking slow steps towards me, her eyes searing into mine.

She was making a mistake which could eventually cost her life, but she had no idea.

I don't joke with my rules. I never let anyone break them, no matter who it was.

“ You know I don't joke with my rules,” I deadpanned. “ I won't break my rules for you or anyone.”

“ I know, I know that, but I couldn't help it, Lorenzo…. I missed you but you won't call me to your chambers, so I had to come myself.”

She stopped in front of me, and tried to touch my chest, but I took a step back, my eyes another shade darker.

“ Don't you miss me too?” Nathalie whined.

“ Leave my chambers before I do to you what you might end up regretting for the rest of your miserable life.” I warned, my voice low and menacing.

“ I won't leave!” She yelled. “ I missed you, but you won't even fuck me?”

I didn't even let her take a breath before grabbing her neck roughly, shoving her to the tile wall of the bathroom.

She was naked, but do I give a fuck? No, I don't.

“ You're…strangling ... .me..” she tried to hit my hand away from her neck, but my hold was strong.

“ I warned you, didn't I?” I gritted, my eyes turned bloodshot. “ Don't break my rules or I will break you and send you to hell.”

“ Forgive me….Alpha..” she pleaded, losing her breath and tears leaving the corner of her eyes.

“ Fuck off,” I loosen my hold on her neck and took a step back. “ Now!”

She didn't even think twice before dashing out of the bathroom, naked.
