Cassandra's POV

"Yeah what's up?" he asks with a cutting edge in his voice and I inwardly grimace. Fuck I shouldn't have done that

"I'm sorry for earlier" I say and his lips curl a little, not upwards but downwards.

"Nothing wrong with a Luna correcting her subordinates" he shrugs and I sigh.

This actually needs more repairing than I thought.

"It's just, that's my wolf's reflex sometimes" I say lying through my teeth and praying it will get me off the hook this time.

"I said it's fine, I'm okay nobody's hurt" he says and I stand my ground.

" Well you saying nobody's hurt proves that you're hurt" I say and he scoffs.

"Says who Luna?" he asks and I roll my eyes.

"Your words your tone, they all prove that you're mad at me. " I say and he nods.

"What ever rocks your boat" he says and I sigh again.

"Let me make it up to you" I murmur and he raises his head as he stops punching the bag of sand in front of him.

" Make it up how?, you don't owe me anything, you made your mind clear

Alder's POV"I knew you were my mate , from the first time I saw you staring at me with those huge eyes. You weren't afraid of a huge wolf and I confess I was quite big for my age. I wanted to come close to you, till I heard you were the one without wolf. The one everyone was whispering about. The one every parent warned their child away from. I told my father and he told me to never speak of it again. Told me that before the people we should value mates as we got them from the goddess but we should try our best to switch the out. My mother wasn't his true mate. But that's a story for another day. " I say and she sigh."I'm tired Alder, tired of throwing blames, trying to find who is at fault and nothing is getting better. You did a lot of bad things to me as I did a lot of bad things to you as well. Things are not simple and easy but we can make it simple" she says to me and I nod."It's just about our feelings, I know how I feel about you. The mate bond is my witness. I feel it. Y

Cassandra's POV" I not only want to kiss you up here, but down there as well. All over your face, all over your breasts and your nipples. To look deep into your eyes as I am now and fuvk you raw and deep that you'll never ever forget who you belong to" he says and I'm entranced by his voice and his words. I never expected my mate to take like this. "You'll forget every other man that has touched you or kissed you before me" he whispers and his breath in the back of my ear only spurs me onLooking so harmless, under that exterior was a man that was so sexy he couldn't hide it as it spilled out of himNot that I was sure he wanted to hide it anyways. I swallow as I watch his lips, hoping I do not look so hungry for him to kiss me. I look up into his eyes for the last time and I see his wolf push to the surface his eyes glowing before he kisses me. And oh my days, Elia is a big fat liar. It isn't rose and fields and butterflies with this man, it's hard and fast and rough and I like it.

Gina's POV"He was imprisoned for a while. He came out of the cells repentant and he swore on his coronation day to not take any mate that was not you. Of course everyone thought you were dead at the moment so it was like he subjected himself to a life full of misery and loneliness." I say to her and I watch as she eats up the last bits of the sandwich I made for her. "So Alder suffered, he looks so " she whispers to her self as she licks her fingers. She looks a few years younger eating like a twelve year old. "What about my parents at the time?'' she asks me and I wonder why she would ask me that. "Your Majesty, why would you ask me that, that is something confidential to you're supposed to hear from Jack himself " I say to her feeling invincible hands clamp around my throat. I clear my throat and take a sip of water. "But you know, right? You're just telling me to ask my family, you're not telling me that you don't have a knowledge of what happened to my parents. " she says an

I laugh shaking my head, she is so easy to scare."Knock it off mom" I say rolling my eyes at her teasing. "Or else we might spend the next twenty minutes trying to wake Gina" I say and my mom laughs. "I'm so sorry dear, I just could not help myself when I smelt her fear, she looks so cute" mom says as I nod agreeing with her.Despite being Jack's age mate and age mate and about five years older than I am, she looked like my age, small and cute like a button. I lead her to the chair opposite my mother's at the tea table where my mom is sitting."I prefer to stand" she says to me and I laugh. "Common, you

Cassandra's POVThe room is deathly silent, not that there are plenty occupants anyways. Just Jack and the doctor are here, including Gina who just ran in like a freight train. More people come in but I don't mind the number. My vision goes fuzzy as I walk towards the white sheet is. Jack's eyes are red and his face looks like he scrubbed at it for the past twenty minutes. It looks weird how he's so unsmiling. He glances at me then takes another look at me. It obvious to see that he's suprised to see me here. Yes she was cruel to me but she is my mother. Not right now or biologically but she fed me and housed me. Although it was scraps and although it was in the dirty basement, she saved me from freezing to death in the cold , those years. Fuck, I'm literally alive because of her. I move closer still and pull back the white sheet. She looks oddly peaceful, like she did not make my life hell. I'm grateful that she is though. It would be cruel to wish her unrest in death. I swallow t

Cassandra's POVWe spend the next few days wondering and discussing who it might have been, or who they might have been seeing as it was not possible for just knew person to run all that by himself. We being, Alder, Georgiana, Scofield and myself. At a point I wondered on why Georgiana was even there at all but waved it off thinking that maybe her stupid brain could mislead us into knowing who it was. You know , maybe we would find out who it was by mistake. Although I wasn't too comfortable with her being involved in the whole investigation, but she still thought she was the beta so why not leave her be. However after days of pondering and wondering, we soon got bored and tired of the whole shit show and as a result, left everything to die down. Since no one was hurt, we took it as a prank and left it at that, although my gut was telling me it could be more. We strengthened our security and reinforced our borders. Then Elia came visiting. I was sitting in my office staring at the le

Gina's POV I let myself out of the room, I strangely feel out of place. I let out a breath as I stand behind the door, their laughter reaching me and pushing me further away from the room. Yes, despite my happy demeanor and my wife smiles, I struggle with low confidence and self esteem. They seem happy enough without me, so I'll just excuse myself and leave them. I think about what it is exactly that I'm doing in this pack. Nothing actually, I wake up every morning, take a shower, eat , wander around until either Cassie or her mother was ready to see me. Then I would wander around when they got busy again, no actual meaning to my days. The infirmary was full, even Amelia who just got here found a spot because she had a license, but me? Nothing. I didn't have any real qualifications but I knew fo certain, if I had to continue to live in Crimson Pack, I wanted to do it on my own terms.I get off the last staircase and see Scofield coming into the building."Hello" I say to him and he

I peek in to him still trying to sort out what ever it is he was trying to sort out when I first came in here."Hello, it's me again" I say and he gives me a beaming smile. "Gina" he calls out and I come into the office taking his smile as an invitation."You did wonderfully well, when can you start?" He asks me and I laugh."How am I sure you even know what happened in there?" I asked and he smiles. He turns the computer in front of him to show the security camera in the shop. I watch and see Chloe serve another customer with a smile and she tucks the money into the cash register, arranging it in and punching the amount in. "You spy on your employees?" I ask anger creeping in. "Look at this way, it's their for security purposes, I don't want nobody stealing any of my money, Incase a fight breakout, there'll be CCTV footage. That sort of thing" he explains hurriedly and I don't particularl

CASSANDRA'S POVI know that El had been going through a lot lately and it started from that night when she saw the book. And now it seemed as though there was more to what was happening than just the illness that befell her. And then the curse, the dream that she had. I sighed as she explained she'd been seeing so many things these days and I was trying to understand what it was that she was going through. "Seeing things, like what?" I asked."Like that same dream I had. I don't know why I keep having images of you or Julius getting killed. I mean is there something I don't know? Is something after you guys? Are you running away from something? So many things had changed since the day you found this necklace. A lot more changed since the day you found this book."Her voice trembled as she tried to talk about what she saw and I knew that it must have been shocking, I I moved towards her and held her hand, cause I knew I was certainly going to see what happened... then the terrible ima

JULIUS' POV Sabastian revealed himself from behind Alaric and I took a step back while Alaric, sensing him shielded him from me even though he was unfazed. "I see you two are finally enjoined.""What do you want Sabastian?" I asked."Oh, nothing much, just came to remind you of the oath you made. And you know it has consequences." Sabastian said, and I just knew I couldn't get off his grip easily. As Sabastian's words hung in the air, a shiver ran down my spine. I knew exactly what he was referring to - the oath I had made in a moment of desperation, when I thought it was the only way to save someone dear to me. But little did I know then, the grave consequences it would bring. My mind raced, desperately searching for a way out of this predicament. I couldn't let Sabastian have his way. There had to be a solution, a way to break free from his grip and nullify the oath. But it seemed like an impossible task.Alaric, still shielding Sabastian from me, glanced at me with concern in hi

JULIUS'S POV I found myself back in the past, back to when I was discussing with Alaric. His eyes were teary and it seemed as though I was yelling at him to leave me alone and that I didn't love him but Sabastian. The glimpse of these memories kept coming to me and the times when I chased Sabastian and he just made my life a living hell. All these was erased from my memory? Then I saw the part where I kissed Alaric. I was obviously heart broken because Sabastian didn't treat me well. Alaric always stood by me and always called to me. He never once let me go. The tears rushed down from my eyes because of the pain I went through being with Sabastian. In the depths of my mind, memories long buried stirred like whispers carried by the wind. They danced on the fringes of my consciousness, elusive yet relentless. And as the echoes of the past grew louder, I found myself caught in a swirling vortex of emotions. This was a time of love and heartache, a delicate balance between two souls. Sa

JULIUS' POV "There are so many mysteries poppinv out of no where's these days. I'm starting to think which one would we figure out?" Cassandra had heard about the news by me. And she wasn't wrong. There were indeed many mysteries. "Can you remember any instance where you both encountered?" I shook my head at her question. This vampire was new to me in every way. I wasn't even sure whether what he was saying was the truth.I stood at the mirror side, contemplating while Cassandra was pacing the room trying to think of probably what to do."Do you think he holds the mysteries to somethings? Perhaps he knows some truth about a matter. Would you try to find out?" She questioned and I contemplated. I wasn't so sure about that. Cassandra paced the room, her mind filled with questions and possibilities. The mention of encountering mysteries with this vampire sparked her curiosity even further. I could feel what she was feeling, could hear what she was thinking. She couldn't help but wonder

JULIUS' POV I made my way under the tree branches and away from the sun, contemplating about could happen next and how possible I would be able to tackle it. The moon was out now and the weather caused me to breathe, but then I feared for Cassandra and her family. The doubts that suddenly threatened to consume me these days wasn't helping the situation at hand at all. Some times I just wished I would be ordinary, while living an ordinary life, with nobody's intervention into my affairs. Without having to worry every second of the day. I stared at the moon a little to long because without even knowing I'd stepped into another realm. This realm was one of power, magic, fortune, but absolute no peace or remorse from them. The funny thing was, I'd been introduced to something like this before by the moon goddess, and had no idea what it was that she was trying to show me. This camp...magic existed, power existed, fortune existed, but no remorse nor peace. Then something in my mind clicke

CASSANDRA'S POVThe pain shot through my bone, causing me to jerk. And even though Alder was here with me I just couldn't get any relief, the pain and heat was all over even worse than my heat. Alder brought me close to himself and even though I wanted to snap, his scent didn't permit me to, instead it made me calm.As Alder held me close, his strong arms enveloping me, I could feel the tension slowly starting to melt away. His comforting embrace seemed to create a protective barrier around me, shielding me from the unbearable pain that had engulfed my body. His head was buried in my neck and I couldn't help but moan at the feeling of his lips touching it. I pulled him closer, not wanting him to let go, not even for a moment, and that made me wonder if I was really in pain or in heat. I was perplexed but didn't really have the time to think about it because of the profound pain. Alder's presence alone was a soothing balm to my troubled mind. With every breath, his familiar scent, a b

CASSANDRA'S POV I paced the room whilst Cassandra kept staring at me with concern. My thoughts were running wild, mind was still unable to comprehend what was going to happen next. All I knew was that things were beginning to escalate. I was beginning to suspect Sabastian, he was definitely one of those who were after the necklace. I continued to contemplate, because I couldn't predict what could possibly happen next... "Perhaps there's a way around all of these. We can't keep sitting while there's something out there threatening to attack us." Cassandra said. "I was considering something...the vampires are yet to reveal themselves. Do you think there's something fishy about that?" "We all know that there's something tricky with them. They're cunning and wouldn't act upon their intentions unless the time is right." I stated. "Perhaps I can write the story." "No, you can't. I've written it already, so there's no need for that." Her words struck a chord with me. She was right; we

JULIUS' POV I squinted my eyes as I noticed a figure from the distance through the window. Perplexed, I didn't know we were expecting any visitors, or perhaps it was one of the members of the pack? As the figure got closer this house I noticed the familiarity of it and was caught by surprise at the revelation that dawned upon me. Morgana had really outdone herself, bringing the dead back to life, ascertaining that her intentions are being executed. The figure I was seeing was nobody else other than Kathrine, and my eyes automatically shifted to Sabastian's. It was intended, he had called her here, he had given her that permission. And from what I was witnessing, she had a flesh, no longer a shadow standing in the dark. Now she was the person she used to be before she died. And I knew what she wanted, I knew what she was after too. My necklace. I stumbled backwards slightly at the profound feeling of the shock that was about to overwhelm me.
