Cassandra's POVWe spend the next few days wondering and discussing who it might have been, or who they might have been seeing as it was not possible for just knew person to run all that by himself. We being, Alder, Georgiana, Scofield and myself. At a point I wondered on why Georgiana was even there at all but waved it off thinking that maybe her stupid brain could mislead us into knowing who it was. You know , maybe we would find out who it was by mistake. Although I wasn't too comfortable with her being involved in the whole investigation, but she still thought she was the beta so why not leave her be. However after days of pondering and wondering, we soon got bored and tired of the whole shit show and as a result, left everything to die down. Since no one was hurt, we took it as a prank and left it at that, although my gut was telling me it could be more. We strengthened our security and reinforced our borders. Then Elia came visiting. I was sitting in my office staring at the le
Gina's POV I let myself out of the room, I strangely feel out of place. I let out a breath as I stand behind the door, their laughter reaching me and pushing me further away from the room. Yes, despite my happy demeanor and my wife smiles, I struggle with low confidence and self esteem. They seem happy enough without me, so I'll just excuse myself and leave them. I think about what it is exactly that I'm doing in this pack. Nothing actually, I wake up every morning, take a shower, eat , wander around until either Cassie or her mother was ready to see me. Then I would wander around when they got busy again, no actual meaning to my days. The infirmary was full, even Amelia who just got here found a spot because she had a license, but me? Nothing. I didn't have any real qualifications but I knew fo certain, if I had to continue to live in Crimson Pack, I wanted to do it on my own terms.I get off the last staircase and see Scofield coming into the building."Hello" I say to him and he
Gina's POVI slid to the back rooms once again and knock on the door of the "boss's" office. I peek in to him still trying to sort out what ever it is he was trying to sort out when I first came in here."Hello, it's me again" I say and he gives me a beaming smile. "Gina" he calls out and I come into the office taking his smile as an invitation."You did wonderfully well, when can you start?" He asks me and I laugh."How am I sure you even know what happened in there?" I asked and he smiles. He turns the computer in front of him to show the security camera in the shop. I watch and see Chloe serve another customer with a smile and she tucks the money into the cash register, arranging it in and punching the amount in. "You spy on your employees?" I ask anger creeping in. "Look at this way, it's their for security purposes, I don't want nobody stealing any of my money, Incase a fight breakout, there'll be CCTV footage. That sort of thing" he explains hurriedly and I don't particularl
Gina's POVDespite how he grabs me and pulls me to himself, I'm sure how gentle Jack's lips feel on mine. Slowly but surely, tingling every of my senses, he presses his lips to mine and even though all of this was seeming fast, his lips pluck gently at mine in slow, come hither movements. He’s not rough, not rough in anyway. I look at him wide-eyed, even though his closed eyes. “Relax, Gina” he murmurs against my mouth, his hand coming up to cradle my jaw. His next kiss is more of a body than lips thing, like he’s putting his whole body into it. There’s something very and curiously sexual about the way he moves against me, the way his tongue just barely peeks out to say hi my lips. I force myself to copy him, though after all, I'm very much of a novice, feeling my face grow hot when our noses bump each other awkwardly. Jack doesn’t miss a beat though, guiding the kiss. When he parts his lips, I follow suit letting him take the initiative although I was the one who started everythi
Gina's POVI walk to the kitchen without taking the stairs. My room is on the first floor and so is this kitchen. Jack slept on my room last night and I know it wasn't intentional. No we didn't complete the mate bond or anything. We just cuddled and had a good night rest, well I did and if it's any indication by the fact that he's still sleeping then yes, I'm sure he had a good night's rest. I walk into the kitchen and read for a plate with my left hand, grab the loaf of sliced bread in a mother hand. Placing both on the table, I read for the peanut butter and a table knife. I don't like peanut butter. Or I liked it and it scarred me for life when I was a little girl. I stole peanut butter from where it was kept by my mother and I put too much into my mouth. Believe it or not, in my haste to swallow quickly majority of the peanut butter stuck to my throat and I couldn't breath. It was a very traumatizing event but for my mate I was willing to e peanut butter today. Jack love peanut
Gina's POV"Who is it?, who are you dying for Gina?" She asks and I hold onto her hands as she looks into my face. "Cassie" I say softly. "Did she ask you to die for her?, Did she demand that if you? Was it her mother? Or that her Queen best friend?" Amelia hits me a round of questions that feel so much like a bullet I think I might die sooner than anticipated. And Amelia was a very close friend of mine. I talked with her everyday and we traded information we learned about this pack everyday. So yes she knew about Cassie's mother and about Elia as well. "No, it's none of those people, and I think Cassie would rather die than ask me to die for her" I defend Cassie and Amelia agrees because we both know how selfless Cassie can be. "Do you know who Georgiana is?" I ask her and she thinks for a while before nodding. "Yes, she's that beta girl, talk and beautiful but very rude.. I have seen her around" she says and I watch her facial expression. "What do you think about her?" I ask
Cassie's POVI find it funny how Gina and Amelia found it funny that I wanted to drink the poison. It was to be expected because truthfully I don't back down from a fight and Georgiana was too much of a fish fry to be a bother. I followed the ladies to Gina's room and playfully argued for cupcakes. This was the calm before the peace, I knew it. A knock sounded on the door and I knew who it was before they peaked in. I watched as Alder flashed his signature charm smile to Amelia and Gina. "Hello Ladies" he says and I see Gina roll her eyes. "Yeah yeah , we know take her away." Gina mumbles and I laugh."At least let him say hi first" Amelia says to her friend and I watch Alder falter over his words."Yes, I'm here to borrow my mate but still. I'd like to say hi" he says efficiently repeating everything that they said."It's been a while Amelia" he says to her and I watch as gratitude fills his eyes. "I was never able to say thank you for what you did " he says and she waves it off.
Cassie's POV“Are you on a pill, or we should use a rubber instead?” I nodded quickly and he raises an eyebrow."I have a pill thing going on" I say and he nods."Raw it is then" Alder nuzzled my neck again as his hand traveled over my breast, then trailed down my stomach until it slipped between my already shaking legs. He dipped one finger shushing me when I moaned out loud at the intrusion, then a second into me, making me moan even louder and not keeping me quiet this time. “You are ready, so fucking soaked” he growled. I was more than ready.I needed him desperately. My entire body ached for him. Alder moved his hand along my inner thigh before hooking his palm under my knee and lifting my leg until my foot was flat on the bed and my legs opened in a wide V. He pulled me even tighter against his body, spooning me, and guided his erection toward the slippery opening between my legs. He slowly eased his tip into me and I squeezed my eyes shut at the stretching feeling, feeling
EL'S POVCassandra had been quite helpful to me which I couldn't be more grateful for. But the nightmares kept on coming causing a lot of issues for me. Now I'd thought my parents had been killed unjustly but could it be that there was more behind the story than I thought? Why was I seeing my parents giving souls to unknown figures? Why did it seem like they were ready to sell themselves away without even considering the consequences? My eyes widened, these souls were two, and I could tell mine was excluded. Why would they give out the soul of their children selling them off to ancient figures. They knew they price they were going to pay for it and that was what they paid for, and they paid with their lives. Now my siblings were missing. I just knew, I knew that I could find them.. In the darkness of the night and the isolated land of my dream, I unraveled the twisted threads of my family's enigmatic past. The nightmares haunted my every waking moment, pushing me to dig deeper into t
CASSANDRA'S POVI know that El had been going through a lot lately and it started from that night when she saw the book. And now it seemed as though there was more to what was happening than just the illness that befell her. And then the curse, the dream that she had. I sighed as she explained she'd been seeing so many things these days and I was trying to understand what it was that she was going through. "Seeing things, like what?" I asked."Like that same dream I had. I don't know why I keep having images of you or Julius getting killed. I mean is there something I don't know? Is something after you guys? Are you running away from something? So many things had changed since the day you found this necklace. A lot more changed since the day you found this book."Her voice trembled as she tried to talk about what she saw and I knew that it must have been shocking, I I moved towards her and held her hand, cause I knew I was certainly going to see what happened... then the terrible ima
JULIUS' POV Sabastian revealed himself from behind Alaric and I took a step back while Alaric, sensing him shielded him from me even though he was unfazed. "I see you two are finally enjoined.""What do you want Sabastian?" I asked."Oh, nothing much, just came to remind you of the oath you made. And you know it has consequences." Sabastian said, and I just knew I couldn't get off his grip easily. As Sabastian's words hung in the air, a shiver ran down my spine. I knew exactly what he was referring to - the oath I had made in a moment of desperation, when I thought it was the only way to save someone dear to me. But little did I know then, the grave consequences it would bring. My mind raced, desperately searching for a way out of this predicament. I couldn't let Sabastian have his way. There had to be a solution, a way to break free from his grip and nullify the oath. But it seemed like an impossible task.Alaric, still shielding Sabastian from me, glanced at me with concern in hi
JULIUS'S POV I found myself back in the past, back to when I was discussing with Alaric. His eyes were teary and it seemed as though I was yelling at him to leave me alone and that I didn't love him but Sabastian. The glimpse of these memories kept coming to me and the times when I chased Sabastian and he just made my life a living hell. All these was erased from my memory? Then I saw the part where I kissed Alaric. I was obviously heart broken because Sabastian didn't treat me well. Alaric always stood by me and always called to me. He never once let me go. The tears rushed down from my eyes because of the pain I went through being with Sabastian. In the depths of my mind, memories long buried stirred like whispers carried by the wind. They danced on the fringes of my consciousness, elusive yet relentless. And as the echoes of the past grew louder, I found myself caught in a swirling vortex of emotions. This was a time of love and heartache, a delicate balance between two souls. Sa
JULIUS' POV "There are so many mysteries poppinv out of no where's these days. I'm starting to think which one would we figure out?" Cassandra had heard about the news by me. And she wasn't wrong. There were indeed many mysteries. "Can you remember any instance where you both encountered?" I shook my head at her question. This vampire was new to me in every way. I wasn't even sure whether what he was saying was the truth.I stood at the mirror side, contemplating while Cassandra was pacing the room trying to think of probably what to do."Do you think he holds the mysteries to somethings? Perhaps he knows some truth about a matter. Would you try to find out?" She questioned and I contemplated. I wasn't so sure about that. Cassandra paced the room, her mind filled with questions and possibilities. The mention of encountering mysteries with this vampire sparked her curiosity even further. I could feel what she was feeling, could hear what she was thinking. She couldn't help but wonder
JULIUS' POV I made my way under the tree branches and away from the sun, contemplating about could happen next and how possible I would be able to tackle it. The moon was out now and the weather caused me to breathe, but then I feared for Cassandra and her family. The doubts that suddenly threatened to consume me these days wasn't helping the situation at hand at all. Some times I just wished I would be ordinary, while living an ordinary life, with nobody's intervention into my affairs. Without having to worry every second of the day. I stared at the moon a little to long because without even knowing I'd stepped into another realm. This realm was one of power, magic, fortune, but absolute no peace or remorse from them. The funny thing was, I'd been introduced to something like this before by the moon goddess, and had no idea what it was that she was trying to show me. This camp...magic existed, power existed, fortune existed, but no remorse nor peace. Then something in my mind clicke
CASSANDRA'S POVThe pain shot through my bone, causing me to jerk. And even though Alder was here with me I just couldn't get any relief, the pain and heat was all over even worse than my heat. Alder brought me close to himself and even though I wanted to snap, his scent didn't permit me to, instead it made me calm.As Alder held me close, his strong arms enveloping me, I could feel the tension slowly starting to melt away. His comforting embrace seemed to create a protective barrier around me, shielding me from the unbearable pain that had engulfed my body. His head was buried in my neck and I couldn't help but moan at the feeling of his lips touching it. I pulled him closer, not wanting him to let go, not even for a moment, and that made me wonder if I was really in pain or in heat. I was perplexed but didn't really have the time to think about it because of the profound pain. Alder's presence alone was a soothing balm to my troubled mind. With every breath, his familiar scent, a b
CASSANDRA'S POV I paced the room whilst Cassandra kept staring at me with concern. My thoughts were running wild, mind was still unable to comprehend what was going to happen next. All I knew was that things were beginning to escalate. I was beginning to suspect Sabastian, he was definitely one of those who were after the necklace. I continued to contemplate, because I couldn't predict what could possibly happen next... "Perhaps there's a way around all of these. We can't keep sitting while there's something out there threatening to attack us." Cassandra said. "I was considering something...the vampires are yet to reveal themselves. Do you think there's something fishy about that?" "We all know that there's something tricky with them. They're cunning and wouldn't act upon their intentions unless the time is right." I stated. "Perhaps I can write the story." "No, you can't. I've written it already, so there's no need for that." Her words struck a chord with me. She was right; we
JULIUS' POV I squinted my eyes as I noticed a figure from the distance through the window. Perplexed, I didn't know we were expecting any visitors, or perhaps it was one of the members of the pack? As the figure got closer this house I noticed the familiarity of it and was caught by surprise at the revelation that dawned upon me. Morgana had really outdone herself, bringing the dead back to life, ascertaining that her intentions are being executed. The figure I was seeing was nobody else other than Kathrine, and my eyes automatically shifted to Sabastian's. It was intended, he had called her here, he had given her that permission. And from what I was witnessing, she had a flesh, no longer a shadow standing in the dark. Now she was the person she used to be before she died. And I knew what she wanted, I knew what she was after too. My necklace. I stumbled backwards slightly at the profound feeling of the shock that was about to overwhelm me. I didn't even have the time to focus on Sab
