Chapter Seventy

“Hey, you got to be kidding me right?" He asked with his eyes wide open.

I shook my head and placed my hands on the table.

We were currently at Eli's where I had earlier asked him to meet me. Maybe he could help me out in some areas, I don't really trust him.

“Here's your order.” Eli beamed placing down each what we both requested.

I flashed him a smile “Thank you.”

“Don't sweat it pretty.” he patted Josh on his shoulders and slithered back to his work.

“Is there something you aren't telling me ?” his voice came out low and hoarse forcing me to look back at him.

A throaty laugh bubbled out of my throat. “Do you feel like I'm hiding something from you?"

“Well... Not really, but all of a sudden you come to me asking for a layout of a bank. Not any bank but DFB.”

I took a quick glance around the cafe looking if anyone was paying attention to our conversation. Seeing none, I leaned over on the table pushing my cup of ice cappuccino aside.
