Bella's POV

After enjoying myself with Max, he finally dropped me home and the first thing that greeted me immediately after I got in was Kira with crossed arms and legs.

"Where have you been? She asked and I rolled my eyes.

"What I do with my life is none of your business, Kira," I said, kicking off my shoes and going into the house. "You were sent here to be with Peron not monitor my life."

As I began to drift into a restless sleep, I felt the fatigue pulling me under. The constant questions from Kira echoed in my mind, but I pushed them away, seeking refuge in the darkness of sleep.

The next morning, the soft rays of the rising sun crept through the curtains, gently coaxing me awake. The room was bathed in a warm, golden glow, and a peculiar scent lingered in the air. Instinctively, I turned my head, and my eyes met a sight that instantly dispelled the lingering shadows of the night.
