Chapter 130

Bella's POV

After giving my father a piece of my mind, I went to the balcony and saw Mom and Peron, laughing and smiling wholeheartedly, she was the only parent I had and no one would hurt her. Not while I'm alive.

When we arrived back in our house, exhaustion washed over us, and the comfort of our bed beckoned. We slipped under the covers, and sleep claimed us swiftly. The night passed peacefully, but my internal clock woke me earlier than usual.

The dim light of dawn filtered through the curtains as I quietly slipped out of bed, not wanting to disturb Peron's peaceful slumber.

In the kitchen, I found Kira, her movements swift and purposeful. Suspicion flickered in her eyes as she noticed my presence.

Just like she didn't like me, I didn't like her either. Is it the way she moves, talks, or brags about her degree? It makes me sick to the bone. Makes me feel like I didn't have a life. Just a little education.
