Peron's POV

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU LOST THE LEADS!" I yelled at my men. "Her birthday is in three days and you're telling me there's nothing you have on her parents? Nothing at all?" I yelled watching every one of them shiver in fear.

"We're doing everything we can, sir."

"It's not enough! I need to find them fast," I growled, pacing back and forth now as I thought of what to do.

My frustration reached its peak as I paced around the dimly lit room, the urgency of the situation weighing heavily on my shoulders. Isabelle's birthday loomed, and the absence of any leads on her parents gnawed at my every thought. The clock was ticking, and time seemed to slip through my fingers like fine sand.

Just then, my phone vibrated, startling me. I quickly retrieved it from my pocket, glancing at the caller ID. It was Elizabeth. With a mix of anticipation and desperation, I answered, "Elizabeth, I hope you have good news for me."
