Standing proud and indifferent, Thaddeus turned around and looked askance at Mona. He carried himself with insufferable arrogance.

“You should know what you’re here for.”

“I do.” Mona pulled out the divorce papers from a file and served them to Thaddeus. “Sign here.”

Thaddeus took a fleeting glance at the papers. Mona reflected her terms on the divorce papers, and all she asked for was full custody of the children.

“I can give you anything except for the children’s custody. Name your price.”

The big and strong man approached Mona, overcoming her with his intimidating build.

Aloofness and stubbornness were written all over Mona’s delicate face.

“I don’t want a penny of your money. The children are where I draw the line.”

The man reflected on his contempt. “You’re naïve. You have no money. How are you going to provide for the kids? You can’t provide for yourself, much less the kids.”
