Chapter 41: She Overthinks

Margarette's POV

Kayden and I reached the kitchen after a couple of minutes. Kate was still there and she even smile so widely upon seeing us. My blood just boiled because of her and I wanted to push her away but I shouldn't be rude to her.

“Kayden, I prepare your favorite foods!” She said and even pulled him to the table. I wasn't expecting that and I thought Kayden will push her away but he never did.

“You still remember my favorite foods?” He asked like he was mesmerized by Kate. I was left behind still standing where Kayden left me. Kate even turned her gaze in my direction and a playful smile curled on her lips like she was teasing me.
