Chapter - 7

Luis POV

It made me scoff when she hummed for my question. She is my mate. She gets affected by each word i say and not just that....My pheromones.

"Sarah"

She immediately shook her head, blinking at me as if she was lost for a second, she looked cute. Like a cute little kitten.

"Luis....I suggest you leave" She did say it from her mouth but I felt like she didn't mean it

"I will" I smiled "Is this your mom?" picking the frame from the table, I could see Sarah and this women look a lot similar not to mention that unique smile

"Yes" Sarah snatched the frame from my hand as she sat next to me "isn't she beautiful"

"Ofcourse she is. if not why would the girl beside me be this stunning?" I said only to receive a small chuckle from her

"Where is she? downstairs?" I asked excited to meet this beautiful women but Sarah's face immediately turned sad "She's upstairs"

"Upstairs? Is this double duplex house?"

She shook her head "Upstairs. with moon-goddess"

I felt a pang when I looked at a trail of tears that roll down her eyes "Sarah...." I couldn't bring myself to say anything. I wanted to pull her into my embrace and calm her down but...Will she be okay if I do so?

"She's no more" Another pearl like a tear slip down her face making my heart clutch

"Please don't cry" I said but that didn't help a little "Sarah" Screw her conditions. I grabbed her hand and pulled her into a hug "Don't cry. It's hurting to see tears in your eyes"

I could hear her chuckle but not sure why she did that but....I noticed her heart was beating fast.

She hugged me back, burning herself on my shoulders "Don't get the wrong idea. it's...it's just calming me"

I nodded "Yeah. Calm yourself as much as you want" I tapped softly on her back, calming her and trying to spread my pheromones.

"Luis...." I hear her soft broken voice "You know why I hate you?"

My wolf growled by hearing this but I ignored him and tried to concentrate on my mate "Why?"

"Because my dad is the reason why my mom left me" Saying this she moved from me and wiped her tears "My dad is an alpha. I know what an alpha rank is like"

"What do you mean? Your dad was the reason...."

"Leave Luis" She said out of nowhere.

"But...."

She stood, wiping her eyes and letting out a sigh "Please leave. My relatives are downstairs. I don't want them to kick me out coz I have no where to go"

I stood processing what she said "You...You don't live with your family? what about your dad?"

"I don't know. The last time I saw him was on my mom's funeral" She said with trembling hands

what actually happened when makes her hate an alpha so much?

"Ok....I'll leave" I said but my heart didn't want to leave her here. not when she was going through the pain of missing her mother "Um...Sarah" I called as she looked at me

"How about.....you take me as your friend. No mate. No ranks. Just a normal friend whom you can lean on. I promise I'll never bring my rank or us being mate again" I said with a tough heart. I know it'll break me from inside but I can't leave my mate suffering like this.

"Friends?"

I nodded "Just friends and nothing more"

"You promise..." She sounded excited.

"Yes I promise"

Aery's POV

"Dad do you want some more?" I streched the rice towards him only to receive a glare "I'm sorry....I just...."

"I've had enough" He said harshly pushing the plate and got up

It's already 11:40pm. He always comes home late and tomorrow was my birthday. I don't want to have a sore eyes with dark circles.

I quickly started to clean the dinning table, placing ths dirty plates inside the sink and was about to walk Upstairs but paused when I heard a knock at the entrance.

It was already past 11:50...who is it this late?

I walked towards the main door and was about to open but heard another harsh knock

"Wait" I heard my dad say. I moved from the door, allowing my dad to walk past me

He grabbed the knob and opened the door but what I saw made my jaw drop on floor. It was George.

"Who are you? what do you want?" My dad asked in his alpha tone

"I want your daughter" His tone was firm. he wasn't scared a single bit

I gulped looking at him 'Please leave' I mouthed

"What did you say?" My dad asked not sure if he heard it right

"I said I want your daughter" George stepped closer to my dad "Why? Are you deaf old man? want me to scream?"

My dad's pheromones, I could feel his anger

"Dad..." I barely whispered

"I said...." George looked at me "I WANT YOUR DAUGHTER OLD MA...." Before he completed his head tilted to his left as my dad placed a harsh punch on his face

I gasped covering my mouth. This is bad! An alpha and a true blood.

"George clam down" I looked at a man who grabbed George "Let's go. this isn't appropriate"

"Let go Mr.Han" George said as his eyes turned dark red, he looked at my had and smirked "What's wrong if I said I want your daughter?"

My dad was about to punch him again but was stopped by George "What's wrong if I want my mate?"

'Ma...Mate?' I gulped lowering my head. This isn't right. Dad will hate me. he'll think I seduced an alpha who isn't my mate.

what am I supposed to do? How will I...'Argh!' I felt a harsh pain rush through my heart

I clunched chest, feeling the worst pain ever. Is it because I'm turning 18?

"Aery!" I heard George's faint voice and it I felt.....a strong pheromones that I never smelt before.

A scent of buring flame and a hint of roses, the scent was unique. So unique that made me drool.

I looked at George who pushed my dad and ran towards me "Aery..." He grabbed me as I was about to fall on the ground, Placing me on his thighs, he smiled looking at me "What excuse do you give now? You're my fated mate Aery"

I gulped looking at his dark glowing golden eyes, those were beautiful, an eyes of a true blood.

I smiled raising my hand and placed them on his cheeks, My chest moving up and down, breaths becoming heavy, heart beating fast and sweat dripping down.

I wanted him. I wanted him to claim me. Yes. I want him.

"Alpha...." I barely whispered. None of my surroundings mattered. Not my father nor the man standing at the door step. All I wanted was to bury myself under his gaze.

"Mark me"

This is all I remember when I felt my flesh tear apart and a warm liquid started to flow down my collar bone.

I felt an electric pass through my body and mind that went completely blank.

I didn't get a chance to shift but I'm sure....I was claimed by him.
