Interrupted

Reina's POV

“You seem lost in thought?” I couldn't help but ask out loud.

It wasn't clear to me why I sensed this discomfort, but it seemed to me like he wasn't happy with how things had turned out. Or was I just thinking too much?

A smile illuminated his face. A fake one, before he drew me closer, with a hand around my waist. His eyes danced softly when they came in contact with the soft lighting in the room, and all I wanted to do was run my hands through his hair, which I did. “ Why do you think something is wrong?”
