Chased off

Richard's POV

With hands fisted, I leaned against the door, waiting to hear a plea from Reina ordering them out, and I was going to storm in, just so that I could make her wish happen.

“ Reina please” Nina was almost in tears as she pleaded to be heard out. “ I messed up, but this isn't the best way to do this, you can't just cut us off “

A loud chuckle bounced off the wall,” Leave, I will come for my kids and that will be it”.

This was a side of Reina I haven't seen before, she was cutting off everyone because of me, for me.

I swallowed, the silence dragging on as I waited for anyone to say something, but they didn't. “ Fine, we should give her some time,” her father said for the first time.

The shuffling of feet across the room made me tense up a bit before I walked in. “Richard," her words came off in a whisper.

I stood transfixed to the spot, my arms wrapped gently around her as she leaned gently against me.

“ You will be fine” my hands smoothened her back as her body rocked
