Alpha Jacob’s POV

Standing outside Claire and Mike’s bedroom door, I couldn’t shake the conflicting emotions within me. My instincts begged me to step into the room, to be with the two most important people in my life, and to safeguard them, even if my home was secure.

The urge to wrap them both in my arms, to shield them from any potential danger, tugged at my heartstrings. But beneath that longing lay a deep sense of dread, a fear of the danger they might face if they stayed with me.

I paced back and forth outside the door, my mind racing with worry and uncertainty. Every fiber of my being screamed for me to stay away, to keep them safe by maintaining a distance. Yet, the pull of their presence was irresistible.

With a heavy sigh, I hovered my hand over the handle, torn between my desire to be with them and my duty to protect them.

I prayed every day that the moon goddess would remove her curse.

Regret gnawed at my soul as I recalled the day I had listened to my parent and reje

I moved through the bustling pack's grounds, a smile playing on my lips as I exchanged greetings with various pack members who hailed me as their Luna. Despite the warm welcomes and sense of belonging that surrounded me, my thoughts of them, wondering where they might be. The longing to see them again lingered within me, even though I had seen them mere hours ago. I had made breakfast for the two hoping they would already come back but unfortunately, they haven’t. Mike must be hungry. I craved the familiar comfort of Mike’s laughter and the reassuring presence of Alpha Jacob by my side. My mind drifted back to the dream, replaying the vivid scenes of passion with Alpha Jacob. I shook my head, trying to shake off the images. There was no way I would allow him to have such control over me, to dominate my desires like that. But despite my efforts to push the thoughts away, I couldn’t ignore the rush pooling at my core. It was already affecting me, stirring up desires I didn’t want

Lost in thought, I found myself standing in the kitchen, my mind consumed by the events that had unfolded earlier in the day. The memory of Alpha Peter stepping in to stop Alpha Jacob from marking me lingered in my mind. Relief flooded through me as Alpha Jacob was stopped before he could mark me, but it was quickly overshadowed by concern for him. I couldn’t bear to see him hurt, and there was a longing inside me to help him, to ease whatever pain he was feeling. In an attempt to restrain him, Alpha Peter and a few other pack warriors hurried forward but Alpha Jacob’s strength was almost second to which was astonishing to see. I thought he was weak along with his pack. Alpha Jacob marking me stirred a complex mix of emotions within me. While part of me felt a primal urge to submit to him completely, another part of me struggled with the idea of surrendering myself so completely to his dominance. I shook my head, attempting to chase away the thoughts that were threatening to overw

I rushed to his side, my hands trembling as I reached out to him, desperate to offer whatever comfort I could. “Alpha Jacob,” I whispered, my voice barely above a calm tone and I knelt beside him, taking in the extent of his injuries with growing horror. Shock and horror shot through me as I witnessed the transformation happen right before my eyes as I stared into Alpha Jacob’s. His eyes turned a deep scarlet red, his teeth growing into sharp points, and his formerly normal look took on a ferocious aggression. I stumbled back in horror as Alpha Jacob strained against the silver cuffs, his muscles bulging with the effort as he fought to break free. Blood seeped from the cuts where the cuffs dug into his skin, leaving angry marks that served as a painful reminder of his captivity. “Claire, go,” Alpha Jacob growled, his voice low and menacing as he struggled against his restraints. “Don’t come back.” His words hit me like a dagger to the heart, the pain of his rejection cutting de

“No, Claire,” he said with a hard glance. “You won’t be forced to do anything you don’t want to. You would have mated with Alpha Jacob already if you had truly accepted him as your mate.” “Take her away,” with a swift order, he directed the pack warriors to take me away, his decision final and absolute even before I could voice my protest. I felt a wave of despair come over me as the pack warriors started to carry me away, and I had to protest. “Wait! Let me go! You can’t do this to me?!” I pleaded. But my pleas went unheard, overpowered by the soldiers’ unflinching steps as they carried away from my mate’s cell. I wish the moon goddess had blessed me with strength. Just as I was struggling, I heard a voice that caught my attention. I glanced over and saw Sonya striding by, her face filled with confidence and mockery as she took in the scene before her. “Pathetic, as always,” she remarked, her tone dripping with amusement. “No wonder the pack warriors take orders from you. I barged into the oracle's bedroom, my eyes glaring at her, she must’ve seen this coming yet said nothing to me. “You knew,” I spat, my words dripping with venom. “You knew what would happen to my mate, and you said nothing!” I lashed out at her. Paige laughed a bitter echo of mockery that only fueled my rage. “Of course, I knew,” she replied, “I warned you, Claire. I told you that the moon goddess would not take kindly to your interference.” “And yet you said nothing,” I seethed, my voice trembling with anger. “You let him suffer, you let him suffer, you let him be taken from me, and you did nothing to stop it!” “I will not abandon him,” I declared, “No matter what trials we face, we will face them together. I have decided to be there for my mate.” I repeated to her once again. The oracle’s lips curved into a sardonic smile, her eyes gleaming,” And how is that working out for you so far?” Paige taunted, her voice a bitter. “Why did you come here in the first place?” I asked, cur

I’m sure you also miss being at your pack. Instead of waiting for rogues to enter and attack our pack, I’ll go and seek them out wherever they’re hiding.” Alpha Peter’s gaze narrowed, his voice skeptical. “And what of Claire?” he pressed, “Are you avoiding her because of your fear that your wolf will act impulsively, so you’re avoiding her?” “Rogues attacking my pack demand immediate attention, Alpha Peter. I won’t let anything jeopardize their safety.” I told him. “Ignoring your mate and your son isn’t the solution, Alpha Jacob. They are part of you. You didn’t do right by them in the past and you’re still not doing right by them now.” “You’ve seen what my wolf would do if he came into contact with Claire,” I growled, “He would harm her, Alpha Peter. I won’t let that happen to her.” “You need to co

Deep in my chest, I felt a twinge of sadness as Mike snuggled closer to me, his small form quivering with the burden of missing his father, Alpha Jacob. It’s been four days now. I could feel that he was alive which was a plus I might be the one that ends up taking his life! Daniel was sitting close by, his presence providing a small friendly comfort amid Jacob’s sudden disappearance. However, his support was unable to compensate for Jacob’s absence. I had tons of emotions when Alpha Peter arrived. A part of me was appreciative he was here, thinking he could know where Alpha Jacob was. However, there was a part of me that harbored animosity towards him for stopping Alpha Jacob from marking me as his mate and stopping this whole dilemma. “Claire.” I was suddenly taken aback by Alpha Peter as he made his way inside. I faked a smile as I welcomed Alpha Peter, trying to hide the inner distress that was screaming within me. His reluctant attitude made me even more irritated. “Daniel,

Alpha Jacob’s POV As I led my pack warriors through the dense forest, my thoughts were consumed by an overwhelming desire for Claire and my son. With every step, and every rustle of the leaves, my mind drifted to images of her, her scent lingering in my senses, driving me wild with longing. My thoughts were completely absorbed by my desire to be with Claire, to feel her skin against mine, and to lose myself in her thighs, even though our mission to find rogues was urgent. There was an intense, almost painful, primal yearning coursing through my veins to take her, to make her mine. As we ventured deeper into the forest, our senses alert for any sign of rogue activity, we suddenly came across a group of five rogues lurking in the shadow. Without hesitation, I signaled to my pack warrior to prepare for an attack. With a fierce growl, I launched myself at the rogues, my movements swift and calculated. The element of surprise was on our side as we caught them off guard, our coordinate

I looked down at my precious newborn twins, my heart swelling with fierce maternal love. Both Ethan and Aiden looked just like their father as with Mike. I felt a pang of jealousy seeing that I carried them for so long only for them to look like a replica of their father. Nonetheless, they were my bundle of joy. Aiden’s tiny rosebud lips twitched adorably as if he were dreaming of nursing. Before I could decide if he needed to eat, Jacob had already scooped him up. “He needs to eat,” my mate said, in that deep, authoritative voice that never failed to shiver me. I quirked an eyebrow at him, knowing fully well why he was so insistent. “Let the poor thing sleep a while longer,” I replied, trying and failing to sound nonchalant. We both knew Jacob loved few things more than watching me breastfeed our children. To him, it was primal more than mere nourishment. The act awakened an unmistakable hunger in his eyes that set my skin tingling with awareness. Sure enough, when Jacob placed A

Our perfect little miracles.” “Easy for you to say,” I spat, leaning back against the propped clinic bed. “You don’t have to push two tiny werewolves out of your body!” As if on cue, another crushing contraction seized me. I clutched at the sheets, a feral cry of agony tearing from my throat. It had been a full day since our forces arrived back at the pack’s territory, battered but victorious after the brutal confrontation with Alpha Damian’s rogues and packs. I stood beside Jacob as he addressed our assembled warriors and allies from Alpha Peter’s pack. My gaze drifted to Jacob, taking in the quiet power exuding from his stance. In his arms, he cradled Mike, our son squirming happily against his father’s chest. Jacob seemed to follow my train of thought. His eyes found mine for a lingering moment as he bounced Mike gently. Jacob stepped forward, Mike cradled securely in the crook of his arm. A hush fell over the assembled warriors as he raised his free hand for silence. When he spoke, he carried clearly across the crowd. “Today we bask in the glory of a triumph that was dearly bought.” His expression was ceremonious. “We have shed blood and lost zero souls because of our Luna and Nadia, the white witch, in defense of our home.” “But because of your unflinching dedica

Around us, the sounds of war seemed to fade into insignificance. There was only my world shattered into fragments, and Mia’s loathsome presence desecrating my anguish. But I needed to pay attention to my mate, just as I gathered my strength my strength to pour life into Jacob’s wolf form, the cold muzzle of a gun pressed against my temple-Mia’s hand holding the weapon steady. “Drop the corpse and step away from it, dear sister,” she hissed venomously. My heart shattered once more, but I carefully laid Jacob's body back on the blood-soaked ground and stood. Tears streamed down my cheeks as I met Mia’s cruel gaze. “Why are you doing this?” I asked, feeling pissed and angry. “Haven’t you already accomplished ruining me in the past?” Mia threw back her head in a fit of wicked laughter. “Are you sure about this, Nadia?” I asked the white witch hesitantly. “Jacob was adamant I stay away from the war.” Nadia fixed me with her piercing gaze. “Your mate needs you, Claire. I would not go against his wishes if the situation were not dire.” My chest tightened with dread and concern for Jacob, but I was determined. He had forbidden me from joining the battle, convinced I would be safer here. Yet Nadia’s solemn words rang with the weight of truth. Taking a steadying breath, I met Nadia’s eyes squarely. “I’m ready then. More than ready to help my mate and pack win this war.” I flexed my fingers, calling on the magic thrumming through my veins. “But how will we reach the battlefield undetected?” A mysterious smile curved Nadia’s lips. “The same way I managed to slip Paige out of Damian’s grasp when she required my assistance in escaping.” If they were overwhelmed, my power could turn the tide. Nadia right-my place was by their side, consequences be damned. “Let’s go,” I sta

  • Chasing his rejected mate   Chapter 67: The war part 1

Alpha Jacob’s POV I stood resolute beside Alpha Peter as our pack gathered around us. The warriors were clad for battle. We would eradicate this threat once and for all. My jaw clenched grimly. I had no qualms about the violence to come-it was necessary to keep our loved ones safe. My thoughts stayed with Claire and our son. Thanks to the powerful shield Claire had erected, no non-pack members could enter our territory. It would protect them absolutely from being caught up in the impending war. I was determined that Claire would remain behind this shield, no matter how capable she was. I didn’t want her anywhere near the carnage to come. Though her power could likely end the conflict swiftly, the risk was too great. No, I would ensure Claire and our child remained untouched by the battle, safe within the pack. My wolf snarled at the thought of them being endangered. There was a change of plans, we would leave tonight, and it would take at least three days to reach our destination.

I watched from the sidelines, a sleeping Mike bundled against my chest, as Jacob and Alpha Peter went over strategies with the warriors for tomorrow’s battle. My heart clenched just thinking of my mate leading the pack into war for the first time. What if I lost him out there? The thought caused my breath to hitch. I pulled Mike closer, cradling my still-flat stomach with my free hand. Our twins were newly conceived, just starting to take shape inside me. What if I lost them too? He must have sensed my distress because Jacob looked up and met my worried gaze from across the field. Leaving the strategy session, he quickly crossed over to the field until he stood before me. His palm cupped my cheek. “I will return to you, my Luna,” he murmured intensely. His eyes flickered down to my abdomen before looking back at mine. “All of you. Have faith.” I managed a small nod, leaning into his touch. Though I trusted his strength, the fear still gnawed sharply with our growing family at sta

I took a deep, steadying breath as I watched Mike playing contentedly in the living area of our den, a small, fond smile tugged at the corners of my mouth as Mike let out a bright peal of laughter. “Mike? Can you come here for a moment, my sunshine? Mama has something important to share with you.” I patted the space next to me, unable to stop my smile from widening as Mike immediately snuggled against my side. I dropped a tender kiss on Mike’s forehead. He hummed contentedly at my touch, those striking emerald eyes watching me with rapt attention. “Did I do something Mumma?” he asked suddenly, small brow furrowing adorably. “No, my little star, you’re not in any trouble this time,” I assured him. With a smile, I cradled my son close and murmured, “How would you feel about becoming a big brother, my heart? Because very soon… you’re going to have a new baby sibling.” It took a heartbeat for Mike’s eyes to go wide in realization. Then, before I could even register his reaction furt
