Chapter 42: Unexpected Heat.

Deep in my chest, I felt a twinge of sadness as Mike snuggled closer to me, his small form quivering with the burden of missing his father, Alpha Jacob. It’s been four days now.

I could feel that he was alive which was a plus I might be the one that ends up taking his life!
