I don’t like Atlas’s new head of security, I couldn’t tell you what about him set me off but there was something about him that was just off to me. You could guess, I was not happy when we entered Atlas’s office and he was there. I don’t know if it was only me but what he said sounded like a bullshit excuse to me. And right now, I wasn’t sure if my mistrust for him was all me or if it was a reflection of seen of Atlas’s emotions too. It was a little hard differentiating what I was feeling and what he was feeling. Because our emotions were pretty much one.

I wasn’t surprised when he pulled me aside as soon as we stepped out. His hands cupping my cheeks, he stares down at me. His eyes pure and vulnerable. I have never felt this connected to any human being before.

“Are you okay?” He asked softly, his thumb stroking my cheek softly.

I wish we could sit exist here alone, the two of us. Not having to worry about anyone or anything.

“Yes,” I tried to smile because he was looking worrie
