Hospital

“I didn't touch her, I swear. She was the one who threw herself down the stairs” Scarlett briefly explained when she spun around and saw Liam standing behind her with hardened eyes.

Instead of replying to her, Liam shoved her out of the way and raced down to where a now bleeding Olivia was. Scarlett stumbled from the force of his push and would have fallen to the found had it not been for Willow, who caught her.

Scarlett watched from the top of the stairs as Liam gathered Olivia into the arms he always used to hug her in the past.

“You better pray to God that nothing happens to both her and my child” Liam told her before rushing out of the pack house.

Scarlett froze, and her mouth dropped open in shock at Liam's words. When Olivia told her that she was pregnant with Liam's child, she thought it was a lie. Liam couldn't have cheated on her, but hearing it from his mouth now, she knew that it was true.

She collapsed to the ground as hot tears filled her eyes. She suddenly felt like she had been living a lie. How did everything suddenly take an U-turn? This wasn't how it was supposed to be.

Willow knelt down and grabbed her shoulders, “Scarlett I don't think you should be crying right now because he is with Olivia. I think you should be praying that Olivia doesn't lose her child” 

Scarlett's eyes widened exasperatedly," I should be praying that she doesn't lose her child?” She asked incredulously," I will be the happiest woman alive if both she and her child dies”

Willow shook Scarlett with wide eyes, “you don't mean that, Scarlett. That's not just Olivia's child, but also the alpha's child and heir. The pack might not like Olivia, but they will turn against you if they were to find out that you killed the Alpha's child, and I think that's what Olivia wants. She purposely threw herself off the stairs because she knows that the people want you to be Luna and not her”

Scarlett's eyes popped open as the full impact of what Willow had just said hit her, knocking the breath out of her. Olivia truly planned everything. She must have seen Liam coming from behind her. If not, why had she suddenly pretended like Scarlett was going to attack her and throw herself off the stairs. Olivia was truly vicious. She didn't even consider her child before doing what she did. Olivia really wanted the position of Liam's Luna and the people's support so bad. 

Scarlett scrambled to her feet, “we need to find Liam now. I need to make him understand that I did not push Olivia down. She fell by herself because she wanted to use it to rope me in"

Willow watched Scarlett rush out with sadness in her eyes. Scarlett was a good person, but Olivia was not. She was scheming and manipulative. For her to have done what she just did: throwing herself down the stairs, Willow would not be surprised if she also lost her and Liam's child. 

She gathered herself together and ran after Scarlett. She knew that Scarlett must have gone to the pack's hospital. When she got to the hospital, she stopped at the door of the visitor's waiting room when her eyes fell on a crying Scarlett who was pressed to the wall by Liam who glaring down at her.

“You didn't touch her, yet she fell down the stairs, huh? Do I look stupid to you?” 

“ I didn't touch her. This is all her plan to make me look bad. How many years have you known me, Liam? Do you think I will push anyone down the stairs? It's a fucking stair we are talking about, Liam!” Scarlett cried furiously. She had run after Liam, hoping to explain everything to him, but before she could say a word, he grabbed her and shoved her against the wall with his hand curled around her throat in a tight grip.

She saw him deflect and his hold on her neck loosen for just a split second before it tightened again and his eyes hardened.

“You surely would, of course. You would do it because I chose her over you, Scarlett. It wasn't my fault that you couldn't get your wolf, nor was it the fault of my innocent child. You should have stayed in whatever hole you crawled into after I rejected you that night. You better pray that Olivia and my baby are alright” Liam spat the words before releasing her and walking away.

Scarlett slid down the wall to a heap on the floor as she watched him leave. She did not have more tears in her eyes to cry out. No matter what she said, Liam wouldn't believe her. It was almost like they had turned stranger's in the space of three days, and it was all because of her. All because she couldn't get her wolf. It was all the moon goddess's fault. If only the moon goddess gave her a wolf, all this wouldn't be happening. She and Liam would still be so much in love, and she would have been crowned as his Luna by now.

After some time, Scarlett stood up and began to walk home like a zombie. She could hear the pack members whispering as she walked past, but she couldn't hear what they were saying. Scarlett knew that the news must have spread around from the hospital nurses about how she tried to kill Olivia and the Alpha's child, as the looks she received were not the friendly one she was used to.

“Scarlett, what have you done?!” Aaron yelled when Scarlett got home. 

“ I did nothing, father” Scarlett replied as she walked past him to her room

“What's going on, Willow? How did Scarlett push Olivia down the stairs?" Aaron turned to Willow when it looked as if he wouldn't be getting any response from Scarlett.

“She didn't touch Olivia. Olivia….” Willow went on to explain everything that happened and when she was done, Aaron's face was white with fear.

“Oh moon goddess, why is this happening to me?” Aaron cried as he collapsed on a sofa in his living room and Willow went to console him.

 Approximately an hour later, there was a loud knock on the door and Aaron went to open it. Three men who worked as Liam's bodyguards were standing outside.

Aaron was surprised to see them. He forced a smile on his face, “Hello, gentle….” Aaron started, but was rudely interrupted.

“Where is Scarlett? The alpha needs her in his throne room now”

“ She is inside her room and…”

Aaron was rudely shoved aside by the men, who immediately rushed into the house to find Scarlett.

“What do you think you are doing?” Aaron yelled angrily as he turned and ran after them, but they had already found Scarlett's room.

“Leave me alone. Don't you dare lay your hands on me!!” Scarlett yelled. She had been crying in her room since she got back from the hospital. She was surprised when these three men she now recognized as Liam's men barged into her room and hurled her up from the bed.

“The alpha needs you in his throne room now” they ignored her protest and dragged her outside.

“I can walk by myself. Let me go!!”

They ignored her screams and continued to drag her with them. Even Aaron could not stop them. People from the pack came outside to watch as Scarlett was dragged to the pack house, and girls who also wanted to be Luna were glad to see her in this condition. Most of the pack members who wanted to see what was going on ran after them.

“What's going on, Alpha? What is the meaning of this?” Asked Liam when they got to his throne room and Scarlett was thrown at his feet. He had his back towards them and they could not see his face.
