How is Jannet and Sky's relationship for you all?
JANNET’S POVOnce we stepped out of the train station, I followed Sky to a secluded tunnel in the village that was dark and as shady as it could get. It would have been the perfect spot for plotting a crime. My eyes fell on the delinquents who were sitting on one side of the tunnel, blowing a joint or maybe a cigarette. They all looked in our direction and my face turned a little pale when I saw how scary they looked. One of them had electric blue hair that was spiked up and another one had tattoos inked on his entire face and bald head.“Hey! You can’t pass from here.” the blue spike delinquent said and I gulped the lump in my throat.Sky did not say anything and looked past his shoulder, “Follow me.” he said and the way he looked, I knew he was not joking. I wish he joked right now because my legs felt frozen at the spot.I watched his broad back move forward until the delinquents stopped his way. The blue spike hair seemed to be their gang leader and he was the one standing face-to-
JANNET’S POV I screamed at the sight of a pair of eyes staring at me. Sky flashed the flame on the eyes and I realized it was a stone statue. Oh, so I was screaming in fear a non-living thing? But it looked scary. I narrowed my eyes to adjust my vision around the statue that looked like a monster with bat like wings. It had long, sharp teeth carved out of the stone, which it was showing with fierce look on its face. “Omg, what is that? I mean, I know what is that. But why is that here?” I looked at Sky, whose half-face was veiled under a shadow. He had a sharp jawline that looked no less than a sculpture in itself. Sky stared at the statue in silence before saying, “Its because this place is special.” I placed a hand on my chest to calm my breath, “Huh?” The flame flickered and the intensity of lower turned dimmer. I looked back at the statue and saw something beneath its feet. “I think I saw some wood there. Wait, let me get it.” I approached the statue. “Jannet, wait!” Sky sai
JANNET’S POV“What was that?” I asked, my voice breathier and Sky stiffened at his spot.“Its the spirits of the Hollow Hills. The dead.” he said and my blood ran cold in fear.As said, I black smoke shaped into small bodies flow towards us. There were five of them and they made a crying sound, as if in huge pain. Sky gritted his teeth as they floated in front of the temple doors.“Fuck!” he cursed and I tried to think of some way to get out of this.Sky turned around and started to run in the opposite direction. “Is there a way to get rid of these?” I asked as he carried me with him.“No, the ghosts are not powerful, but they can obstruct us from moving forward. They want to posses our bodies to live once again. They won’t stop until they posses one of us.” he explained and I pursed my lips.Posses one of us…“Let me distract them then,” I said and he looked at me in shock.“What? No!”I pleaded, “There is no other way. They won’t let us get out of the temple without possessing one o
JANNET’S POVComing out of Hollow Hills wasn’t a difficult task, since Sky carried me all the way back to Mudwest, which was through the portal in the tunnel. When we stepped out of the tunnel, Sky pushed me against one wall and pinned my hands. My breath caught in my throat when I looked into his piercing blue eyes staring back at me, “You could have been in more danger by pulling that stunt out there,” he said, a no-nonsense-look on his face, which was pretty contradictory what he usually appeared like.I gave him a sheepish smile, “I thought it would be a good idea. And the ghosts did not step inside the hole once I jumped into it.” I said and he narrowed his eyes at me.“I left you for five minutes and you do stuff like this. It seems…” he inched closer to my face and his nose brushed my lower lip, “that I should be at your side all the time.”Heat rose to my face and I pulled my chin up, allowing him to lock his lips with mine. His tongue entered my mouth and the sense of him tas
I walked over to the bed, taking each step carefully. Sky leaned against the wall with a nonchalant look, but Dominic did not look fine. His eyes were blazing red and he lunged on me the moment I was at the edge of the bed.I yelped and had no time to turn away as he pulled me by the waist and placed me on the bed. His lips descended on mine and I felt his tongue tasting my mouth. I moaned under the spell of his kiss.“Bleh, gross. Get a room.” Sky said and Dominic broke the kiss. He looked past his shoulder.“This is my room. Now get out.” he said and Sky shrugged. He held Jannet’s hand and she waved at me with a smile before stepping out of the room. The doors closed behind them automatically and I looked back at him.He was staring down with the intensity that made my cheeks turn red every single time. I traced his chiseled jawline with my fingers, “How do you feel now?” my voice was a soft whisper and he buried his face on the crook of my neck.“Turned on by you,” he said in his h
“No,” Dominic said, his word clear and straight. “Tell your monkeys to move the car to the side and stop following us. Or else the consequences won’t be pleasant.”Natalie stared back at Dominic with a look that was hard for me to read. Her eyes looked so fragile, devoid of life. I wondered what happened to her that she was in this condition.“It won’t take much time, I promise,” her voice was soft and my brows furrowed. What was she trying to get at?“Why are you even following us?” I asked and she slowly looked towards me.“I want to know where you kept Sam.”Huh?Dominic raised a brow while I was beyond confused. She joined her hands in front of me, “Please, let him go. I’ll do whatever you ask me to.”I opened my mouth but then Dominic spoke before me, “When was the last time you saw him?”She blinked thoughtfully, “I think two weeks ago.”Dominic’s gaze hardened on her, “So you have been keeping contact with him when you know that he is shunned from the pack.”Natalie bit her low
Dominic’s eyes turned red and Aisel raised his finger, “I am here to talk. That’s all.” he gave us a Cheshire-cat grin. Even though the man looked quite old and harmless, I could feel warning signs ringing inside my head from his presence.“You better don’t try anything or I will rip you into shreds,” Dominic growled and I could hear Asphalt’s voice mixed into his. Was Asphalt alarmed by this man too?Aisel’s smile did not falter, “As I mentioned earlier, I am just here to talk.”“Why did you kill Dante?” I asked and he turned towards me. He was the only chance I had in learning witchcraft. Malphus was a good help, but not enough to fight uncalled situations like these.“I believe you know the answer already, my lady,” he said and my brows shot up.My lady?He placed his hand inside his suit and pulled out a handkerchief. He dabbed his face with it, “You see, I am just a simple butler, running all the errands for my Master.”Dominic narrowed his eyes into slits, “Who the fuck is that?”
SKYLAR’S POV“Jannet!” I shouted to call out her name, but there was no response. Concerned trickled down my spine as I ran forward through the corridor. The sound of pack fighting came from outside. He didn’t warn me about this. Damn that old man to hell! Now I couldn’t find Jannet. She was supposed to be in Dominic’s room. That’s where I told her to stay when I sensed Mathews from a distance. The sudden attack wasn’t an issue because Dominic had already trained the pack well and we had an upper hand when it came to strength, despite Mathews having more wolves than us. I realized why Dominic always said that the quality of the wolves mattered more. But I should have sensed Mathew’s real intentions. Despite not being up to Dominic’s level, Mathews was cunning and the best when it came to making war strategies. That was his trick of winning and I always lost to that when he challenged me.He knew everything about his enemies.“Jannet!” I shouted again but she was no where.Shit!I woul
SKY’S POV We had a funeral for Aisel after he… I blinked back the tears as I stared at the garden through the window. I hadn’t expected him to go away like that. If I had known, my words would have been different. I wanted to say I loved him and missed him and I forgive him. “Sky,” I smelled hot chocolate and turned behind to find my white chocolate holding a cup in her hand. She extended the cup towards me, the hot fumes touching my soaked cheeks. “Thanks lovely.” I said and took a sip from the cup. It tasted heavenly. Jannet was amazing at making hot chocolate and I was a fan of hot chocolate now. She took a seat beside me and rubbed my shoulder, “Wanna talk about it?” She had given me some space after dad passed away and told me she was here to talk if I wanted to. I couldn’t ask for a more understanding mate. It was her maturity which influenced me to a great extent and Silver had told me how he I was slowly changing into a more responsible man. Was I? I didn’t know. But I wa
JANNET’S POVDuring the wedding celebrations, I felt Sky’s constant gaze on me. I slowly looked at him and was met with his blue eyes eye-fucking me. If his gaze could burn clothes, I would have been naked by now.Avery danced with the Alpha and Sky walked towards me. He looked hot in a black blazer over his black turtle-neck top. He leaned down and whispered, “I should have paid the priest to get us married here too.”I blushed and tugged the ends of his blazer to straighten it. His face hardened a little, “I will be waiting for you outside the gates once the party is over.”“Okay.” I was excited to meet him. After Avery finished her dance with the Alpha, one of the warriors played Shape of You and a lot of them joined the dance floor, showing off their moves.Avery ran over to me and pulled me in a hug. She had freed her legs from the heels and was bare feet. “Goddess, they hurt.” She said and I wrapped an arm around her shoulder, watching everyone dance to the beats.“You wanna dan

AVERY’S POV I couldn’t move, I was too tired. Before my eyes closed, the last I remembered was the doctors pulling out the baby. I wanted to smile and get a look, but my vision was blurry. When I fluttered my eyes open, I was resting on a hospital bed. In the corner of the room, I saw Dominic leaning against the wall. His eyes looked puffy and red as if he had cried before this. What happened? “The baby!” I sat up and an excruciating pain shot through my back. Dominic came to my side and made me lean back on the bed. I looked at him, “Dom…the baby…” “Hush, calm down. You just woke up. Take some rest.” his eyes held no expression, they were blank. Why was he behaving like this? His behavior scared me. There was a certain emptiness in my heart that I couldn’t comprehend. “Dom. Where is the baby?” I asked, the impatience clear in my voice. I just wanted to see my child. Was that too much to ask? Dominic did not respond and turned his back on me. He approached a crib on the other
DOMINIC’S POVAvery slowly sat on my lap and wrapped her arms around my neck. She looked nervous.“And smells different.” Asphalt added.I frowned and pulled her closer to me, sniffing her neck. She had a soft tint of rose on her cheeks while I sniffed her. She indeed smelt different. It was not a perfume, it was her natural scent mixed with something…strange.“Dom, what are you doing?” she asked, the nervousness not lifting from her face. I could hear her heartbeat pacing, feeling her stress crawl through my skin. As mates, we could feel each other’s emotions. But why was she so nervous?“Did any of those bitches stir any problem in the coven?” I asked, my face hardened. Avery ran her own coven with thousands of witches under it. Some of them were not very trustworthy, so I always stayed alert. She shook her head and my frown deepened. Then what was the problem?Sean walked in and bowed his head, “Luna, two wolves have initiated a brawl in the fighting grounds and it is hard to stop
DOMINIC’S POV “Stay calm, Alpha. Repeat with me. Breathe in, breathe out.” Sky’s annoying voice buzzed in my ears like those mosquitoes you want to squash with your hands. I wanted to do the same. But he wouldn’t die and whine later like the child he was. I shot him a deadly glare and he retreated, knowing well my anger was at its limit. It had been fucking four hours since I saw her. When I woke up in the morning, I expected her to be beside me, lying naked, but she wasn’t. That’s when I learned she was stolen by her best friend for the wedding. I didn’t understand the hype of wasting so much time on make-up and shit. I would have married her if she walked down the aisle in her pink pajamas. She was beautiful to me, no matter what the circumstance. “I would have liked her to wear no clothes,” Asphalt chuckled and a sinful smirk lifted the corner of my lips. No clothes were better. But it was reserved for us. “Right. How long?” he growled and I looked at my Rolex. “How long, Sky
I breathed a sigh of concern and stared at my eyebags reflecting in the mirror. I was so excited for this day, and Dominic wasn’t feeling sleepy either. So…we kind of spent the night making love to each other. I only got two hours of sleep after that.Jannet was standing right behind, her hands on her hips, disappointment clear on her face, “Which part of a beauty sleep consisted of having sex with your man last night?”I gave her a sheepish smile, “It's good excercise. I slept like a log after that. You should try it too.” I got a smack on my arm in response from her. There was a knock at the door. Jannet answered it and didn’t let me see who it was. I didn’t need to. I could feel them outside the door.“With due respect, Alpha Dark. We agreed on you not seeing her before the wedding,” she said, her voice a little shaky.“Fuck the agreement. I can’t wait this long,” he said and a grin shaped my lips. It was fun to torture him, though I missed him too. I might get punished later for i
AVERY’S POV It all made sense now. Asphalt and I were bound together. But the strange thing was, it was because of my past self’s love for him. In this life, I was scared of both of them and they chased me but in the past, I was the one chasing after them. Aisel was right. There were certain things we would never understand. I smiled at Asphalt who look concerned after he saw my eyes turn white. “What happened to you?” “Nothing. Just saw our past,” I said and pulled him in a deep kiss. If I ever met the Moon Goddess again, I would thank her for giving me this blessing. There were a lot of hardships, but we crossed them together. The past was not necessary, it was the present that mattered more. So I opted to not speak about it to them. Asphalt broke the kiss and whispered, “Time to punish you.” I blinked in confusion and he pulled me up in his arms. He took me to our bedroom and placed me on the bed. I kissed him passionately, our tongues clashing inside for dominance un
AVERY’S POVI sat with Dominic on the portico, overlooking the training of the pack members. He had his arm wrapped around my waist while I rested my head on his shoulder. It felt good to have everything go back to normal. After I pulled the soul of the witches out of Castiel, his body couldn’t take the toll and he died. His soul was consumed by Asphalt and we buried his body in that forest. Dominic took responsibility of the town after some of it was ruined. It took a month to get everything restored, but with my powers, the town was able to breathe again. There were no dark clouds on the sky and sunlight shone over us, welcoming us with its warmth. Since my body was revived from death, Dominic and Asphalt had me staying extremely close to them. If I walked into the bathroom for a minute, they would get worried.I chuckled at the thought. They were getting overprotective, but I didn’t mind it. I loved every second of their presence and wouldn’t ask for anything less. But there was so
