Lying in the cold dungeon, my body throbbed with pain from the beating I endured. I tried to get up, but the pain in my body made me paralyzed. My mind raced with fear and anger. How could they treat me like this just because I hadn't shifted yet? It wasn't my fault that I didn't have a wolf.
If I weren’t so weak, I would not be there. This thought made me cry. Everyone knew that I was weak and wolf-less.
Why did I have to bear all this? Why was I born, Moon Goddess? There was no need for me. I was born years ago, got humiliation every day, and now I will die like that.
I always longed for someone to love me, but it never happened. Nobody talked to me nicely except Declan.
"Declan..." His thought gave me hope. Where could he be? Did he know what was happening to me? Would he come to save me? He promised he would protect me, but why isn't he here now?
I looked at my bruised and swollen body, the evidence of their cruelty. As I tried to sit up, I heard the sound of the door opening, and a wave of hope flashed through my face.
"Declan,” I whispered and raised my face. But maybe I wasn’t that lucky. Heavy The door creaked open, and Emma entered. Her disdainful gaze met mine; she had something in her hand.
My head throbbed with pain. I tried to move, but my limbs felt heavy.
"You will marry him, Elena. There is no other choice for you." Through blurred vision, I saw my sister looming over me.
She approached me, her eyes gleaming with triumph. She placed a gown in front of me, a dress adorned with pretty designs and shiny gems. It smelled like fresh flowers.
"Time to become a bride." Her tone was sarcastic, and her voice was dripping with venom. She grabbed my hand and forced me to sit up. I hissed in pain. Her fingers untied the laces of my old, dirty clothes. I didn’t even have the strength to protest and stop her. Feeling my helplessness, tears welled up in my eyes.
Each time she pulled, I winced in pain, but she didn’t care. As she dressed me up, she pulled me onto my feet and put her hand on my face.
“You better smile, sister. Otherwise, Alexander will take off your skin. You know how harsh he can be when it comes to you.” She whispered and wiped the tears from my face.
She never loved me or cared about me. I was unlucky in this matter too.
“Ah Elena. You have no right to live.” I thought as she dragged me outside of the dungeon and led me to the grand hall.
The music was playing, a delicate melody that lulled me into a state of unease. Emma pushed me forward into the light, and I felt the weight of everyone's eyes on me.
My eyes caught him; he was in a wheelchair, and his face was hard and stern. His lustful gaze bore into me.
“So we are taking the girl. This deal would end our enmity.” Alpha of the crescent pack stood up and put forward his hand to Alpha Alexander. He was the one who killed my father, and now I was going to be his son’s breeder. No, I won’t allow this. I knew I had to fight to the bitter end. I will not accept this so easily. What if I killed him too and took my revenge?
Summoning every ounce of strength left within me, I managed to break free from their clutches. I ran with all the desperation and fear that had taken root in my heart, and my legs carried me toward the source of my torment.
With a silver knife clutched tightly in my trembling hand, I lunged at him. Before that, I stabbed him; he moved fast and grabbed my hand, halting the attack. The crowd fell silent, and I froze.
“You need to learn a lesson. Don’t worry, we will teach you how to behave accordingly.” He grabbed my neck with another hand and started squeezing it. I struggled against the man's grip, but he was too strong. He was increasing the pressure on my neck; my breath started getting heavy, and my eyes filled with water. I coughed badly and squirmed in his grip.
I didn’t even resist. My wolf was silent. Today it was proved that I was weak, extremely weak.
And when I felt that this was my end, he stopped.
Leaving me in shock, he backed away. I fell to the ground with spindly legs.
“K.. kill me." I tried to say it but ended up in a whisper.
“We will fulfill your wish, but not today. Now you will get your punishment. As an Alpha of Crescent Pack, I ordered to get her bald as a punishment for stabbing her Alpha. Gemma, the order must be executed immediately." He declared and sat back, his voice dripping with cruelty. I froze at my place. The weight of his decision made me paralyzed for a moment.
“No, don’t do it. You can’t do that. Don’t even dare to touch my hair.” I start looking around in horror.
“Emma, please help me.” I started pleading; my face got wet with tears, but her calm face made my heart sink.
“Alexander, don’t let him do that. I am your mate; please save me.” With a glint of hope, I looked back at Alexander, searching for some sign of mercy in his eyes. But all I saw was that same cold mask he wore, giving nothing away.
His Gemma and two burly pack members stepped forward with shears in their hands; their faces were hard. They seized my arms roughly. I struggled against their grip, my eyes wide with fear as I realized what was going to happen.
I struggled against their grip, knowing that there was no escape from my fate. I felt like an animal trapped in a cage, helpless and alone. I yelled, cried in agony, and begged for mercy, but their faces remained stoic, and words fell on deaf ears.
“Mom.” I looked at my mother, eyes filled with water. She turned away from seeing me, and my last hope was dead.
“You all are cruel and monsters. I cursed you; fate will not have mercy for you.” I cursed them all with every ounce of strength I had left. With each passing moment, I lost more hope and any semblance of strength I had left.
I squeezed my eyes shut in fear. My head was tilted back as the blade hovered just inches from my hairline. I could feel its cold, sharp edge against my skin and the fear rising in my chest. Suddenly, a piercing scream filled the air, causing me to open my eyes. I saw Gemma as he stumbled backwards in pain. Blood seeped between his fingers and dripped onto the floor.
I quickly put my hands on my neck, trying to protect myself from the same fate. Who did this to him?
“Stop.” A heavy and commanding voice cut through the silence. My heart raced as I turned to see who it was. A big man entered with four men beside him. Our pack’s guard struggled to get out of his grip but couldn’t. Standing in front of us, he cut the throat of the guard and then tossed the lifeless body at Alpha Steven’s feet.Alpha Steven got up from his seat. His face turned pale, and sweat appeared on his forehead. I never saw him like that.“We thought you would be troubled. That's why I have come.” I heard his heavy, arrogant voice.“Alpha Logan.” Everyone bowed in reverence to him. In shock, I looked at him again. He was sitting majestically on the couch.Dark blond hair, almond-shaped eyes whose ice blue color was giving me a chill, strong cheekbones, short stubble, and full lips, with a slightly flat upper lip. Three buttons on his shirt were unbuttoned, revealing perfectly toned chest muscles. I never saw him, but Declan always talked about his perfect brother, ‘Alpha Logan’
When my eyes opened, I felt a sense of unease. Confusion clouded my mind as I tried to piece together the events leading up to this moment."Where am I?” Curiosity overcame me, and I couldn’t help but wonder: What was this place?Instead of the somber darkness and a cage I had expected, I found myself in a warm and inviting room. The soft glow emanating from the lights created an atmosphere of comfort and solace. The room appeared to be well-furnished, with cozy armchairs and a crackling fireplace that radiated gentle warmth."Where am I?” A wave of fear washed over me. To my surprise, I found myself in a blue silk gown.“He took me here; why?” I whispered in shock. Frantically, I looked around the room, hoping to find some answers.Suddenly, a chilling sound pierced through the silence, causing a shiver to run down my spine. The next moment, the door opened, and a figure standing beside the door caught my attention. She was a maid, maybe."W., where is Declan?” I asked nervously.“Al
With a jerk, he pushed me aside, and I stumbled. Suddenly, my mind becomes blank. What did he say? Why don’t I remember it now? He said something, but what was it? Why did it disappear from my mind in a moment?“You will be presented in the pack’s council at lunar night. The rule must be followed, and you will be punished for what you made my brother do.” He sneered and got up from his seat. I looked at him in shock.“What did I do? I didn’t even meet Declan for a month.” I took a step back and said it with trembling lips. Pack’s council name sent a shiver down my spine.“Don’t try to fool me. You have to bear the consequences. I never forgive; you will pay for the crime you committed.” He said it with disdain and moved forward. The breath stuck in my throat."Don't, please, don’t do it. I will do what you say. Please tell me where Declan is. Is he fine?” I asked, and suddenly he came closer to me.“What will you give me in return, little girl?" He demanded.“I can work here as your m
The night breeze slips through the cracks in this cramped little cupboard, and my thin top is no protection against the cold. I hugged myself and clutched the worn sheet in my hands with shaking hands. Tears lingered in the corners of my eyes.I looked around to find that I was not alone. Many young girls were there, all tired, broken, and unconscious.I tried to move my hands some more, but couldn’t. There are giant chains around my hands; they must know that they will be strong enough to break free from the rope. This, on the other hand, didn't seem like a regular chain. It looked like the kind that held giant beasts captive. My heart rate accelerates, and my movements become more desperate."HELP!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. "SOMEBODY HELP ME!"Damn Alexander! I will have my revenge. It had been a day since they dragged me to this dark, cold dungeon. I still couldn’t piece together the reason why, but I knew—today was the day of my sentencing. The murmur of the guards outsi
"Elena and I were madly in love," Declan began, his voice barely a whisper, and my breath caught in my throat. He paused, letting the weight of his words settle over the room. I clenched my fists, feeling the sharp sting of my nails digging into my palms. "What... what are you talking about, Declan?" I managed to choke out, my voice trembling. He turned his gaze toward me, his eyes hard."On the day I attempted to take my life," he continued, "I received a letter and a dagger from Elena. I recognized her handwriting immediately. Every curve of every word was hers." His voice wavered for a moment, a flicker of the old Declan surfacing, but then he forced it down, his expression hardening. "In the letter, she revealed that Alpha Alexander had decided to marry her off to a disabled man. She pleaded for me to take a stand for her, and if I failed, she threatened to end her life with the very same poisoned dagger she had sent me. I did what she wanted. That’s all I knew." His voice grew
When my eyes opened, I felt a sense of unease, as if I were in a dark place. The absence of light made me question my surroundings. Was I in a grave? The thought sent shivers down my spine, but I quickly dismissed it as something I felt strange. Confusion clouded my mind as I tried to piece together the events leading up to this moment.Suddenly, a memory resurfaced. I remember the council meeting. The realization hit me like a wave, leaving me bewildered and disoriented. What happened to me? How did I end up in this mysterious situation?“Where am I?” Curiosity overcame me, and I couldn't help but wonder: Despite the initial confusion and apprehension, the cozy room provided a sense of refuge, a temporary respite from the unknown. As I gathered my bearings, I was back into the same room.“He took me back? Didn’t he kill me? Maybe Declan save me?”Feeling strange, I woke up from a deep slumber. As I removed the blanket and checked my surroundings, a wave of fear washed over me. To my
“Remember me?” He leaned closer, his voice a low, rough whisper. His smile was cold, almost mocking, as he watched me struggle to find my voice. My mouth opened, but no words came out—I was too stunned, too scared. Why hadn’t he killed me yet? I was at the council meeting but now….I yanked the blanket over myself, retreating back against the wall, my body trembling. He chuckled softly, the sound dark and unsettling. “Don't worry, Omega. I don't eat sweet things so quickly. I like to savor them... slowly.” His eyes gleamed with something dangerous. My breath caught in my chest—did he just smile? No, he can’t. He is a devil.“M-My clothes?” I stammered, my voice barely a whisper, fear tightening my throat.“Gone. Threw them away. I don’t like dirty things.” His voice was deep, and rough, sending shivers through me. I couldn’t understand—why did he bring me here? What did he want from me?I forced myself to ask, though my voice shook. “Where am I?” His eyes never left me, sharp and in
"Beg me." His voice was like a jagged edge, slicing through the tension in the air.“What?” I gasped, my heart racing in disbelief at his command.“Beg me for forgiveness by looking into my eyes.” I hesitated, then lifted my gaze to meet his. His eyes were mesmerizing, shifting colors in a way that felt almost magical—deep amber swirling into a warm honey hue. It left me stunned, almost dizzy. Why was he doing this? If he wanted me dead, he could easily do it. I was just an omega—so fragile and weak in his presence."Don't look away," he murmured, his voice low and dangerous. "You know I can make you my puppet, but I don’t want to do that. I want to see your helplessness. Look into my eyes and start obeying me."“What if I don’t?” I managed to say, finding a flicker of defiance within me. I was alone in this world; no one loved me. Nothing could be worse than the emptiness I felt. What did I have left to fight for?His eyes narrowed, shifting to a furious crimson, streaked with yellow
