Lillian's POV

It felt like torture waiting for Amari's operation to end.

I felt like I was standing on the cliff...I felt like I was on the verge of death.

It felt like an eternity.

I stared at the operating room intently waiting for someone to come out and tell me that the operation was successful and my daughter survived.

I want to hug Amari tightly.

I want to shower her with kisses.

I want to see my daughter.

"She'll be okay," Marcus voiced out.

I turned my head on him and I can't help but treat him coldly.

I know it was an accident but I am blaming him. I needed to direct my anger on someone because if not I would lose my sanity.

"She better be Marcus because if something happens to Amari I won't forgive you until I die,"

He fell silent.

He tried to reach my hand and hold it but I brushed off his hold.

"I shouldn't have agreed to this setup," I said. I fought his gaze. "It's hard forcing ourselves into your world Marcus,"
