Marcus's POV

It was empty.

The moment I stepped inside the room where Amari was admitted.

All I saw was the used hospital dress and her messy bed.

I just got back from work.

We were fine when I left.

Where did they go?

I can feel my knees shaking as I walk towards the bed that Amari used.

I started throwing the blanket on the floor and almost flipped the bed looking for my daughter.

Filled with rage I threw the pillow on the floor and sat on the bed as I grabbed my hair tightly out of frustration.

"Fuck!" I shouted.

"Where is my daughter Lillian?" I asked even though no one would answer me.

I roamed my eyes around trying to find some clue on where they might have gone but I stopped when a small note caught my attention.

It was Lillian's handwriting.

'We can no longer force ourselves into your world Marcus. Just live a happy life with Alice and your child. I'm sorry,'
