ALLISON’S POV
“What? Where am I” I thought. My vision was blurry and I could barely see. “I must have fainted”. I whispered. Holding my head as I tried to sit upright on the bed. “Oh ma’am, how do you feel now” a middle-aged British woman in a maid uniform asked, helping me up “Who are you” I asked. “I’m Donna ma’am, the chief maid here. You fainted last night ma’am” she replied sternly. “Fainted?, Well, that was dramatic,” I said jokingly. “Dramatic!, everyone has been worried ma’am” she scolded. “Woah, you remind me of my dad, that man can’t take a joke, are you always this uptight” I said smirking. “The doctor told us you need to rest you are not fully healed from your injuries from the accident” she replied, ignoring my question. “So you will be on complete bed rest, you will use your drugs as prescribed and…” she trailed off as I interrupted her. “Hold on, how did you know about my accident?” I asked worried. “Even though I hated this marriage, protecting my family’s dignity mattered. Adrian cannot find out about the incident that happened back at home. It would be a mess” I thought. “Well, Mr. Russette had to call your parents ma’am, now enough talk, you should rest, 'll go prepare breakfast” she replied and left the room. “But…” I trailed off. I looked around the room, it was quite beautiful and peaceful. “At least, my parents aren’t here to frustrate me,” I thought. My mind wandered to the events that occurred these past days. I haven't even had time to think about Daniel leaving with Evelyn. “Have they been seeing each other behind my back? Why did he do that?” those questions ran through my mind and tears began to roll down my cheeks as I sat on the bed looking outside. “Ugh, and now I'm married to a heartless scumbag and his stupid rules. My life is miserable,” I said aloud. “Talking to Liza would feel good at the moment. God! Liza, we haven't spoken in days” I said as I jumped up to search for my phone which was nowhere to be found. I decided to go downstairs to ask Donna if my luggage had arrived. I walked down the magnificent hallway with amazing artwork. “I'm sure Adrian has left for work, I mean he's a businessman after all,” I thought. I saw Donna with a tray of tea walking down to a room and ran after her calling out her name. “Donna, have you…” I trailed off. “Adrian, he's here!” I thought. I was inside a study, and Adrian was sitting across the room reading a magazine. He lifted his head and our eyes met instantly, he raised an eyebrow and his gaze was cold. I felt nervous. Something about him intimidates me so much. “You won't walk all over me the second time, I'm going to ignore him.” I thought. “Donna, you can drop that over there and take your leave” he said looking down at the magazine, completely ignoring me. “Alright sir” She dropped the tray and turned to face me. “Ma’am, you shouldn’t be out of bed, do you need something?” she asked. “Yes, my luggage, have they arrived?” I asked “Oh yes ma’am I will have them sent up to your room” she replied. “Oh thank…” I said but was brutally cut off by Adrian. “Throw them out! I will not have that filth in my house!” Adrian said, interrupting me, still reading the magazine. “Throw everything out, I don't want it in this house, do that now” he repeated looking at Donna. I was shocked, “Yes sir,” she said as she was about to leave. “No!, you will not throw out my things!” I said angrily clenching my fists. “Go Donna,” Adrian said firmly still ignoring me. “I'm sorry ma'am, I have to go,” Donna said before leaving the room. “Of course, he is her boss, she will listen to him,” I thought. I clenched my fist almost hurting my fingers as tears formed in my eyes. I was angry and upset. I walked briskly towards Adrian-who was back to reading his magazine-and grabbed the magazine and threw it on the floor. I looked up and saw an enraged Adrian. “How dare you! Those are my things, my personal belongings. You have no right, no right to throw them out!” I said as tears rolled down my face. Adrian stood up with his hands in his pocket. His anger instantly turned into a laugh, making me more angry. “Right? I don't have any right, you say? I have every right over you, you are my wife and will submit to me. Maybe you should go over the details of this deal with your parents.” he said. My heart shattered, his words hurt me and tears continued to roll down my face.it felt like my world flashed before me. “So this is how hell feels,” I thought. “You are a heartless and dis…” I trailed off, wiping my tears. I was stunned, I couldn't put my words together. “I've had enough of this. You are pathetic and you make it so easy to torment you but I swear if you cry in front of me next time, you won't like what happens next. Percy, get her out” he said, a man in black, who is his chief security, came in. “Don't touch me, or I'll make you regret it” I snapped looking into his eyes and pushing him off. I wasn't sure I could take him but I was enraged. I walked out of Adrian’s study and looked back at Adrian who was smirking before I slammed the door. I ran to my room and fell on the bed, bursting into tears. “I hate this, I hate my life. I should just kill myself. Adrian Russette is a scumbag freaking bastard I hate him, so much…” I shouted outside the window but was interrupted by Donna who walked in. “Ma’am, I'm sorry about what happened earlier, Mr russet is my employer and I have to listen to him.” she apologized. “It's fine. I completely understand” I said calmly. “Don't take anything Mr. Russette says to heart. He is a sweet person,” she said, defending Adrian. I scoffed at her words without a response., “I brought your phone, maybe it would cheer you up” she continued. I shrieked and ran towards her embracing her. “Thank you so much” I said collecting the phone from her. “You're welcome ma’am” she said as she left the room. I immediately dialled Liza’s number. “Liza, hey, I'm so glad you picked,” I said happily. “Are we even friends, what happened!, you got married without me! I don't understand, I've been calling you for days” Liza said agitated. “It's a long story, Liza,” I replied. I told Liza all that had been happening. Daniel and Evelyn to the wedding and how Adrian treats me. “Honey, I'm so sorry. I wish I were there to hug you. How are you doing” she said. Liza was the first person to ask after me in days. “I'm not fine Lizzy” I said bursting into tears. “Of course, you're not, but you cannot let that scumbag walk all over you. You are Allison freaking Edward!. The bravest, kindest and smartest person I know. No one can talk down on you” Liza said trying to cheer me up. “She's right Adrian Russet can't keep walking all over me! You can play this game” I thought. “Hello, you there?” Liza asked, catching my attention. “Yes I am, you're totally right Liza. He cannot keep making me miserable. Two can play the game. I will make Adrian Russet te's life a living hell too!” I said smirkingADRIAN’S POV.Is this all you can give me!” I shouted frustrated at the team’s effort.“I asked for new ideas on how to improve the company and all I hear right now are useless ideas, is this the best all you can do” I screamed, throwing all the proposal documents in the air."Sir, I... I think," the team manager stammered."What was that? Finish the statement, Mr. Casablanca," I said, staring at him."I believe the company should expand its focus on car shipments, particularly in countries like Spain. Car sales are increasing these days..." he trailed off."I'm glad you didn't finish that statement, Mr Casablanc, because frankly, I couldn't care less about your beliefs," I stated firmly. The room fell silent."I give you 48 hours to propose better ideas. I want it on my table as soon as it's done," I said, leaving the conference room.I stormed out of the conference room, my frustration boiling over as I adjusted my tie. The meeting hadn't gone as planned, and I couldn't shake off th

I stood there in shock wondering what had just happened. “How dare him” I said throwing my purse at the car as he drove away “God, can he get any rude or annoying? I don’t care if that guy got to you, but I don’t deserve this, I just said my mind! There’s something called freedom of speech, dumbass” I shouted, knowing that he couldn’t hear me “Maybe I shouldn’t have said that to him, now how will I get home” I thought , “Ughhh, he didn’t even let me take my damn phone” I whined, placing my hands in my palms. “There is something called freedom of speech, but pardon my brother, he isn’t used to treating ladies well” a deep voice from behind me said as he walked past me and picked up my purse. “I believe this is yours right,” he said handing me the purse. “Oh no, it's that guy that pissed him off
ADRIAN’S POV.I walked into the study still angry about what happened the night before. “I can't believe she spoke to Delvin!, I wonder what they spoke about,” I thought.I slammed my hands on the table still thinking about what happened.“Is she even home?” I thought“Maybe leaving her on the street was a bit harsh,” I said aloud remorsefully.Although I don't like her, none should be treated that way. I was just so angry that I didn't even think about it.I reached out to the landline and placed a call to Donna, asking her to come into the study.“Hello sir,” Donna said as she walked into the study.“I was just about to tell you that Mr. Drew is here and he asked to see you sir” she continued.“Drew?” I said surprised. “Let him in” I sighed, hoping he was here to see me about something else“Also Donna, please come back in after I see Drew..” I asked Drew and I were raised together. What are you doing here?” I asked, shocked but genuinely happy to see him again. It was a relief to see someone who had helped me when I needed it most—especially after last night. I’d been wondering how to repay the favor. Before Drew could answer, Adrian cut in with his usual hostility. “Do you stalk me now, or what?” he sneered.Drew smirked, unfazed, and calmly sat down behind us.“It’s a basketball game,” I said, rolling my eyes at Adrian’s rudeness. “Anyone can watch, can’t they?”Adrian turned toward me, a flicker of surprise in his expression. “What? Were you talking to me?”“Yes, I was, Adrian,” I replied evenly, my tone challenging.I knew this would spark an argument, and frankly, I didn’t care. He had no right to speak that way to Drew—the same man who helped me last night when Adrian had left me stranded on the streets. Before things could escalate, Drew stepped in,
