Chapter 11: You Are Beautiful

"Edmund has left?" I asked the two bodyguards standing at the base of the stairs when I got off the bed the next morning.

"Yes, he left early. You were told to go somewhere this afternoon."

"Did he say where?"

He shook his head so I just shrugged.

Oh well... How many more days do I have to be here again? It feels like I’m getting stuck her for so long.

"Breakfast is ready in the garden," Roy greeted me as I entered the dining room.

"Why?"

"It's Mr. Edmund's order."

I rolled my eyes and followed him out.

There is a stone pathway from the kitchen backdoor to the gazebo that stands right in the middle of the garden.

I haven't toured the house yet.

I thanked Roy who immediately distanced himself to let me eat in peace.

I stared at the vast amount of food in front of me, then glanced at my dress as if it didn't fit on such a grand table.

The clothes in my closet, if not formal, are too warm for the body. I can't wear lingerie and a nightgown.
