Chapter 96 Miserable and Helpless

Lucky's POV

I was eating bread while breastfeeding baby Darya when a pair of warm arms wrapped around my waist from the back.

For a moment, I froze. My heart raced as soon as a familiar natural scent filled my nose. His growing beard tickled my neck when he gently kissed me there.

Tears pooled in the corner of my eyes. I squeezed my eyes closed and spoke with a low and hoarse voice. "G-Good morning…"

He buried his face in my neck. I felt him breathing raggedly. "I thought I'd never see you again…"

My heart ached for him. He sniffed my neck as I felt his hug tightened. "I was s-scared. That was the fcking scariest moment of my life, Lucresia. Not being able to see you again is my biggest fear. Fck! I t-thought I'd die."
