Chapter 113 The Unknown

Lucky's POV

I woke up early the next day. When I went downstairs, I saw my daughter eating her breakfast. Mom and Damien’s parents are eating with her. The maids are behind them and they're enjoying watching my daughter.

“Good morning, mommy!” Darya was the first one to notice me.

I smiled and kissed her hair. “Mornin’”

I grabbed a bread toast and looked at dad. He was silently watching me. I greeted my parents and they greeted me back. The eyes of Damien’s mom are puffy. I guess she cried all night because of what happened to her son.

“How’s your husband, Lucky?” Dad asked

“He’s not okay, dad,” I answered honestly.

“Is daddy sick, mommy?”

I looked at Darya and shook my head. “No, sweetie. Daddy is not sick. He's just…tired."

She looked at me innocently. "I will kiss daddy to make him okay."

I just smiled and looked at the elders. "I'll go out to buy some hygiene stuff."

"Oh! Let our maids do that, sweetie." Damien's mom said but I shook my head.
