Lucky's POV

My lips parted as I stared at Damien after he whispered those words. His eyes are flickering and I definitely know why. We've been together for so long. I know his way of thinking. I know the meaning of his stares. I've memorized them all. Today, there's one thing in his eyes. Jealousy.

Rad cleared his throat. "Engineer. Long time no see."

Damien's lips rose. He glanced at me again before he shifted his gaze back to Rad. "Yeah… I heard you visited my house last time. You seemed so fond of my daughter, huh?"

Rad nodded. His eyes were dark and there's no humor in it. "She's like a daughter to me."

I was shocked. Like a daughter? It's just a simple reason but why do I feel like there's something in it?

"Do you have a daughter, uncle Rad?" Darya asked, smiling innocently.
